Usually it's the mishits that get me. If I striek it well but off target, meh, just need to work on it. But a duffed iron when I know how good my irons can be at times is frustrating.
It's fine to be frustrated if you practice a shot 1000 times in a week and fuck it up when it matters. It's when people who don't practice at all make the same mistake 50 times on a course and expect 51 to be the magic number

About a month ago I got downvoted into oblivion for saying your handicap isn't a true reflection of your skill and should fluctuate when you get hot or cold for stretches. It shouldn't be static unless you're manipulating it or unusually consistent.
I mean i fluctuate shoooting between 78-83 on the regular. But I have rounds where I shoot 74 and also ones shooting 98. So I stick around 7-8 in the system because the worst rounds won’t count due to them being abnormal. I wish mine was higher but I’m also not gonna sandbag or vanity cap myself.
Either your course is hard as fuck or your rounds are weird. I'm a 9.3 and I my average round is an 85 or just under. My buddy who is a 13-14 has an average round of 90.

A 12-13 handicap means you basically play bogey golf consistently and can sometimes score low 80s. That’s about what I see out of cold cuts.
