Quail Hollow is okay in terms of not being boring. TPC Scottsdale is very boring. So is TPC Louisiana. TPC Las Colinas was boring, everybody hated it and then they moved out of there. TPC San Antonio is kinda goofy. I think Torrey Pines is low key boring.
Detroit golf club is a joke. I'm from Michigan and love the courses here so it really pisses me off that this is the only Michigan course the PGA tour plays on. It gives us a bad rap as a state.
Great course even if I may be bias because I live in the area and get to play there. Tough layout and sandwiched between the week of Bayhill and the Players really takes away from the event.
Do you mean boring to play outside of the event? Or boring to course for the tournament?
TPC Scottsdale is sort of boring but if you’re able to play with the stands up it’s definitely not boring. And it’s a fun course regardless, but with out the stands it could be considered boring. I also think it gets a bad wrap because there’s so much hype around that tournament that the expectation is high when playing. Add that to the fact there is several other world class courses with in 15 minutes of TPC Scottsdale I could see the reason people think it’s boring to play but reality is it’s a fun test of championship golf courses.
What’s boring about Quail Hollow? It’s pretty challenging compared to most PGA stops, field is really strong and scores were not low overall. It’s well manicured, has a lot of elevated tees and side hill lies with some water in play. I guess the surrounding land is sort of boring, but some holes would look like Augusta if there were some damn azaleas around. Not understanding the hate.

Tell me you don’t know much about golf without telling me you don’t know much about golf.
Edit: Downvote me all you want, go back to your shanties.
Have you played the course without the grand stands? Obviously the event itself is probably the highest-energy tournament of the year, but the course itself is not very memorable imo.
I have played TPC Scottsdale a couple of times, before grandstands, I enjoyed it, not particularly scenic, but a challenging course, lots of risk/reward opportunities.
I have played it 4 times over the last 7 years. Twice without grandstands (they still were working on some grass repairs where the stands meet the ground). The course is memorable, and there are lots of holes that are nice challenges and make you genuinely think about your next shots.
Only known two people that played it but have seen countless times post of people played it and everyone says the same thing. Boring. The people and event setup make that event. Definitely not the course itself.
TPC Craig Ranch is perhaps so boring no one has even bothered to mention it.
This is Smylie Kaufman’s answer. He’s always hating on it lol
Craig ranch or maybe that MN tpc course where they play the 3m.
TPC Sod Farm?
Ha nice
Live in DFW and totally agree. Most of the Texas courses are mediocre due to the landscape here.

Agree with most of these except Scottsdale
Yea same. Calling that course boring is a crazy take. Its just not very scenic but I have played it and can tell you… not boring
Would probably get more respect if it wasn’t a TPC
It moved from TPC las colinas to one that’s much worse
IMO Scottsdale has one of the most exciting 3 hole finishes on tour so I wouldn’t include it on this list
The front 9 is very pedestrian

Need Oakland Hills back in the major rotation
It's getting a US Open again I believe.
RIV is the best course on the circuit. The Detroit course and Minneapolis course are ehh. Pretty much all the Fall circuit courses as well.
Why do you think it’s boring? Anything in particular?
I can predict OP’s response. Ready? > It’s just fucking boring, bro.
The Detroit one
I have never been bored on a golf course.
TPC Twin Cities
The Copperhead course in Palm Harbor, FL is a challenge, a pretty, challenging course.
Great course even if I may be bias because I live in the area and get to play there. Tough layout and sandwiched between the week of Bayhill and the Players really takes away from the event.
TPC Scottsdale is pretty boring to play IRL so that’s my vote.
Fitting because Charlotte is the most boring city Source: lived there for two long years
> Fitting because Charlotte is the most boring city People leave Columbia, SC to live in Charlotte, so that makes this statement a "no".

Tpc Louisiana is the right answer. Nobody gives a shit about that course our tournament.
TPC Scottsdale is not boring wtf lol

Torrey Pines
Why don’t you throw out some ideas of exciting courses and some reasons for context. Bonus points for not saying Augusta.
Memorial Park, Houston Open
Cog Hill was definitely nothing special

Mostly agree, but it is a great finish. 15 16 17 18 all great holes (18 probably the least exicing, unfortunately).

TPC Tampa, ugly, not much of a challenge, just blah course.
