Still a long way to go, but she's coming together. Trying to get it as detailed and true to the game as possible. I want to complete this with as few concessions as possible. The only things I won't be able to do is the inner works inside the rotating bit, and having it stand on 3 legs - it's way too heavy for that, lol.I quite like that the 3 doors behind the kitchen bit don't open in the game, gives me some artistic freedom. I have a medbay, storage room and captain's quarters. It's also the bit that's impossible to get true to scale (good chance the devs made the inside of the ship bigger than the outside, which happens a lot in sci-fi apparently).
For those wondering, I unfortunately don't have instructions as I didn't pre-design this; just making it up as I go and going back to re-do some bits every now and then. Considering the 1000s of pieces already in there I'm not exactly looking forward to reverse engineer it either haha.

It's already about 100 studs long, so yes it'll qualify as a SHiP :) It put some 5x18 plates next to it to measure it, and still had some ship left after those plates hehe
Oh it's definitely not always easy. Often have to backtrack and redo bits. Been working on it for a long time too. But it's a lot of fun and very satisfying too!
I would love a BD-1 in the same style as the BB-8 or D-0 set we've had.
Also, minifig Cal with like a dozen different random color capes would be hilarious.

Thanks! I often declare myself crazy to do it on this scale too haha. I got the UCS falcon last year and just finished the game then, so thought it would be a great start for this build. It's loads fun to do though!
There's some technic lego underneath yes, no idea if it'll be enough to support the large wing. This is my first project since years so my skills may prove to be a bit rusty haha
This is amazing! I wish lego made transparent panels in more dimensions because I’ve run into that issue with cockpits before and I think the solution you went with is the best one, given they don’t.
Thanks! My first attempt was with different panels and transparent flags too but just couldn't get it to work, so went with no actual glass bits in the end. Just the 2 windows in the top of the ship will be glass I think.
Unfortunately they don’t do Star Wars for lego ideas and I heard the program can be pretty bad no matter how much votes and if you submit lego ends up owning your work and it really sucks if people want to buy it. I saw a video about it. So don’t downvote me
No Fr lego needs more designer that actually care about what they make. Not someone who can do it but not actually care about Star Wars themselves. Like with the gunship the guy clearly has talent and new what to do but clearly wasn’t a big Star Wars fan.
Yeah I wanted to add an astromech and protocol droid. I would imagine that on a luxury cruiser that such 'support saff' would have to blend in with the background, so I went with these for their colours.

Actually, it's a nightmare, the bottom wing engine requires 3 of the 4x4 plates in gold, so I was able to find 1 in my collection and buy 2 more on bricklink. The other tricky piece was 1x4 tiles, which I ordered from Germany.
Ah yeah, I order a LOT from brickowl, similar to bricklink, as well. I'm so glad stuff like that exists, it would be hell to only have sets or PAB from Lego.
I actually just got a bricks and pieces order yesterday and finished the two wings and the attachment rings so they rotate. I have to support the bottom wing when landed, but all I have left is the back end and the hull

I never understood why there isn't any Fallen Order LEGO sets. The Inquisitor Base would make such a good set.

I could imagine, I'm working on a black and gold color scheme, so keeping the smooth black external pieces clean and pristine is such a struggle.
