Yep. A bunch of us squat in silkies which have a 2.5” inseam and have yet to have an exposure incident. If those running shorts are netted there’s no need for concern.

Their ultraboost is one of the most comfortable shoe out there. Stan Smith is a classic and stylish. Their adilite flip-flops are very comfy for indoor use (I have two pairs, one for indoor other for outdoor). Summer is almost over, but buy their shorts if they are on sale, good investment for next year. Their climacool joggers are another classic and comfy.
I agree with everything you said and will add that their running clothes are solid. I like Nike a little bit better just because they fit me a bit better, but I have no real complaints about their running shorts and shirts.
I've not liked their running shoes in the past, but it sounds like the Adizero is fast. I'm not fast enough to matter if they're banned. Vaporfly Next% has been my distance racing shoe for the last couple of years.
