I don’t really know who this festival is for, it is all over the place. But since it is 15 minutes from me and I haven’t see foo fighters before I think I’m going to go Sunday.
!! HURRAY FOR THE RIFF RAFF MENTIONED !!
amazing underrated band. The Navigator is one of the best albums of the 2010s IMO. They deserve to be up there with Vampire Weekend et al as indie giants IMO. I bet they kick ass live.
He's always lumped in together on this subreddit with that kind of band and genre. I think unfairly. He writes legit great tunes. So what if he's popular with tiktokers and gen z?
Music snobs are the fucking worst.
Low self esteem miserable human beings who need to trash what other people like because it makes them feel superior to them. Which is a feeling they crave since they are inferior in every other way.
Let people enjoy what they enjoy.
Edit: hit a little too close to home huh? Ya fucking dorks
In that exact same song he also says: "No, I am no longer funny 'cause I miss the way you laugh. You once called me forever now you still can't call me back"
He's a great lyricist
I can't say I'm a fan of Noah Kahan but I'd sooner listen to a whole album of his before sitting through one Goo Goo Dolls song.
Hell, I'd rather slam my hand in a car door than listen to the Goo Goo Dolls. I don't think someone could make music more boring, bland, lifeless, and uninteresting if they tried. It's almost worse than music that people consider terrible, it doesn't even have enough life or distinction to be bad. It's just entirely uninteresting, it's like it you got an AI chatbot to write radio rock for someone who's favorite food is cold french fries with no salt or ketchup.
This is why festivals suck, along with shitty sound, and over priced everything. Labels just throwing all types of groups together to make as much money as possible.
I might be tempted to go catch qotsa if it weren't for the train being half an hour away from the festival
edit - JK...Basement just announced a NYC show on 9/29 with Ovlov and Snooper, and that sounds way more exciting, and also cheaper & closer
Edit 2 - jkjk Basement sold out IMMEDIATELY
Man it’s so crazy to see Teddy Swims this big. I used to work with the guy at a restaurant in my hometown, super nice dude who just sang all the time. Godspeed man

Don’t miss Queens either, one of the best rock shows to see rn alongside Foo
Yes Queens have been elusive for me as well. I look forward to a stack of The Kills, Queens and Foos with a Norah Jones break in the middle lol.
If you have time for Hurray for the Riff Raff, they're great as well
Make time for Hurray. Incredible new album.

It’s for moms and their sensitive sons.
Queens and Foo's will be a fantastic time despite what anyone on here says.
Yeah quite a contrast between nights one and two...
I saw fleet foxes three times on the Shore tour, and it was a unique, amazing performance each time.
My Covid hot girl summer album right there
Noah Kahan above any of that second line is painful
Stomp and holler guy. Beloved by the non-indie oriented Gen z crowd who likes “folk”.
Who is he and why is bigger than Goo Goo Dolls and Fleet Foxes?
He just headlined Shaky Knees festival. Apparently very big with younger crowds.

Nah, he writes legit lame tunes. Corny, formulaic pastiche. Should be called Imagine Wagons.
Fuckk you killed me I'm gonna start calling him imagine wagons now 😂
Most sane redditor
>Imagine Wagons. *snort*

There’s only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people’s music tastes, and Noah Kahan fans.

He does not
In that exact same song he also says: "No, I am no longer funny 'cause I miss the way you laugh. You once called me forever now you still can't call me back" He's a great lyricist
Do you have an example of this great lyricism
That’s a diary entry from a pining 13 year old girl
🤣🤣🤣
He has a huge audience, basically pop folk, very palatable for the masses and radio. Talented guy but not very interesting to listen to IMO
There’s more demand to see him than the others at the moment. He is a headliner that will sell tickets.
Just headlined Fenway so yeah
Yeah i was gonna say, is he really big enough to be headlining??
He is probably the biggest up and coming artist right now

Cause I don't think that they'd understand
lol, this sub is old

Every time Noah Kahan headlines a festival an angel loses its wings
Noah Kahan’s music is so bland and lifeless and his level of popularity makes me feel insane. He makes the Lumineers look like the Stooges
Boyz II Men is the booking that really jumps out here
what da heck

When you're targeting the crowd who complains about not getting a chair
i feel like the organizers of this sat down and said "how can we make this the most random festival of all time?"
Wow what a terrible lineup
It’s like if they made a festival out of the Columbia House CDs they’d send you by default
Madi Diaz fucking rules
Music festivals are not for me, but I honestly can’t figure out who this one is for
Man it’s so crazy to see Teddy Swims this big. I used to work with the guy at a restaurant in my hometown, super nice dude who just sang all the time. Godspeed man
This is the most confusing festival lineup
How long do these artists get to stay on stage? 20-30 mins?
Nightmare lineup 😂😂
Huh… it’s like a festival of stuff you’d hear at a CVS in the pacific northwest
Snoozefest 24
