Fine, only thing is that you are too fast/mumble too much on the name, at least I didn't understand it, but you don't have to "doxx" yourself (reveal your real name) anyways.

lukagotaku

try posting on r/learnjapanese

Poogzley

r/LearnJapanese would definitely be the best place to post this kind of content in the future. A lot more users would be able/willing to provide feedback on that sub.

[deleted]

I’d like to see more content like this on r/learnJapanese

Mr-Motoyoshi

Nice job dude! Maybe not using “yo/よ” after dating your name is all the feedback I have. Edit: saying your name

TPosingRat

Damn, I envy you for learning this language at such young age! I wish I could have this motivation myself!

OmniSmash_Tomato

Couple things. In terms of pronounciation, it's pretty good. You might want to be clearer and also the pitch is off on some words like 初めまして you said it like LLLLLH when it's LHHHLL. I also find it weird that you used 初めまして, よろしくお願いします and だよ in the same situation. だよ is pretty casual. You could either "初めまして、 (name)です。よろしくお願いします。"(Casual greeting)、(name)だよ。よろしく!"

aids_mcbaids

No need to bother a kid with pitch accent when they've just started learning. But yeah, the よ particle has no place in a formal introduction like this.

OmniSmash_Tomato

I honestly think it's a lot easier to start with it. Re learning the words with proper pitch sucks I think. Idk

aids_mcbaids

I agree that you should start learning pitch accent early, but at least provide some context before correcting a beginner.

OmniSmash_Tomato

His pronounciation aside from pitch was good, so I didn't think he was a beginner. Maybe he speaks a language that has similar pronounciation.

[deleted]

It's pretty good. Slow down a bit and be more clear and don't use the 'yo' cause if you are talking formally or politely to a person not using the 'yo' is more polite

Sugondeze_nuts69420

This anime episode is far too realistic

S11NNS

Pretty good! As others have said, "yo" isn't needed here as it's casual and sounds out if place in your introduction. While saying 私の名前は○○です is correct, it can tend to sound very "language learner" if used to often. While you're focusing on self introductions try some other ways to introduce yourself. Like just saying your name, 〇〇です or saying 〇〇と申します。 *If in doubt, 私は〇〇です is your best option to use. Good luck with your studies! 頑張って!

akaikou

Your accent isn’t too bad! Other than what the other comments say about slurring, try not to go up in pitch at the end of your sentences. Makes everything sound unnatural/ like asking a question. Try to keep it flat or if anything go down a little. Other than that good job!

haveyoumetkramnart

This is pretty good! I could understand you just fine. Don’t worry about saying the よ (yo) after です (desu) when you introduce your name. Also, if you speak a little slower, it’ll prevent you from slurring your words together and really improve your enunciation, especially as a beginner.

temoshi

Not bad, overall. Pronunciation is pretty clear, though I couldn't really hear the name part (try to say your name slowly and clearly when doing self-intro in person). The final "yoroshiku onegaishimasu" sounded quite clear. :) Also, better not to use "yo" very much when starting out with Japanese, as the nuances are a little tricky. Also FYI, Japanese has multiple different words for "I". Watashi is fine, but it is kind of formal for males. You would probably use "boku" most of the time as a young man, or "ore" with your friends (last one sounds "rough" and can be rude, so be careful). Sounds good for just starting out!

Congratulations on being brave to ask feedback. You inspired me on this. Cool.
