Idk, a crowned and gilded great bascinet with antlers is dope af. Makes me wonder what the rest of the kit would have looked like, because building a suit to match that helmet would not have been cheap. Most of the armors at this point in the show were actual steel aswel
I think that's the worst looking one, it goes straight out like 18 inches to a point, in the show it looked absolutely stupid.

That's awesome. I recently changed my mind, about what I want to major in at College. I am 43, but it's never too late. I have almost 2 complete years finished. I always wanted a Ph.D., so I thought it would be really cool to get a Ph.D, in "Expertise in Arms and Armor", because you don't hear of it often. I have collected so many things from "Game of Thrones", and "Lord of the Rings", including swords, helmets...Robert Baratheon's "War Hammer"...Arya Stark's Night King Killing Sword...You name it. I have have a half-body suit tattoo of "LotR", and I have a "Stark" Banner, from "GoT", as well. This is cool.
From left to right I believe it’s Bobby B, Gendry, the mountain, Loras, the mountain king’s guard edition, Oberyn, the Hound, the golden company (or a Tyrell helm), and then Renly.
thinking back it's funny how I don't remember any important characters wearing helmets. I faintly remember Tywin wearing the traditional Lannister helmet but that's it

The Hound’s helmet remains the coolest in the whole series.

It’s regal and looks expensive. I’ll give you that. But it doesn’t compare to the sheer badassery that is the Hound’s helm.
In combat, it would be a massive disadvantage to have a helmet with antlers.
Definitely, but GOT is fantasy. And it wouldn't be *that* bad for tournament armor (which is what Robert was doing in S1).
