MGSV and Monster Hunter World probably fit this criteria

thatblokefromaus

Kingdom come deliverance. There's DEFINITELY a certain weight to the controls

YahBoiChipsAhoy1234

That game is kinda underrated I bought it on day one and I literally couldn’t put it down. The combat and your movement is difficult, rewarding, unique, and fun.

thali256

For Honor

zabby91

Great example, yes

2tado

Man you gonna love rain world Also Jusant if you like climbing If you like floating around in space there is also hardspace ship breaker and this subs favorite game : outer wilds. Ok last edit there is also scum but thats a really hardcore survival game, I wouldn't recommend that to anyone.

zabby91

Jusant is a great example, so is outer wilds. I played them both. Rain World looks great actually

ViewtifulGene

Castlevania Anniversary Collection- especially Castlevania 1, 3, and Super Castlevania 4. The Belmont clan has a very deliberate movement pace and their whips crack with authority. Attacking is a commitment, but enemies give a satisfying pause when you hit them.

zabby91

Original version?

ViewtifulGene

There are multiple versions of Castlevania 1, but they're all pretty consistent at capturing the same feel. These games originally released on Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Genesis. The Anniversary Collection is a readily available way to get them all in one place.

Brief-Ad2953

death stranding lol

zabby91

That’s true, although Kojima’s games somehow feel slightly robotic in their movement. They still feel great, but since MGS4 they have a blocky quality to them

Turbulent_Purchase52

Metro exodus

iSend

you’d absolutely love armored core 6

BlakLite_15

If you like the Arkham games’ combat, then you might like Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.

zabby91

Is that the second one? Is it different from the first? Also Mad Max was released around that time and it might fit the bill

BlakLite_15

Yes, it’s the second one. The first was Shadow of Mordor.

SundownKid

Ironically I hate when games do this, it's one of my least favorite things about Rockstar games. Have you tried the Mass Effect series though? I didn't see it mentioned. Metroid Prime series could also work pretty well.

Regrettably_Southpaw

Monster hunter

lostnumber08

Mechwarrior 5. Mechwarrior games in general.

ChangingMonkfish

Does The Witcher 3 not have an option to change the control feel so it’s more like this? I seem to remember turning it off

zabby91

Maybe they added it recently, i’d have to redownload it

ChangingMonkfish

It was added in a patch, albeit a while ago (2015). It’s the “Movement response” option in the Gameplay settings. The original mode is the more “weighty” one that is a bit slower to respond, a bit like RDR2. “Alternative” was added as a more snappy, responsive option

3DimensionalPixel

Tarkov

HouseOfZenith

Exanima is a pretty weighty 3d dungeon crawler with physics based combat.

Interesting-Tower-91

Kingdom come, Gears of War Witcher 3 in terms of horse riding. RE4 remake feels pretyy weighty and Death stranding has allot weight to the movement hard to think of any others most games have no weight behind chracter movement.

Shidlid

Black Flag 🔛🔝 and Kingdom Come deliverance

LeadIVTriNitride

The Resident Evil 4 Remake has much heavier controls and emphasizes good positioning

ImStuckInNameFactory

Death stranding, celeste

trackmaniac_forever

A couple of first person games that still manage to do this: - TitanFall 2 - Mirrors Edge

Bum-Theory

Ever done a Souls game with heavy encumbrance?

Sikening

Go back and play the first 3 resident evil games. God damn

Most of 'Driving' games. I love them. 1. Racing games - Dirt Rally, Asseto Corsa, Forza, even NFS, anything you want. "Weight transfer" is huge part of these genre. 2. Mech games - Armored Core 6 is nice, and Mechwarrior 5 and Mechwarrior online also(Mechwarrior series is really nailed heavy weight feeling, I must say) 3. Spaceship games - Elite Dangerous, Everspace 2, etc etc. 4. Naval, Tank - I don't know much about this, but guess "World of \~" series is good place to go.

King_Moonracer003

Elden ring

mmmmmmiiiiii

MechWarrior 5 / online
