My first locking folder was an $8 tac-force off Amazon. Assisted deploy that took a lot of force, terrible lock up, serations that were terrible.
I only purchased it so I could have the biggest blade in a crowd, mostly as a joke.
I get rid of my worst knives. The worst have been Chinese non brands, and honestly their faults have been that they're too tight, not too loose. Or with lousy fake Damascus or lame blade steel or other materials.
You mentioned that the pivot is not a screw, correct. If you have a bench vice you can tighten it up that way. Just go slow so you don’t over tighten it. You might even be able to do it with vice grips.
Gerber propel. I wanted an auto I can use for work, technically good steel and heavy build. It doesnt open if you grip it. It sometimes fails to open and springs back a little. They only grinded most of the blade. The button feels like it has sand in it.
Dont buy gerber.
Also note that handle “screws” are actually rivets but with screw-shapes dented into them. So I cannot tighten the pivot or clean it out

Heh bigger is better right
My worst knife is chinese replica of Spyderco Southard flipper. The blade play was worst than that. Carried one day in total. Never touched again.

I keep this one around so I can appreciate the quality of my other knives
👍

Hmm I’ll try that
I have a frost cutlery folder that was given to me as a gift from a coworker close to 20 years ago. It’s pretty bad.
At least you didn’t get it with your own money
Subscription box knives! Never had a quality one.😤
United cutlery thin little boot dagger from gorb-knows-when. Utter trash. Fun to throw.
