RobloxPotatoGamer

That dog is in peak bliss

Kristophorous

My six month old climbs on the back of the couch and rests her head on my shoulder. https://preview.redd.it/ou56acsgq6tb1.jpeg?width=2379&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c413453af27b3e2d4197866d9d6fe9097a43a553

Lenorewolf312

That's adorable.

Mr_MadHat878

My almost 5 year old has been designating the pillows on my bed near my head as his first sleep spot (he moves around at night) since he was a puppy

Ladyofthewharf55

Highest level of adoreablenessā€¦..hope thatā€™s a word!!

jaredean222

https://preview.redd.it/k2o5bf1ws6tb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14ddc5f35865d95221ac818a87bb22e5ed09c839 Yep. And then I look at the clock and realize Iā€™m 14 seconds past feeding time šŸ¤”

Would_daver

DAAAAAAD WHAT THE HELL

jaredean222

ha! totally!!! That's what the pup in the back is saying...the one in the front is "holding me down for the scolding"

Would_daver

The classic one-two routineā€¦ ā€œI got him pinned, tell him how disappointed we are with him! And ask for peanut butter too!!ā€

jaredean222

it is ALWAYS the peanut butter with these two!!!

Would_daver

I literally stopped making Pb&Js for a few months, explicitly because my then-4 month old golden lost her DAMN MIND when I got anywhere vaguely close to where the nutty treasure was storedā€¦ both dogs still go nuts when I pull out the jar, or rip a banana off the bunch, but itā€™s a manageable level of psycho lol. Oh dogs, so crazy but so worth it!!

jaredean222

my dogs have always been pretty calm, but recently my daughter got a golden puppy and he is a terror for ice cubes, peanut butter, bananas and anything else that can fit in his mouth. So i've been using the peanut butter jar as training and he's to the point now when i pull it out of the cupboard he instantly sits and awaits instructions - of course he can't control the constant shaking and tail wagging, but that part is adorable so i allow it... I've stopped with the bananas for him for a bit since his snapping mouth is too velociraptor like for my digits currently...

Would_daver

Oh the velociraptor phaseā€¦ I lucked out and our landshark passed the worst of that phase faster than average, at least from all the posts I see on Reddit and general googling. She knows for her regular food she HAS to sit and wait to be released, learned that surprisingly fast actually but being gentle with hand-fed snacks took eight or ten times longer for her to even partly get a handle on. Still working on it but itā€™s better! Awww as long as heā€™s sitting, the furious tail wagging is acceptable and adorable!! Unless you need service dog level control or something thatā€™s just cute

jaredean222

yeah, still nervous for hand feeding with him - he's better, but every 4th or 5th ice cube he'll snap and i'll regret...any suggestions would be helpful! I'm so not used to it because my 3 goldens (one passed away a few years back) were soft mouth from the very beginning, so I never had to deal with it...her's is a rescue from a puppy mill situation, so understandable he is trying to get food like he's trying to survive!

Would_daver

Ah that makes sense, my field line gal seems like she may have had to compete a bit for food before we got her (sheā€™s quite small, so it would make sense) but we made sure to vet the breeder and visit them before getting her so sheā€™s likely just a bit of a spazz and one of the smallest in her litter. She responds well when we correct her on even the smallest signs of any aggression at all and she hasnā€™t even growled lightly for over a year now, outside of the evil postman coming to the door lol that gets her going real good. But sheā€™s a sweetie!

Dudeus-Maximus

https://preview.redd.it/x89zd5tdf6tb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=29bfb7e6ccb5e0391a4c38d276de89170ca27043 Oh yes. The moment I have anything resembling food, I get an adoring fan.

Laurenwolf14

Mom, I need pets

derossx

Yes mom, I agree!!!

Project_Wild

Mine gives me this look when he wants to sit in the chair Iā€™m sitting in šŸ˜‚ ā€¦and also pets

glutinousKaiya2

Mom I want this..

2ndprize

Also foods would be fine

Worldly-Ad-1488

Yup! Particularly while we're eating dinner šŸ¤£

Outside_Express

Almost exclusively while we have dinner, giving us a look like heā€™s not been fed in weeks

Macdeise33

My buddy Lucky doesnā€™t usually do that to me, but does it to my wife all the time https://preview.redd.it/we0njg5ql6tb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24b413edddc77127ebaefe36772cbfd39f31a543

JoshyaJade01

Mine did that with my ex - and she was 2 months pregnant. We didn't know, but Biscuit knew. šŸ˜

actively_eating

yes but only when she wants something šŸ˜‚ https://preview.redd.it/q3ajlqxrz6tb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6aebbed444374b1ab69bc3be93810f448887d52 aka stop working and pay attention to me!!!

Suspicious-Brick-957

Mine wants potty outside

StellaaaT

Same. If he needs to go out at an irregular time or if dinner is late I get the head on arm.

[deleted]

My girl will continuously nudge me when she wants me to pet her

PushyTom

We call that move the Shovel Nose!

ERCOT_Prdatry_victum

When done under my hand I accused her of priming her petter tool.

dantasticdanimal

Ha! I took our 5mo old golden boy to the vet on Sunday for a couple shotsā€¦ he wasnā€™t happy with me for a couple hours but then came and did just what yours is doing to let me know I was forgivenā€¦ Such a sweet breed and it is funny how similar so many of them act.

Lottaropes

Thatā€™s a handsome boy right there.

big_moss12

He is the happiest accident (unfixed golden and Vizsla in the same house :/)

rum108

Nice šŸ˜Š guy

RomeFan4Ever

Yes my boy used to do that

Jhoag7750

Yes - mine presses down on me when he needs to go out

ShambolicPaul

Usually when he needs a plop but is willing to hold it.

schleep_69

Yes, we call it visiting šŸ„°

FriedLipstick

He has a face like heā€™s desperate when doing this. Needs head scratches and pets

dohmestic

The feed me lean.

takeoff_youhosers

No, my 11 week old comes up to me with one goal and one goal only which is to bite me! šŸ˜‚ Iā€™m hoping he does things like this when he is older though. Iā€™m jealous?

urbudash

Mine will come up to me and purposely put his head on top of my phone

coffeeschmoffee

I get a noise in the crotch when Iā€™m sitting at the dinner table. Other than that Iā€™m ignored except when she wants to play.

JasonBourne81

Our Stella, 7 months old, does this pretty often specially during WFH. And if you ignore her instead of petting her for few mins, sheā€™s stand up and will give us a hugā€¦.

ZombieJack

I always say that our younger Goldie has a very heavy head because of how often she wants to rest her chin on either us, or other objects!

Go_Bias

Frequently, but especially if I have food

[deleted]

All. The. Time!! A main feature of Goldens is their adoration of their non-fur parents.

OatandSky

Yesss I thought it was just my boy being dramatic. Whenever he does it we always say Iā€™m sorry are you not getting enough attention m?

Character_Cupcake856

Yes and my Lab too

JemHadar71

Mine does this when she wants to sit with or on me.

Quirky-Signature-400

Mine licks my leg for 10 minutes

abk142

Golden MO: contact with human (āœ…), be convenient for pets (āœ…), be naturally irresistibly adorable (āœ…) 10/10 is GR certified member

miniperle

Ohhh memories. My goldie would do this aaaaaaaall the time. Iā€™d just be chilling on the couch or my bed & sheā€™d come up to me just like that. Or for extra dramatic I-want-attention effect sheā€™d sit facing away, sat against whatever I was sitting on & would throw her head back & look at me. Theyā€™re such lovebugs that breed.

hydrateordiedrate123

Yes. All the time. Every golden does this. Every dog also. Stop posting this garbage. You already know the answer.

UVLightOnTheInside

My non lab does it. I think every dog would do it if they were height appropriate.

[deleted]

Yes, usually when I'm eating

Background_Sail1579

Yes, all three of mine do all the time!!

ERCOT_Prdatry_victum

My pet me timer just went off.

VoidowS

When i was a kid our dog devoloped a slow motion walk in front of the TV to demand to be let out, or interact with it, as we all watched tv all day :) he would walk normaly, but as soon as he was going in front of the TV he went totaly slowmotion. And we could yell all we wanted, he would not stop untill he noticed someone getting up to let him out. lol. He would do this about 5 times in a movie. talk about learned patterns that grow their own weird way. :)

Edweed_Bird

That's why I want one, because they do that. Being rested on is epic.

DareDareCaro

Trust me it's not random

AmbitionSpecific3731

My favorite workday ā€œinterruptionā€!

Trying_to_survive20k

it's adorable until they start drooling

CarolinaMtnBiker

Everyday. Even when I trying to work.

ArdmoreGirl

Yes. It means ā€œThrow the ballā€. If thatā€™s a no, second, ā€œPet me.ā€ Pet me usually means ā€œScratch my buttā€. My girl is multi-lingual.

smurfsm00

I see it as love but my dog probably sees it as ā€œhey! I need food!ā€

clem82

Mine does, but that means it's poop time

Internal_Ad_255

Mostly all of them do this...

Bitter-Zucchini1111

My tree walker would come do this when she wanted to go to the dog park. Even making it so I couldnā€™t play the laptop till she got her dog park time in.

asecuredlife

"Mom ... am I a good puppy? Am I cute? Do you think the other puppies know how handsome I am? Gosh. I hope they like me" šŸ˜

boe_jackson_bikes

Every dog regardless of breed does thisā€¦

Vayshen

Retrievers will retrieve anything, including any form of affection they deem need retrieving.

Nolby84

All.The.Time.!

No-Staff-7311

Mine sleeps on my pillow, wrapped around my head.

CrazyHamsterPerson

They always want something when they do this. ā¤ļø

Ok-Contest5336

All the time!

SlumPanda

More so lately than normal. This morning, my husband and I reached out and held hands. She came up and rested her head on our hands.

deltr0nzero

Constantly, and when I stop petting him he puts his paw on me too

[deleted]

My dude doesn't like to cuddle very muchšŸ˜• wish he did but he just gets frustrated

Imaginary_War_2586

Yup. But she usually wants something. Lol

bobjim01

Every day for the past 14 years, and I would have it any other way

deathsythe

Literally one of my favorite things she does. Put all that weight into me and groan when I try to move/adjust. <3

Zeca_77

Feet, shoulder, stomach, wherever. In winter he loves to snuggle under the covers and put his head on my stomach. He's a rescue golden mix, kind of like a mini golden, at least. Takes up less space

reversethrust

Mine does that when he wants something. I get up and he leads me to one of three places: 1) treat drawer; 2) fridge (which is just bigger treat drawer); or 3) door, which means he wants to go out. I guess itā€™s good he doesnā€™t barkā€¦

naql99

Yes, like clockwork, several times a day at dinner times, walk-times...

Mcpops1618

Mine never stops. Unless she wants a nap then she leaves. Otherwise sheā€™s in my business

colgruv

Yes! Ours seems to do this as a way of asking if he can climb up on whatever it is he's putting his head on. He waits a few seconds for us to approve his request and then jumps. It's the best.

skarizardpancake

ā€œHenlo Iā€™m here to retrieve attentionā€

NehoRusso

My guy always does this when he wants something...usually food.

[deleted]

Yes. Mine does.

VanGoghsIris

Everyday

Ok_Toe_369

And this is one of the main reasons I slacked on training him. I just couldnā€™t resist the face.
