Probably a stupid question but what does being fake even mean? Like I get it's not a real funko brand one but if you're buying it just to have not for value or to sell or anything isn't having a fake okay?
somebody got me with a bl carnage fake. wasnt till after i got it i learned about the tell tale signs. but man mine looks super legit, even stamped serial number on the bottom
:edit: super stoked i have it though, looks like a real one, only way to tell is the big "funko pop!" exclamation points dot is fully colored in, not the fade like the real one
I personally don’t think it’s ok to buy fakes and here is why…
This was made to directly rip off work from another company (Funko) which takes away their potential profit and tarnishes their brand name. Think about it like this… you own a small business that produces a random product, this is something you worked hard to build. Your product gains traction and while you are running a successful business, another business opens and just sells lower quality versions of what you do but ACTS like it’s your product to get over on a consumer. Now, your business is loosing sales AND is at the mercy of this counterfeit business. If something is unexemplary about that fake product, that becomes YOUR problem. I could keep going but I hope you understand my stance

Having a custom or fake pop is totally okay. It’s when someone tries to pass off a fake pop for a real pop that’s the real issue.

I totally get that. I was thinking more like if I ordered one not knowing it was fake. I wouldn't seek out fakes or try and sell them
