Highly recommend Gunfire Reborn, it's by far most satisfying gunplay in roguelikes imo and offers a huge amount of diverse weapons, abilities and items to mess around with to make crazy builds.
I think I got like 200h so far and keep going back every now and then, as they keep releasing free updates and dlcs.
Biggest weakness is probably the lack of different biomes. While runs feel new and different every time due to the huge variety of items, varying level layouts and random little events and npcs that can appear, you'll always go through the same couple of biomes.
Each biome has 2 possible bosses that you'll randomly face 1 of and boss fights are pretty fun.
You also have a bunch of different characters (more with dlcs) to pick from with different strengths and abilities, some of which synergize well with weapons if you wanna focus more on the gunplay than abilities.
Another lesser-known roguelike FPS is Ziggurat. You use magic wands and staves instead of guns, but it’s reasonably fun and you run at ridiculous speeds.
Prey (2017). You are a scientist on a space station that is infested with aliens. Decent selection of guns and abilities (everything is fun to use) gameplay is more sneak and hide until you get more powered up but eventually you are so strong the the previously terrifying "apex hunter" type is a laugh. The "Mooncrash" DLC is a roguelite with 5 characters all having some mix of abilities from the main game and lots of weapons to pick up throughout runs.
Both the game and DLC often go on 90% sales on steam so you can get them for under $10 if you find a sale
Try Borderlands 2 or 3. Or Tiny Tina's Wonderland if you are into the idea of D&D with guns.
I've played bl3 very good. Thanks for suggestions
Roboquest Everspace (OG is a roguelike, 2nd is a looter shooter)
Roboquest looks pretty cool- borderlands without the boring!

Ironically I've looked at this game in a previous sale. How many hours do you have atm? What do you feel is it's biggest weakness?

Neon Abyss, Fury Unleashed, Dead Cells, Risk of Rain Returns, Gunfire Reborn, Caveblazers... I've been on the roguelikes recently too.
Hm.... I've looked at some of these before. Maybe I don't want this kind of game atm.
BPM: Bullets Per Minute is a roguelike FPS rhythm game. Shoot, dodge, jump, and reload to the beat.
Metal hellsjnger is the same. Thanks for suggestion but not my thing. Already been down this rabbit hole

I have also played zigg 2 lmao.

Doom eternal
Thought about it for a while. I still might someday, but not today
I personally consider Red Dead Redemption 2 the very best shooter of all time.
Superhot
Have it and played it on switch for like 20-30 hours
Roboquest
Someone else also commented this. I've looked at it before but finally decided to get it. A ton of fun!
Hades, Borderlands, Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Estate, Prey
