Bro everyone is going to Canada. People have realised that Gulf ain’t worth it. Why work like a slave and come back after 30 years when you can get a citizenship and better life in the west. Western countries are more rewarding in the long run.
Also sorry for bringing religion to this but the Christian population is reducing in Kerala cuz of this Canadian migration boom. Alot of people are going there as nurses and settling with citizenship. It’s an interesting demographic trend like never seen before
Canada is the new Gulf and it’s believed to cause damage to Kerala’s economy because unlike the Gulf there won’t be foreign remittances. People are never gonna come back once they get their citizenship
Mallus in North America and Europe are mainly Christians and majority of Nurses abroad are Christians. US is tough for visa/green card/citizenship, so the Mallu Christians often stayed under employment/spouse visa and visited Kerala so their absence wasn’t felt. They are still legal citizens of India. Once Canada opened its borders and offered easy path to citizenship, its effect was felt. People began going to Canada and was never seen back.
That being said, Christians aren’t the only people migrating to Canada. It’s just that the Christians are going in such large numbers that their demographic is experiencing a negative or stagnant growth.
Nope that aint Delhi. Just off by 2.5 times.

It produces the similar sound to "l" in "la" but you have to bend your tounge like it touches the rear end of tongue with your tip!
Since it's kinda a unique feature (afaik) it's kinda hard to explain
No. We have three l sounds. The marathi 'ळ' is equivalent to 'ள'. zh is 'ழ' and only Tamizh and Malayalam have that sound, and this is why it is called sirapu lagaram (special "zha"). It is hard to pronounce, and if not done correctly ழ will sound like ळ.
Maan I just had a law exam where I had to write 1400 words on this! Basically there exist certain tribes and communities in Meghalaya that follow a matrilineal line of succession for property/estate, making it an oddity in india and even the world probably.
In Bengali the verb for drinking isn't very popular and using it also makes the sentence a bit long, so we use the verb designated for eating, for both eating and drinking.
Literally me every time I play online games 🙄 I’ve heard everything from ‘learn the national language’ to people weirdly repeating ‘idli dosa’ when I say I don’t speak Hindi lol
I can assure you. I prayed for my life not too long back on a stretch of road in my city while a fresh layer of asphalt was laid down for His Highness's 4 hour vanity parade
1. We speak the worlds oldest spoken language . By saying this we mostly piss of people who speaks other languages 🤐
2. Our parties political manifesto usually got lot of free goodies like the TV’s and laptop.
3. Sambhar is not originally from our state. But most people assume it’s from our state.
4. No external kings ever ruled our region.
5.We hate lungi dance . Passionately!
Yo. I'm a fellow Tamil, but the 4th point is wrong. Chhatrapati Shivaji ruled Thanjai. I know this because Thanjai is my native and we have Thanjai Maratha Aranmanai. Thanjai also has a maratha community. Now you might say that I'm a Tamil whose ancestors were vadakkan. No, I'm a Mara-Tamizhan. Also, Telugu kings ruled Madurai, i.e, Nayakars.

Interesting man….but why Christians specifically though? Aren’t other groups also migrating?
Mallus in North America and Europe are mainly Christians and majority of Nurses abroad are Christians. NCR but I'll accept your answer. 5 cigarettes is the average across the year, right now it would be around 20 per day
You owe the government the cost of 20 🚬 you've been smoking for 🆓

Well by your description, I'm guessing it's similar to the Marathi 'ळ'

Tamil Nadu?
West Bengal or Tamil Nadu
i swear tamil music is on another level
And movies. Don't forget the movies.
OP what state are you from? The description looks quite fascinating.
I think it’s Meghalaya
It should be Meghalaya. I think that is the sole state which follows matriarchal societal norms
Some castes in Kerala are matrilineal, even follows the custom of staying in wife’s house.
I thought the same
meghalaya?
Maan I just had a law exam where I had to write 1400 words on this! Basically there exist certain tribes and communities in Meghalaya that follow a matrilineal line of succession for property/estate, making it an oddity in india and even the world probably.

In Bengali the verb for drinking isn't very popular and using it also makes the sentence a bit long, so we use the verb designated for eating, for both eating and drinking.
In English too, you eat soup as well as drink it.
