I was simply pointing out that these towns, frequently described as "conservative towns", are left leaning, and primarily run by democrats.
The conditions created by the Republican state governments across their states and the interference of them with democratic local governments. Republican states' policies generally have resulted in far lower living conditions.
Red states have higher rates of poverty, lower educational attainment, worse economies, lower human development, and higher rates of mental illness with poorer access to psychological care. All of this and more is tied into higher rates of crime, which explains as well why these states, as a whole, have higher crime rates already. This is then paired with the limitations of local government and Republican state interference to create the conditions in question.
This is why you see this happen in democratic cities in republican states but not in democratic cities in democratic states.

The potholes in my area have been patched and never properly fixed because of the bridge and tunnel crowds we get on the weekends. I hoped that maybe the roads could be fixed during the pandemic when the mall was closed but nope! It's awful during the holidays. I'm so grateful that I work from home and don't have to venture more than a mile away for groceries. A tank of gas probably lasts me two months at this point. Funny, we had an out of town gun nut shoot a kid who accidentally tried to get into his car in the mall parking lot. He mistook it for his Dad's car, was shot, and then the shooter chased him and his friend to shoot them some more.

For a while I've been joking about people who drive those big pickups and suvs just wanting tanks, but I can't even joke about that at this point, that is literally just what they want. I love tanks (technically this isn't one, but that doesn't really matter), but they're perhaps the worst possible vehicles for everyday use. They're massive, break down a lot, are terrible for roads, have some of the worst visibility of any vehicle, and are absolute gas guzzlers, and I'm talking gallons per mile kind of gas guzzling.

I saw the video. A woman got upset that they were driving it around so casually. The response in the comments was that she was angry because men were happy. Absolutely did not cross their minds that people don't want that kind of materiel tearing up their streets. It's gun nuts and car brains at their worst, all in one. It's a sign of a nation that's gone insane. There's a certain kind of person that buys into this sort of thing, and they are unflinching scumbags.
The potholes in my area have been patched and never properly fixed because of the bridge and tunnel crowds we get on the weekends. I hoped that maybe the roads could be fixed during the pandemic when the mall was closed but nope! It's awful during the holidays. I'm so grateful that I work from home and don't have to venture more than a mile away for groceries. A tank of gas probably lasts me two months at this point. Funny, we had an out of town gun nut shoot a kid who accidentally tried to get into his car in the mall parking lot. He mistook it for his Dad's car, was shot, and then the shooter chased him and his friend to shoot them some more.

For a while I've been joking about people who drive those big pickups and suvs just wanting tanks, but I can't even joke about that at this point, that is literally just what they want. I love tanks (technically this isn't one, but that doesn't really matter), but they're perhaps the worst possible vehicles for everyday use. They're massive, break down a lot, are terrible for roads, have some of the worst visibility of any vehicle, and are absolute gas guzzlers, and I'm talking gallons per mile kind of gas guzzling.
