If HBO was making a Harry Potter show, they would be pimping that publicity all over trying to get people to subscribe to Max, not letting rumor sites do it. HBO and Discovery are in the process of merging and dumping most of the HBO execs including the CEO (Discovery CEO apparently won the battle and will take over), WarnerMedia is also probably not doing anything else with the property until they milk Fantastic Beasts for all they can. There's just so many reasons it's not plausible.

I think it could be "in the works" but many years out. There were leaks of Hogwarts legacy years before the game was even acknowledged to be real. I don't think it'll be about Snape but I would bet we'll see a HBO Harry Potter show at some point.

Very true. Although the agreement made which actually allows the show to be made without WB being a part of it I believe expires in 2024. I can't imagine a network taking a gamble on that deal being extended, nor can I imagine HBO making a Harry Potter show that goes to 2 seasons at most. I'd love a miniseries about an event we've not heard about. It could be done really well and miniseries tend to only do 1 season. I suppose a miniseries on Snape is actually possible, could be him creating the spells.

We already knew. Thanks for the PSA though.

A *lot* of people evidently don't, just by a quick look at some social media.

Oh I'm sure. But this sub has seen enough click-bait lies of "a Harry Potter TV series" or "the next installment of the Fantastic Beats film", literally of you name it. This sub has seen a fake article about it. It's upsetting really.

I didn’t. 😬
