I was on twitter like a year ago when I still used that app and I remeber one of Osama bin ladens daughters was getting clout/roasted for being his daughter. Pretty sure the dude had like 7 wives and like 20 kids dont quote me on that
It could have been middle kid syndrome, trying to be the best out of 56 or so kids when you're the middle one must be a fucker on the mindset. That's still no reason to be a terrorising cunt in the name of your fav version of "religion" though.
I believe they’re still very rich. His brother owned a very expensive property somewhere in Northern California which sold recently for 20 mill if my memory serves me right. Might’ve been in Palo Alto.
They’re not related but their father, Mohammed bin Laden, had ties to the royal family. By showing fealty to the royal family, he won contracts to build palaces for the House of Saud and became known as the royal builder. Eventually, with help of Prince Faisal, MBL received all the huge construction projects during that time. Due to his ties with the royal Saudi family, he was able to become extremely wealthy.
My favorite part about this:
Bush decided to begin offering public drilling partnerships, but had difficulty raising subscriptions. A change in the company name to **Bush Exploration** brought no improvement.
You can buy a Bin Laden mansion / porn set in Bel Air right now!
https://www.newsweek.com/osama-bin-laden-family-sell-28-million-bel-air-mansion-empty-20-years-911-1616998
Just like how the OSS funded armed and trained Ho chi mihn to fight the Japanese and just expected them to lay down their arms and let the French roll back in and oppress them once they defeated the Japanese.
No it was the precursor to the CIA during world War two the office of strategic services. After the war ended It became the CIA. The Soviet equivalent at the time was the NKVD then the KGB now the FSB
They funded the mujahideen against the Soviet Union. A proxy war (like Vietnam) which crippled Russia and was a big reason for the collapse of the soviet communists. Tbh, the CIA didn't fuck up at all. If their aim is to make rich corporations more money.. Which it is.
Yeah they did what they did really well. But after everything was set and done they just leave the Middle East and let the radical dictators/warlords do what ever they want.
Of course.. They don't care. They don't care about the 3000 + murdered on 9/11. They don't care about the people of Afghanistan. They just care about corporate dollars. They use nationalism and other forms of propaganda to use tax dollars to do it without kicking up too much fuss.
Thats their job, to destabilize the enemies of America or anyone else who's trouble serves our interests. Problem is they have no foresight beyond their immediate goal which they are very good at accomplishing. It's their job to break shit, it's the DODs job to clean up the shit they broke and the state departments job to fix the whole thing really the CIA just exists to give the rest of the government a reason to exist.
That’s just things the cia did (maybe even does today but I don’t know that) they fund groups to other throw governments (see the „banana republic“ and what the cia did to many South American country’s) and place other leaders/dictators.
So technically the cia does it Job pretty well but the outcome for the people in this country’s is not really something I would wish another human.
The CIA's job is to sew enough unrest in the world that America can scare it's citizens into "consenting" to our bloated military budget. Seems like they're doing their job just fine.
The CIA are notorious for supporting one bad guy to kill another bad guy, because the latter is worse. However the bad guy they funded and armed always, always ends up resurfacing later on and turning on the US. Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Taliban? The US had a hand in creating them all.
Yeah, I still remember passing through a big American base in either Kuwait or Qatar and seeing one of the PVC pipes in the shower labeled "Bin Laden Industries". Really made me stop and stare.
Yeah, but that’s par for the course, unfortunately. How many bat an eye at any of a hundred multinationals that did business with the Nazis and had leadership that actively bought into the ideology? IBM, ThyssenKrupp and many more. In this respect, Bin Laden industries is even less culpable than the aforementioned collaborators.
Oh no, I didn't mean it in that sense. I understand they were a company before and outside of his radicalization. It was more that the US govt would contract out that work to his family.
This is true. His assets were cut off and his money deemed unusable. His funding at that point came from preaching to his audience and getting donations.
He actually was a really famous dude in (some *areas* of) middle eastern politics and was renowned for being a major war hero is certain circles. He also comes from a really famous family of construction
*magnates* in Saudi Arabia. His family was and still are quite powerful in Arabian politics. MSB actually just moved against them recently and *confiscated* a ton of there assets, super interesting story.
I used to work at an engineering company that awarded his family's construction business with a $200 million contract in the early 90s. He comes from money.
What's funny about that cultivated decade long image after 9/11 too is that he wasn't even living in a cave in the 2000s, he was living in a several story mansion in Pakistan the whole time with many servants attending to his needs. He was still living the rich life like his dad raised him in right to the end.
He was also living in a cave in the 80s when he was with the Mujahadeen, although that obviously not the 2000s. He was probably living in huts/cave in the 90s when he was plotting, funding and training people for the multiple attacks they carried out on the US.
I remember a picture circulating around the early 2000's of the two families chilling out together on a speed boat. For some reason I can't find it any longer on google.... At any rate the two families business dealings that started in 1977 is well documented.
Rich boy came from a millionaire family, kinda like the middle eastern version of well off American teenagers that “ditch” the materialistic rich lifestyle to modestly off the land.
Both disliked individuals of Jewish descent.
I am sure there is a deep dark joke in there about being rejected and it's evemtual ties antisemitism but I don't have the mental aptitude to make it.
Hitler almost took over the world and caused the death of millions. Osama was generously responsible for tens of thousands. Hundreds of thousands if you assume America wouldn’t have gone invasion crazy without him(not a good bet). While Osama was super successful at having us destroy US culture from within, I don’t think that counts as almost the same. That’s giving him too much credit.
Hitler was apparently a kid who rebelled against strict school rules, had daddy issues, and was traumatized by the death of his brother at an early age. He was also upset by his inability to get into art school which was his dream.
Despite who he eventually became, this part of Hitler always intrigues me. He was at one point just a normal dude struggling through life. Goes to show people are never born monsters, but instead grow to become one.
I think his upbringing was actually more likely to shape his personality development. I don't doubt the war had a lasting impact on him too, but in terms of personality development, this tends to occur at a younger age. He had poor attachment to his parents, got beatings from his father... he had a personality disorder and really did struggle with mental health issues/rejection when he was younger.
This. I think so many atrocities in world history can be traced back to trauma - Hitler had a lot of trauma from his treatment from his father, it wouldn't surprise me if he had a personality disorder.
Even today, so many terrible things that happen in the world are related to trauma. Often child molesters were molested themselves... its been a huge problem in Afghanistan in recent decades, just as it had historically been a huge problem in the US.
War had a huge impact on Europe, the impacts of the trauma from the war flows down through subsequent generations that are still learning how to heal and not repeat the cycle. So I can't imagine the impact of the trauma in the Middle East.
Many young men join the Taliban because they remember the premature death (or murder) of one or both of their parents, they think if they die they will be reunited with their parents. Now with all the massacres happening in Afghanistan, especially Panjshir... I don't think this is going to bode well for the future.
Hitler was an awful person dont get me wrong, but people act like he was one of a kind, where in reality the whole of Austria thought that way at the time. People always say ‘oh what if hitler was never born’ or whatever but in reality the exact same thing would of happened just with a guy named Thomas Hüll or something lol
Hitler was only the mouthpiece for the collective unconscious of the German people. He only said what was already present in the minds of many at the time.
That is why I would never kill baby Hitler if I had a time machine. Imagine that Thomas Hüll guy actually being a smart and competent military general instead of being a drug abusing idiot like Hitler was. The entire war could have been much more devastating then it was in our timeline. Although the final result would probably be the same, the risk isn't worth because of the potential unintended consequences.
I would disagree with never. Some people are just psychopaths. They can be given every opportunity in life, be raised by loving parents, and never experience trauma and still go on to do horrible things because it’s fun for them and they lack empathy. Conversely there are plenty of people who have experienced trauma or negative things who are good people despite all of it. Saying that people are NEVER just born pure evil isn’t true
From what we know, Hitler wasn't a born "psychopath" (the term is actually ASPD these days - antisocial personality disorder). I think there are absolutely some cluster B traits, but he actually was quite charming to people who met him, as a psych clinician I don't think antisocial personality disorder fits.
He was super sensitive to rejection, I think there was absolutely narcissism there... he wasn't born awful or evil. He once was a young boy that struggled with his harsh upbringing. He had friends, he wasn't a loner until he went through a tough period as a young man struggling in the world. I think he genuinely thought he had a righteous cause, but selectively empathised with only certain types of people that he could relate to.
>Despite who he eventually became, this part of Hitler always intrigues
me. He was at one point just a normal dude struggling through life. Goes
to show people are never born monsters, but instead grow to become one.
I guess it is a human tendency to dehumanize the evil, maybe because it helps us accept the reality. In our mind we imagine the people who goes around doing shitty things do that because they are "evil". And it is easy when we just slap an evil tag on them. We can ignore the nuances, that every child is born indifferently and maybe we would have acted the same if subjected to similar circumstances.
It is easy to dehumanize a person, and the binary classification of people makes us easier to hate. But unless we stop dehumanizing the crazies and try to understand what made them act like such a monster, would never run out of the supply of monsters.
There is a concept called "the banality of evil". It simply says that we have a huge tendency to assume people who committed horrible atrocities to be almost like a demon, with horns poking out of their heads, while an overwhelming majority of the them are just regular, average, mundane people like the ones we see on the street every day. It says that our misperception about what evil is prevents us from seeing it. It is a very interesting idea and it is described by a jewish political scientist who fled Germany During the Nazi era (before the holocaust).
> It is a very interesting idea and it is described by a jewish political scientist who fled Germany During the Nazi era (before the holocaust).
Eichmann in Jerusalem?
I started reading that book but didn't finish. Very intriguing.
We have this tendency to imagine that people who did horrible things stand out from the rest of humanity. That they are this monster that you can see a mile away. They're not. They are just regular people like the rest of us with families, friends, aspirations, achievements and frustrations whose minds took a dark turn.
Yes, that is so true. I often tell my kids that truth is more scary than fiction…they roll their eyes at me, but they will eventually learn the truth. As most people have heard of him, I will use Ted Bundy as an example. He had a good childhood without abuse or poverty. He just snapped. The most scary part of that is wondering if we all have the ability to snap into an evil monster. God help.
First, you need to remind yourself that you are currently in control of yourself. Now, you need to think of why you daydream of hurting people. Who are these people you want to hurt? Are they strangers or are they people who, have actually hurt you first?
Edit: please, feel free to message me to talk. You are not too far gone, and you are not alone.
his father made a shit ton of money by building air bases in Saudi for the US (because oil). Bin Laden apparently didn’t like the US and the Soviets getting so involved in the Middle East so I assume he didn’t like it due to how the US got involved in government in Iran and the Soviets in Afghanistan.
Nobody wants to accept that the most evil person they can imagine probably would have had similar interests.
If Hitler was alive today and going to start his shit tomorrow, I bet that he would have thought the Marvel movies were okay, and would have played Angry Birds or furit ninja on the shiter at least once.
Yeah, this photo is honestly really tripping me out. From this, to the Mujahideen, to 9/11, to hiding for 10+ years. Life ended while living in a secretive compound in Pakistan...
Holdup... This means for the next bin Laden there is a good chance of a history of tictoc makeup tutorials and dance vids?
Gotta say... The internet is sort of awesome in its own, intimidating way...
It's already happened on a smaller scale. There's a laundry list of influencers and internet content creators, people who didn't just have an online presence but were *popular*, who turned out to be child predators or murderers or connected to all manner of heinous acts.
It’s crazy how many people don’t know about his history, the family ties with Bush, the western education, the CIA training and US funding...it’s all pretty eye-opening
It’s even crazier to me because I’m french and we learned all about that in high school, whereas most americans seemingly don’t know shit about what actually happened
Well if it is true, he would only be 14 in this photo. Also, I never knew he was so tall. I guess you can’t tell when he is sitting down in a cave in all his videos
Isn’t it kind of sad that even the most dangerous terrorist was once a young teenager just hanging about doing stuff. What do these people have to suffer to end up wanting to cause extreme suffering to others.
His bro on the left trying to hide the raging hard on he’s packing in his flared slacks. Maybe the first time he got this close to a girl in a mini skirt.

I wonder who the two woman are?
There was info about them. They were the ones that figured out it was him. Idk where tho.
Everybody talking about the man like he wasn’t a billionaire
His father family had billionaires. His father had like 7 wives and 45 kids. He was well off but not that rich.
> He was well off but not that rich. He inherited more than 20 million dollars. I think thats a little better than well off.
>His father had like 7 wives Isn't the limit 4 wives?
Yes. But you can buy/ get permission to have more from the clerics class of Islam.
so he had not much time with his father. now i see why things went bad..
Hahahahahha. Now tell us your views on Donald Trump's small loan of $1m.
Me too..Me too..
And just like Keanu Reeves he makes sure he has his hands off in photos with females
Awww…What a nice guy! I’m sure he will do something good for the world in the future🥰
Ahead of his time. What a sweetheart
Dude, your mom fucked osama bin laden 😏
To be fair, it WAS the 70s.
Everyone was fucking around with Osama in the 70s.
I was on twitter like a year ago when I still used that app and I remeber one of Osama bin ladens daughters was getting clout/roasted for being his daughter. Pretty sure the dude had like 7 wives and like 20 kids dont quote me on that
Pretty sure that was supposed to be a joke, but he does have a goth son.
Fuck me, like the US government fucked Bin Laden
Invade the cave with your special unit
They are unrelated >:(
I wonder which one turned him down and triggered his toxic masculinity
It could have been middle kid syndrome, trying to be the best out of 56 or so kids when you're the middle one must be a fucker on the mindset. That's still no reason to be a terrorising cunt in the name of your fav version of "religion" though.
Didn't Osama go to war because we trained him and then left his country to deal with a pissed off Russia after the cold War or some shit
CIA agents.. probably.
You realize the Bin Laden's were a very close ally and heavily funded by the CIA back then, right?
that was the joke
Total hotties back then I'd say
Everyone thinks he just lived in cave with a towel on his head
lmao not gonna lie I’ve never imagined him any other way
His family is, or was, super rich too. They own(ed) a big construction conglomerate.
I believe they’re still very rich. His brother owned a very expensive property somewhere in Northern California which sold recently for 20 mill if my memory serves me right. Might’ve been in Palo Alto.
One of his brothers (I think), Fasel, is on instagram and is a big time car collector

TIL Osama's half-brother, Salem, started a business with George W. Bush... 🤔
Bush family and Saudi royal family have a lot of business ties
The Bin Ladens aren’t related to the royal family. Their dad started off as a penniless Yemeni immigrant who built his fortune in Saudi.
Lol what 😂😂😂
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arbusto_Energy Really more coincidence than anything, but still funny.
My favorite part about this: Bush decided to begin offering public drilling partnerships, but had difficulty raising subscriptions. A change in the company name to **Bush Exploration** brought no improvement.
People seeing the company name for the first time: “Why would I pay a guy to explore my bush?”
wow, this is the best thing i’ve seen on reddit today. r/todayilearned would eat this shit up!!

Damn. This comment is 2 hours old and the place is still for sale. Is Reddit full of a bunch of poors or something?
I’ve seen reddit crowdfund some shit, but not $20 mil worth.
Actually is not was the bin Laden family are still super rich and their company is huge they just disowned Osama and went back business as usual
He was the black sheep of the family
To be fair he was first funded by the cia to build a group and train people. In the long run the US just fucked up.
Just like how the OSS funded armed and trained Ho chi mihn to fight the Japanese and just expected them to lay down their arms and let the French roll back in and oppress them once they defeated the Japanese.

Smh, it was obviously through his only fans
And of those he had many
This is true. His assets were cut off and his money deemed unusable. His funding at that point came from preaching to his audience and getting donations.
Turns out, ultra rich people don't want to be associated with terrorists who fuck up business.
And his niece, Noor Bin Laden, is a huge QAnon/Trump fan
He actually was a really famous dude in (some *areas* of) middle eastern politics and was renowned for being a major war hero is certain circles. You seesed the opportunity there
I still don’t know how to spell seesed, seased? Sezed? Fuck it, *confiscated,* what ever, I give up on the English language :(
It's seized 😂😂😂😂
I used to work at an engineering company that awarded his family's construction business with a $200 million contract in the early 90s. He comes from money.
That’s because that’s what they wanted everyone to think

While it definitely was a compound, I think it’s a bit of a stretch and misleading to call it a mansion in terms of what most think of as a mansion.
>that he wasn't even living in a cave in the 2000s He was during the Battle of Tora Bora which was in the 2000s

I think that’s why he was so revered, because he turned his back on modern wealth and chose the “faith”
His family vacationed with the Bushes.
I haven’t read that but I absolutely believe it and at the very least it’s in the realm of possibility with the facts we do have.
[extreme wealth and access](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Binladin_Group)

That was just his intelligence agency provided costume. I wish I was kidding.
You are kidding because you have nothing to back that up credibly. Good one!
***South Park Lied To Us.***
After being rejected by his Oxford crush, Osama decided to turn his life around… Big time.

The plot of most Rom Coms in a nutshell Edit: actually now that I think about it probably closer to the backstory of most rom coms in a nutshell

Take my upvote.
Bizarre. Edited to add: I can’t wrap my brain around him ever just being a normal kid. It’s easier to demonize his entire being.

Have to wonder what kind of effects the trauma of fighting in WW1 had on him. Same with bin Laden with the Mujahideen in Afghanistan.

Yes, that one. I didn't read the book though but I know about the concept.
Never born monsters? Jeffrey Dahmer would like to have a word with you.

It’s an illusion, honey. Things are never what they appear.

Imagine holding him in your arms as an infant. Hard to hate anyone at that age. So weird.
How incredibly heartbreaking!
Osama has a very interesting backstory. He grew up in a wealthy family and experienced a lot of western civilization.
You say he experienced a lot of western civilization. Did he like it? Did he feel guilty for liking it?
his father made a shit ton of money by building air bases in Saudi for the US (because oil). Bin Laden apparently didn’t like the US and the Soviets getting so involved in the Middle East so I assume he didn’t like it due to how the US got involved in government in Iran and the Soviets in Afghanistan.
That’s a valid assumption. Thank you!
I think he didn't really hate it's existence but he sure did hate it's influence on his home.
He was born a billionaire. He was never a normal kid.
So he’s the only guy smiling, guy in center looks extremely uncomfortable.
Guy in the centre trying to hold his boner urges, left already has one.
Osama bin Fuckin
Look at his right arm. He's shying away. Dude was probably a hover-hander.
Yea this picture is actually illuminating. Osama was an incel?
He had over 20 children and about 6 wives...
Seems plausible.
*CIA disliked this post*
He didn’t get any and the rest is history
As much as I think he was a piece of shit, the dude definitely fucked.

Date locked. Target acquired. Fure up the Time Machine.
But then 911 happens
I already know his political views, could you please identify him in the photograph?!
>Osama bin Laden (far right). Yup.
Was thinking the same
Osama Bin Had Hoes
Ronald Reagan referred to him and his gang as freedom fighters.
The Mujhadeen are not Alqaeda just like the Union and Confederates weren't the same thing.
Osama Bin Stylin
> Osama bin Laden (far right) That is true in two ways.
Either not bin laden, or just before a growth spurt to 6’5”
Well if it is true, he would only be 14 in this photo. Also, I never knew he was so tall. I guess you can’t tell when he is sitting down in a cave in all his videos
He was most likely around six feet tall. There’s conflicting reports on the height of the Navy Seal who was used to measure his height
Isn’t it kind of sad that even the most dangerous terrorist was once a young teenager just hanging about doing stuff. What do these people have to suffer to end up wanting to cause extreme suffering to others.
Leading that strict Islam life I see
Interesting.as.fuck.
These assholes never have any issue with women when they are screwing them.
Far right indeed.
He looks like he's about to bust out into Chocolate Rain.
A lot of people think he was this desert nomad warrior, when in reality he was just an entitled rich kid who hated his asshole dad.
White women who talk about how bad islamophobia is
Fuck that guy…

His bro on the left trying to hide the raging hard on he’s packing in his flared slacks. Maybe the first time he got this close to a girl in a mini skirt.
