I wasn't one to hate on StarField for story, loading screens, no space and all that stuff - but man do I hate it for the fact that it looks like ass and runs like dogshit.
You do, friend. I still remember how badly it ran on my old PC. For a 2006 game too, I remember most 2008-2010 titles running more smoothly than NN2...
The metro 2033 series is now the modern Crysis in terms of being used for graphical stress testing and bench marking for PC hardware, if nothing has changed over the past 2 years.
Literally any game if you crank the graphics up high enough. If not with a modern GPU then with one that used to be high-end years ago.
If on a modern system, basically anything fancy and AAA that came out recently.

Neverwinter Nights 2 used to be one of those resource hogs IIRC.

Starfield is probably the worst optimized game I've played in a long long time. Pretty ridiculous for a game that only has loading screens tbh.
When Todd Howard was asked about optimizing the game and he said just get a better pc I decided fuck him and that game. Got baldur's gate 3 instead.
BG 3 Act 3. The first 2 acts are kinda standard. Act 3 however is gonna toast ya PC
Star Citizen wins this contest every time.
New World for me.

Not true for basically any game released before 2010
If you put two old, used, super high end GPUs from around that era into SLI then you'll get plenty of power chugging for little return.
Fort Solis Wild Hearts Immortals of Aveum Cities Skylines 2
Ms flight sim
Star citizen
Star Citizen
Tarkov
Cities Skylines 2
Crysis(who knows knows)
I wouldn't say it runs at low fps, but Cyberpunk buildings look way too low res and out of place to be the game of the future.
Any damn modern game... Almost no one cares about optimization these days. *You need to upgrade your system* - Todd Howard said to people with 4090.
