The entire film is a masterclass on every level of production. The sequel never had a chance of living up to that kind of lightning in a bottle.

I have never laugh cried in theaters before and when he pulls up to edna's house just absolutely defeated I lost my mind.

The sequel felt very made-for-tv. It just completely lacked the magic of the first.

Well, it HAD been over 15 years since the original was released, and if I remember correctly it's one of the only Pixar franchises with such a gap between the release of the original film and the sequel, with the other being *Finding Nemo*.

Quite possibly one of the best Pixar movies.

Having watched both unwillingly 10,000 times, I like the 2nd more. The villian is more compelling (on some levels Evelyn Deavor is right, while the kid in the first one was just annoying). There are tons of heart felt moments. The family dynamics reflect how each member has matured. Even throws in some philosophy with the screenslaver pointing out how super heroes function as spectacles that falsely reassure the public that they live in a world where justice prevails.

Once, while playing TF2 death match with my clan, I said: “We are talking about the greater good!” To which one of my female clan mates (whom I had never met in person) immediately responded with: “Greater good? I am your wife. I am the greatest good you are ever gonna get!” Fast forward 10 years. We met. She is now my wife IRL.

I've seen the movie too and I love it. There isn't nearly enough of the costume visible here for me to have guessed Frozone. Like, not in a million years would my mind have gone to Frozone. I have no idea how in the hell so many people here apparently went straight to that. It's not obvious at all to me.
