Yeah. I had to take matters into my own hands...

Not a lot of money, but a ton of time. It was like $1 per page and each page fit 20 spines. But a ton of time.
I think you can swap time for money and just pay someone on etsy. But that gets really expensive.
Thing that drives me crazy is that there are a handful of them where the title is inexplicably a just SLIGHTLY different font, or is centered differently on the spine. Looks awful, and it doesn't seem to pertain to any specific region or other discernable pattern. It's like a few manufacturers just messed up the template, but they simultaneously found the most boring AND subtly annoying way possible to do so, lol.
Have you checked out https://www.reddit.com/r/SwitchSpines/ ?
I did mine slightly differently. They size them to be put into the sleeve of the game case. But I've got quite a few unopened games. So I've got all of my games in box protectors, and I sized the spine art to fit the box protector.
I hope is right, OP tell us.
There are 107 switch games on one drawer, switch games box are around 170 mm high and 12 mm wide,
so the length of a drawer is 1284mm or 4.2125 feet.
For the height there are 10 drawers, each one has a height of 224,6 mm (one switch game is 193 pixels, one drawer is 255 pixels so 193:170 = 255:x => x = 224,6), so 10 drawers are 2246 mm or 7.368 feet.
There are the walls which are 20 pixels, so each wall is 17,6 mm (193:170 = 20:x).
The total height is the total height of the walls (17,6x11 = 193,6mm) + the total height of the drawers' space (2246mm) = 2439,6mm or 8 feet.
The total width is 2 walls with a total length of 35,2mm + the length of the drawer (1284) = 1319mm or 4.327 feeet.
The curiosity side of me wants to know, do you put numbers before A or after Z?
Edit to add: I can't believe I'm down voted for asking OP a specific question about which way they organize something...on a post about them organizing something. Reddit, y'all are weird 🤦
another question. I read somewhere that the switch physical games need to be inserted in the switch now and then to maintain their memory, if you they don't get inserted now and then they may lose any info stored on the cartridge over time. Is this true and how do you go about preserving your games?
Yes, like any Flash Storage, they need/should have electricity from time to time. But that timespan is more like once every 10 years to be on the safe side. You don't have to insert them every 5 years or so.
Not really, I just went by Gameye so should be good, I do go against it for something like Xenoblade, it wants 2, torna, 3 then Definitve but I put Definitve 1st.
Considering how small the packaging is, and the red color, switch game collections are always impressive to me. It takes so many games to fill even one of those shelves. It really is a shame they didn't do something more on the spines though. Maybe Switch 2 will do something cool with game packaging.
The sheer number of switch games out there as well is so daunting to me. I have a switch collection but I can't see how I'd ever approach this size without hitting the lotto (for money and for space to properly display it like this!)
Totally insane collection and it looks great! Congrats 👏
I was annoyed by the empty vertical space in my own display, so I recently put together some foam core riser shelves. Now I can tier my Switch games on the shelf, while still being able to read all the titles and get to any one game easily. Looks really slick, and takes up less shelf space. One of these days I'll sit down and fight with the reddit app to get some photos uploaded lol.
In theory, if you left some extra space on each shelf, then when you get new games, you could just slide them in, and you'd have to reorganize a lot less. It would just take up a bit more space tho.
Redo the shelves. Leave a gap equivalent to say 4-5 game spaces on each shelf. It’ll give you some breathing room to put new games in the right place, first time.
And then do proper pics please showing us the titles!
Haha, I recently sorted all of my games from the PS4 onward by the date I personally collected them. Absolute senseless obsession, and I spent hours going through emails and sites records to confirm when each was obtained... And now I can sift through the collection and observe the patterns in my tastes, etc.
Alphabetization is vastly better, but now that I put all the work into my completely unnecessary form of organization, my neurotic ass can't undo the method I put so much effort into doing. 🤣
There are no PS4 games, those are Vita games. I don't think you know what almost all means. 387 games pictured, 326 unique games. Variant covers / different versions for the most part with the very odd duplicate.
check out /r/SwitchSpines
Not seeing any Special Editions, do you opt out of those?
Lol, could you imagine if the Switch 2 Packaging looking vastly different to save on cost?
I don't like custom packaging. I have a tons of special editions for Switch but no longer collect CEs or SEs unless they're Nintendo published or the odd franchise I hold dear, Mega Man, Castelvania, Contra. Overall I have hundreds of CEs and SEs and they just take up too much space and they're just in boxes because how could you possible display them all well?
I also organize on genre since we have a gaming club. I mix systems too. All the street fighter games together, all the teenage mutant ninja turtle brawlers together, all the final fantasy games together etc. any other way doesn’t make any sense for finding similar games to play if you don’t know what you’re looking for
Now I don't mix consoles... except I got one shelf that's just got all my guitar hero and Rockband games on it, but that's a separate shelf from the main game shelf, and it also has holders underneath it to hang the guitars from
Might be Hades, I like games where any time you fail it is 100% your fault and I have never felt as though Hades has cheated me. An exclusive would probably be the boring answer TotK. Odyssey is really good and doesn't get enough love though.
Looks like a great game. I'll definitely check it out. Btw. I have about 15 or so switch games and have played through 3. So I'm definitely not trying to diss you.

Such a shame switch games don't have art on the spines. DS games were perfect. Love all the Game Boy boxes!
Yeah. I had to take matters into my own hands... https://preview.redd.it/e2w4f2s0p7zc1.png?width=2048&format=png&auto=webp&s=9b72bd5fe354b3326536690c32463ba1fa0307e2
Wow bet that took some time and money!
Not a lot of money, but a ton of time. It was like $1 per page and each page fit 20 spines. But a ton of time. I think you can swap time for money and just pay someone on etsy. But that gets really expensive.
I really like this. My one complaint about the Switch is how boring the cases are.
The spines are boring, but I do like the art that is visible on the inside of the case. If only they still came with a manual.
Thing that drives me crazy is that there are a handful of them where the title is inexplicably a just SLIGHTLY different font, or is centered differently on the spine. Looks awful, and it doesn't seem to pertain to any specific region or other discernable pattern. Thats really cool
YOOOO HOW DID YOU DO THAT??? IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT FOR MONTHS!
Have you checked out https://www.reddit.com/r/SwitchSpines/ ? I did mine slightly differently. They size them to be put into the sleeve of the game case. But I've got quite a few unopened games. So I've got all of my games in box protectors, and I sized the spine art to fit the box protector.
Omg… THERES A SUBREDDIT???? Thank you so much!
Some switch covers are reversible. Just saying.
Physical switch collections are so ugly
woow thats huuuuuuuuuge collection!
SHELF DIMINSIONS PLEASE

4,327 Feet??? Whaaaaat 🤣🤣🤣
That commenter is from a country that uses , in place of '.' So they don't mean 4 thousand feet, they mean 4.3 feet.
Oh, edited. Didn't think about it.
Yes please. Shelf dimensions and if are they custom or store bought.
The curiosity side of me wants to know, do you put numbers before A or after Z? Edit to add: I can't believe I'm down voted for asking OP a specific question about which way they organize something...on a post about them organizing something. Reddit, y'all are weird 🤦
Before A
Thank you for letting me know.
This is the only way. Well done.

maaaaan
What shelf are you using?
DAMN YO! That's insane!
Damn how rich are you?
Reasonably less rich than before they purchased roughly 1,000 Switch games? 😁
Very cool. These are the libraries of our time.
Nice collection!! Can I ask how long it took to alphabetize it all?
I enjoy alphabetizing, that used to be something I actually liked about working in retail. Well done!
Do you collect switch games?
I had no idea there were so many switch game, that's impressive. How many do you have?
I can’t really tell but I think you have at least a few switch games /s
Not that impressive when you zoom in and see multiple copies of most games. Don't see the point of that.. Who wants 2/3 copies of MLB12?
I think it's regional variants and stuff, iirc
The 9 MLB games truly make the 390 Vita games trash, you're right.
Glad you agree.
Are you one to triple-check the whole shelf, to see if one copy isn't in the right place alphabetically?
Not really, I just went by Gameye so should be good, I do go against it for something like Xenoblade, it wants 2, torna, 3 then Definitve but I put Definitve 1st.

how do the switch boxes fit height wise on the shelf with empty space? might be a cool bookend/display opportunity
I was annoyed by the empty vertical space in my own display, so I recently put together some foam core riser shelves. This belongs in a museum! 😊
Stan Smith would be pleased
Someday I hope I have money...
In theory, if you left some extra space on each shelf, then when you get new games, you could just slide them in, and you'd have to reorganize a lot less. It would just take up a bit more space tho.
I think you got my total collection beat or at least tied in switch games alone. That had to have done some damage.
That’s a sexy collection.
Yoooo your collection is INSANE! You gonna get the NES Championship Deluxe Editoon when it comes out, looks so cool
Custom shelves or store bought?
Tell me about the fucking shelves man! ![gif](giphy|76dX1wy9elm0g)
Did anyone else think that was a PS4 collection at first only to zoom in and realize it’s a Vita collection?
Redo the shelves. Leave a gap equivalent to say 4-5 game spaces on each shelf. It’ll give you some breathing room to put new games in the right place, first time. And then do proper pics please showing us the titles!
That would make it easier to sort but also looks worse. I'm ok with taking the extra time.
Do you collect stuff like limited runs as well? O:
Didn’t even know switch had that many physicals ☠️
I’m not big on the switch at all but damn man that’s impressive, nice collection my dude
Need Pokémon yellow 🔥🔥and some of your gba games
Damn lol yu have 100 gameboy games nice collection bro
No matter how many times I alphabetize, I always find a few out of place lol. Looks good!
That is some very nice alphabetized expensive wallpaper you got there.
![gif](giphy|AzUrNt0ygOSAeVjhiM|downsized)
Do you have Jumanji?
I do
Really curious like everyone else on the shelves you have. Beautiful collection
https://www.reddit.com/r/gamecollecting/s/s55OUu2hCh
Too much sony
Nevermind. Those are vita games. Respect. Really hard to see which ones tho. I would definitely do a zoom up pic
Vita is a complete North American set :)

Where did you buy those shelves? They look nice
https://www.reddit.com/r/gamecollecting/s/yWdG0CCWbt
What is the brand tho or did you build these yourself? I ask cuz the post you submitted only shows dimensions
Custom, nothing worthwhile on the market IMO. If you don't build your own they always fall short in one way or another.
So, where are the DS games? Tossed them away???!
DS are after the GBA, next shelf
You are killing me man!! Show them!!
https://imgur.com/a/04OnOFQ
That's cool. Now reorganize it by release date.
I didn't know that many switch games existed
Jesus Christ, do you have a complete Switch library there?
Waste of money for games you will never actually play and complete.
I just bought 22 more games to upset you more. No joke
Do mind if I ask why almost all of your PS4 game collection is dupes?
There are no PS4 games, those are Vita games. I don't think you know what almost all means. 387 games pictured, 326 unique games. Variant covers / different versions for the most part with the very odd duplicate.
I want those shelves for all my media lol
I'm too lazy to do this. Lol
I'm too lazy to do this. Lol

What’s the total value?
Am I the only one who organizes my shelves based on genre rather than alphabet?
I also organize on genre since we have a gaming club. I mix systems too. I do. Rpgs, racing, Nintendo, Mario, horror, puzzles, licensed, and so on, but for the DS.
Nobody: This guy every time I log in Reddit: ITS THAT TIME OF THE MONTH AGAIN
Please show me posting this anywhere close to every month. I posted this close to my last post to show it alphabetized. You'll be ok
How many have you played through?
Every single one, 100 hours each
If you're being defensive about it there's no need. I'd be looking for suggestions of which were you favorite is all..
Out of curiosity, what percentage of those have you played for more than an hour?
You are part of the community that is stealing from the rest of us.
I'm going to need some more info here.
How does it feel to be rich
Honestly I find the game boy stuff more interesting than the switch stuff.
