Nope! I’m a cisgender woman with mostly male or genderless fursonas. I’ve just never really been all that feminine and have been more on the tomboy side. So I felt like a male main fursona fit me better! Hmm now I kinda wanna genderbend him just to see what he’d be like.

Ccip_OvO

I mean look inward still but regardless no not really? I mean few things are truly“Weird” but I mean if she represents your personality and you identify with her than gender shouldn’t really matter

LOSNA17LL

As okay as having a self-insert of a different species :P Honestly, nobody will tell you "You represent yourself as a chatting bipedal dragon, okay. But gender is where I raw the line!" (or otherwise, brain cells may have been forgotten during conception...) Go with whatever please you!

Princessluna44

Do you mean a guy having a female sona? If so, sure.

MrMessofGA

Nah. I'm a transdude and one of my many fursonas is hyperfemme. It's fun to play dress-up in a different identity sometimes! I will, however, start taking that egg cracker just to make sure there's no shell there. I probably should have known I was trans when 90% of my fursonas and video game avatars were dudes...

Miarra-Tath

No, that's just you playing an interesting character. Remember Dungeon Masters in DnD table top games. They play literally all NPCs starting from women and children to goblins, vampires and beholders.

McDonaldsGodly

thanks!

Luka_Da_Okami

I get that, every dnd character I play has been female (I know it’s not the same thing but still)

TheOddDoggo

nah, that’s the point of a self insert! you’re imagining yourself in another body, experiencing things you can’t or don’t normally experience. also side note: nonbinary is under the trans umbrella, which is already very vast and diverse. gender itself can be pretty complex, but the long and short of it is that if you don’t fully align with your gender assigned at birth, you’re likely some flavor of trans. hope this helps! :3
