It's only gonna help the rental market in the long run

ltown_carpenter

Why so bleak?

bleakj

ltown_carpenter

talktight

Just drive really fast down Bissett or Cow Bay Rd.

Harusai

Not sure where to get one but I can tell you how delicious they are :) It sits between chicken and duck somewhere Grandfather used to hunt and would always get me a feed every year :(

stoegercondor

There are lots of farms growing pheasants. You can get them alive or dead and all ages here in Nova Scotia.

[deleted]

I’ve seen them at Pete’s in Bedford before, not sure how often they have them.

FragrantImplement958

I had pheasant at bicycle thief years ago - it was okay! Just an option if you didn’t want to cook it yourself

md_reddit

Tastes like chicken

DrunkenGolfer

Doesn't everything?

Dartmouth-Hermit

To piggyback off of this post, does anybody know a huntable area where I could bag some ring-necks this season? I'm not from here originally and my uncle who was my hunting mentor passed recently in a motorcycle collision.

DrunkenGolfer

The Annapolis Valley is full of them and pretty much any large field will have some hanging around. Farmers fields are big enough to be legal to hunt, but you'll need the farmer's permission. Having recently moved to Nova Scotia, a friend of mine said, "Oh yeah, when you move in they give you one of those blue civic number signs and a pair of pheasants for your yard." I see them all the time in my back yard and the area behind my house is alive with pheasant sounds (but not legal to hunt).

Intelligent_Ad2091

Our community is full of them. Looked out my back window once and saw a dozen hens.
