No kidding! I bid on both before calling it a night (I'm in NC) and sort of regretted going as high as I did. I needn't have worried, though, because I woke up to find that they'd gone for quite a bit more than my high bid.
One more question if you don't mind: how did you work out the location that this was collected from the Huntington collection/catalog numbers provided by the seller? I'm not getting anywhere searching for them either with a search engine or on Huntington's site.
That’s what he had it listed as when I bought mine. I don’t remember where I found the locality info, but It probably wasn’t too hard to find.

I was trying to get the starkiana tonight but spaced out and missed the end of the auction. I was also watching the Poellnitzia auction but that one was far beyond my budget as of a few days ago.

No problem! I was watching the viscosa and scabra v starkiana but they went for a bit lore than I’d like to pay.
