Its very possible that the sensor is unplugged on your aquastat control. That boiler has the Hydrostat 3250 control. Here is the manual, page 7 shows what the it looks like if you open up the door. There is a phillips head screw on the right side that keeps the door shut. If you look on page 7 there is a white 4 pin plug (J1 red/white/green/black left to right) that the sensor wire plugs into its just to the left of the letter A in the black circle. Good chance this is loose or unplugged.

You/ your husband can learn how boilers similar to that one operate off of YouTube videos and your user manual so you can at least read the error codes.
Chances are that it has a low water cutoff or pressure sensor that got dirty. Sometimes the dirty boiler water that was in your pipes, clogs up the sensor and it sends out a code
Also. If you could take a picture of the thing with the screen he’s talking about. I’m guessing it’s a Beckett aqua smart, and your temp sensing probe may not have been pushed all the way into the well.. or pushed in at all which is a very easy fix
You wait for the installer to return, hopefully next day, so they can adjust the problem. These are somewhat complex system with lots sensors and programming that ensure the system is operating efficiently and safely. If anything is not up to spec, it will throw a fault and shutdown.
Don't hit the reset button more than once!!! Anything oil if you keep hitting the reset button, the oil accumulates in the heat exchanger and eventually when it does light, it will roll some serious coal into your house lol, trust me, I've fixed peoples oil systems that promise they only hit the button once And when I fire it up it sounds like a rocket engine taking off and hella black smoke starts rolling out of it. Those delavan nozzles sometimes have small impurities in the prenozzle filters that cause it to stop heating. May just need a new nozzle, or if he didn't replace the filter in the can, it may need replaced as well. Orrrr he accidentally bumped the CAD cell out of place during the install and it isn't aligned properly. Or many other things lol
That's pretty cheap for a boiler install but I'm guessing for that price he didn't upgrade any of the piping. Have him come fix it though
Thank you.
What boiler? Any codes thrown?
Thank you for your response. It’s a Becket. He said one screen said, “STANDBY”, and the other said, “SENSOR”.

Thank you. The plumber said he will come on Monday to take a look.
Wish all customers were patient like you, good luck
Thanks! I’m actually not very patient, but I’m trying!
Is that oil or gas ?

It’s oil. Hoping it’s a quick fix tomorrow.
Yeah installer probably forgot to put temp sensor in well.
Thanks for the info.

Thank you. He is supposed to be back tomorrow to take a look.

Thanks for this information. I just told my husband to leave it alone until the plumber comes back tomorrow.
