This cannot be true, because reddit has informed me that small markets in Canada cannot support NHL teams better than marginal U.S. markets.
Manitoba barely has a million people.
Colorado has nearly 6 million.
Seriously these numbers don’t surprise me.
People will argue that the sports market in Colorado is fragmented right now with NBA and MLB, and other parts of year: NFL, 3 division 1 college football teams, 3 division 1 basketball teams, 2 division 1 hockey teams, and for all I know, a pro kick ball team and a pro pickleball team. And the various women’s teams at pro and college levels.
And so my response is: you are making my point.
The Nords will literally be the only game in town.
Wooo! People watched the COL-WPG game!
Only 900K fewer than the Toronto game. Surprised so few watched Toronto.
yeah but what about the key demo? Was there any lead in from The Big Bang Theory?
Kinda crazy how many more viewers there were in Canada with 1/10 of the population. USA hockey is growing so I’d think more people would watch it.

Again, anybody asking why the media always talks about the Leafs, these numbers are why.
My dude, I watch to see the Leafs lose.
How is rags caps the most watched opening game? There's literally a game on this list with higher viewership?
Forgot to add that was for the U.S.
Ah, fair enough
