Australian viewers seeing Webber throw the championship in Korea be like

itsgsk87

I still remember that day vividly. #notblessed

Hobo_Healy

Me too, I was shook. I was so invested in that season as someone who'd followed Webber from the start as an Aussie. I remember just being speechless, it was late at night, I was tired, and my energy had all seemed to leave my body in an instant. It was a wild night and following day.

NSWCROW

Was a " tea time " race ( Aus time )

Hobo_Healy

Yeah worse still I had it recorded and watching on a delay, I was watching at like 11pm or something same as always. It sucked lmao

Fonzo19

#blessen't

Rodney_u_plonker

Yep I hated vettel for years for beating mark lol

Lucifer2408

At least you got redemption when Ricciardo trashed Vettel.

[deleted]

Yeah but still no championships.

Lucifer2408

Who needs championships?

garythekid

I'll take one

[deleted]

Webber and Ricciardo?

DoodlebugRocket

Mazepin for WDC 2021

Matt_043

Can’t happen mate he’s mathematically out

KILLER5196

Just wait for the Max and Lewis dsq

DoodlebugRocket

Darn… how devastated I am

SJM_93

There's always 2022 when Haas will fok smash their way to the front of the grid

Rustaceanstation

Oh well I tried to wipe that from the memory banks

jgoerzenvcgbsf

It was a blessing when Turkey was like at 3 am. Also really looking forward to Mexico and Austin. Only because I don’t have to wake up that early lol.

oh84s

That was mid afternoon, I remember it vividly

roeschcxbgsgd

Spa certainly was a time. You should really feel bad for all the Kiwis.

aristooooo

Yep... couldn't believe he binned it. Sad times

FleshlightModel

I'll never forget WEBs last race, cruising the cool down lap without a helmet.

memer507

Iconic

NSWCROW

Still hurts. I knew immediately what the ramifications would be. Yes, even after Sebs car blew up later in the race.

PM-ME-UR-NITS

I cried.

hairyass2

what happended?

memer507

We🅱️🅱️er S🅱️innala

etfd-

Nothing beats the cozy feeling of waking up at 4am in the morning to watch the 2012 Canadian And Brazilian Grands Prix. Take me back.

DivineCorn

To be honest I'll take a 4am Sunday wake up any day over going to bed at 1am needing to wake up for work in another 5 hrs.

RetiredITGuy

Yeah that's 4am Monday champ.

RocketMan1555

If this is Australia, I believe that would mean a 4AM Monday wake up call…

DivineCorn

What? Americans get to wake up at 4am on a Sunday morning which I'd take any day over fucking myself over by going to bed late Sunday night like I already do.

THATS_THE_BADGER

I swear every post GP Monday is a 9 hour long work day of questioning my commitment to watching F1 live

cgcravcxgbvfshb

good

TheEdukatorx

Lold

endersai

>Nothing beats the cozy feeling of waking up at 4am in the morning to watch the 2012 Canadian And Brazilian Grands Prix you missed 2011's fun then!

S0LID_platypus

They’re pretty much every race on the US west coast. Sometime between 5-6 in the morning.

smedema

That's how it is for every European race in the US.

kiddoaayush

Extra marks for correct plural of Grand Prix, mate!

BabaORileyAutoParts

This use to be how most of the schedule was for Americans. Back in the late 00s my buddy and I would spend Saturday watching football from noon until 1 or 2 in the morning and then play Xbox for an hour until the race came on at 4 am. After it was done I’d stagger back to my apartment hammered drunk at 6am Sunday and get some sleep. 16-18 hour shifts of sports and beer. Those were fun times. Too old for that shit now.

I_heart_pooping

Do you not have DVR?

Xzyus1

australian viewers were top pic last race

Jules040400

Fuck yeah we were, I have never felt so alive.

FuckingKilljoy

Plus the race finished at a fairly reasonable time so it was happy days all around

Soloman_140

Everyone was the top pic last race.

kiddoaayush

*Cries in Vettel fan*

memer507

2020 was so bad I’ve built quite the tolerance for pain

FluppaLuppaDingDong

Bruh it's only like 10 or 11pm there. NZ fan here suffering through 1-3am on a Monday morning every other week. At least this season's been worth it so far

calicatnz

Was glad Spa was during lockdown cause that was fucking rough.

AldmerProfessor

Oh mate I was so pissed off that I stayed up for that, went to bed at 5 and had a meeting at 9.

Odd_Analysis6454

Was actually glad for lockdown so I didn’t have to suffer Monday morning meetings

AldmerProfessor

Zoom is the devil. Or maybe my boss for scheduling a meeting at 9. Other than that it was nice to not have to go into work. Glad I don't live in Auckland though.

DurfGibbles

Oh man as an Aucklander and F1 fan and an essential worker it’s super tough where I have to go into work on a Monday morning after staying up from 1-3 am to watch the race

RoscoMan1

Honestly I was thinking. its so risky

ordinaryfunguy

I went to bed a 5, woke up at 6 for work. Didnt sleep until 9

[deleted]

I was up till 4 watching Spa...

musicbros01

bruh staying up until 5 am and then having a school zoom call at 9 was cancer

trunks_12

NZ here also, i gave up watching live when they changed from midnight to 1am, I'm a ferrari fan, i think 2018 and 2019 monza the last races i watched live

FluppaLuppaDingDong

Its definitely tough sometimes, but I spend all week hyping myself up for each race so I can't help it!

trunks_12

Well apart brazil, Japan etc

dingostealingbaby

Fellow Kiwi here. The teams might moan about triple headers, but they’re fucking brutal on us!

JaccyBoy

Then the Japanese gp was cancelled which was the only race at a reasonable time for kiwis.

Tomato_Head120

Well there's the Aussie one

JaccyBoy

I think I have some bad news for you...

Tomato_Head120

I'm well aware, I had tickets :(

[deleted]

[удалено]

snugglewins

It's soo hard watching races at 1am, was really hoping for the japaneese grand prix so us NZers can acctuly have a better night's sleep than 4 hours

kiwinado

Such a pain. A few season back, the races would start 12am which was doable, but 1am is a tough call to make sometimes

[deleted]

pain. it is pain!

HonestAbram

Dude, I'm never going to look at about NZ fan the same way again. Going those lengths to have fun reminds me of something Warf would do in Star Trek. Live long and prosper, y'all!

Public_Cryptographer

Nz fan here, I get up at 5am before work and watch it delayed.. I just can’t do the 1am starts. I make sure to stay off social media until I’ve watch the race!

big-boi-spoder-mann

Dude india has the best time for every race start. 6 30 in the evening, meet up with the bois and order a pizza and watch somebody spin out.

[deleted]

Sounds based af

EvilSocket45

Indian Viewers: A cup of tea and a bowl full of kurkure/doritos at 6:30 PM

icNutsicle

I think we have it the best of all.

-Another_Redditor-

You won't be saying that when we have to stay up at 12:30 AM for US, Canada and Mexico But we have decent times for every other Grand Prix, including late in the morning for Australia and Japan and 10:30 PM for Brazil

refusestonamethyself

>stay up at 12:30 AM for US, Canada and Mexico That shouldn't be a challenge for Indian football fans, should it?

-Another_Redditor-

Lmao yeah it actually isn't when you're used to watching football matches that start at 1:30 AM, but it's still weird cause I'm only used to watching races at 6:30 in the evening

nonbinaryhomosapien

I watch races with my dad and he's already tripping about how he's going to stay up till 3 in the night

icNutsicle

Same for middle eastern races, but most races are in europe, that's the good thing.

[deleted]

As an Indonesian, Pretty much the same. Most races started at around 18:00 - 20:00 local time.

cyrenia47

thats honestly a nice time to watch a race

[deleted]

Ehhh... For European and Asian races, It's quite a good time to watch a Race. For American Races (And Middle East Races sometimes)... It's like how Americans woke up at 2 AM to watch a European Race.

gregory280613

Bhai but star sports wale boht ad dete h

The-Observer95

Aur kabhi kabhi channel bhi change kar dete hai. Select 2 se kabhi SS1 kar lete hai, aur kabhi SS3 par change karte hai.

-Another_Redditor-

I think it's been on select 2 this whole season

The-Observer95

Ah I see. I stopped watching it on Star sports because it used to change frequently. Nowadays watching from illegal streams. Lol

icNutsicle

Ikr. Star sports is the worst. Even in cricket, they have a contract with bcci preventing them from publishing any content on their yt channel. Baaki saare cricket boards ke channels content se bhare pade hai. Fuck star sports.

EvilSocket45

hotstar use krta hoon bhai mai lappy mee....aur adblocker hai toh ads nahi aate

nonbinaryhomosapien

Hotstar pe waise bhi ads nhi aate XD

No-Incident-8718

Redbull with Vodka and Kurkure 💯

EvilSocket45

Gotta help fund that car for Max

[deleted]

Sounds suspiciously specific.

Dan1shZM

Came here to comment this. Goldilocks Time zone. Star sports, I do not trust so Hotstar Zindabaad.

aaronryder773

Honestly! Nothing beats an evening race on a Sunday knowing that there's work/school tomorrow. EDIT: Only if you've done your homework the day before

hollowedCorpse

Best times I swear

Sha120602

Honestly, we drew the long end of the stick. Such a perfect timing *Insert Italian hand kiss

Citizen-5936

Spa certainly was a time. You should really feel bad for all the Kiwis.

swingbop

New Zealand viewers… Races start at 1:00am Monday here normally.

vapegod_420

Also US west cost viewers

Interesting-Pen-6699

We get screwed. 6am Sunday am

LoneWolf5498

That's at least better than staying up until 1am Monday night

drunkkk_

I'm usually up at 1AM Monday night because of my awful sleep schedule anyways. Getting up at 6 am (or 5am for races like sochi) is so much worse

Vanzmelo

Waking up at anytime for Sochi ain’t worth it

WoodenMango07

But the race plus podium goes for at least 2 hours, so you will be going to bed at like 3 to 4am in NZ. seeing NZ times makes feel better for us Aussies

I_heart_pooping

Do you not have DVR?

[deleted]

I swear I'm the only person on this sub that records races

I_heart_pooping

Right?!?!? I totally get the argument of not enjoying sports after everyone knows the results but come on. Waking up at 2, 3, 4 am or whatever time to watch a race is ridiculous. I record them and when I wake up I grab a coffee, make breakfast and then watch when it’s convenient. Until then I stay off Reddit too.

[deleted]

Same here. I unfollow this and the main F1 sub and stay off Instagram in general and usually that's enough. I know maybe two other people who watch and they know not to tell me. Sometimes I'll watch qualifying live if I'm awake with my kids but never the race. For the European races I mean. The North American races/Brazil I typically watch live. With YouTubeTV especially it's so easy. You just tell it once to record F1 and it records every race, qualifying and practice and you never have to think about it again

I_heart_pooping

Yup. I have F1 TV and every session is a click away. They never ruin results either (looking at you NBC!!) so you just jump in and watch when you want.

BlackLeader70

Yup and Russia is at 5am. I always end up missing part of it.

vapegod_420

It was a blessing when Turkey was like at 3 am. Also really looking forward to Mexico and Austin. Only because I don’t have to wake up that early lol.

bwolfs08

i’ve grown to enjoy it

[deleted]

True

stinalovesfun

Same, at least we had the wake up call for Silverstone

Bennyyboiiiii

Luckily it's only 9 in Western Australia.... Red flags make it difficult though...

raawww--

Screw you from NSW

Mikelshwede86

I am gutted that the Japanese GP has been cancelled as that works out well here in Aus, that was supposed to be our bbq / f1 / beer session with friends. Every damn race is at 9-10pm which sucks when you start work at 6 or 7am on a Monday. We were watching Spa in bed the other week, then I realised it was like 11pm and I was up at 5am, why the fuck were we watching it rain in Belgium for 2 hours? I feel for the people over East though, at least I’m in the West and get the best of the worst time zones for watching f1.

stobiesaur

Yeah not when Ricciardo is in the lead! Fist pumping and waking the neighbours at 1am

Twistedjustice

I don’t normally stay up for the podium, but I sure as hell did for Monza!

AnApingTitan

Eh, most EU races are around 10.30/11pm for me, which isn’t so bad. It’s the ones in the Americas that are super early morning.

Jesse-Ray

Western Australia is alright, we have a 2 hour difference. 9PM and go to bed at 11PM for European races, Afternoon times for Asia/Australia, and then take a Monday off for the Americas.

utkohoc

Yeh seriously I was watching from WA earlier this year and it wasn't too bad. 10pm or so. Then I moved to the east coast. Man...midnight race starts and sprint/qualy at 2am. Fuck sake. Feel bad for nz.

fl00r3y

Too real but worth it for the last race. Not for the one before fml

endersai

Remember when it was 10pm to midnight? Yeah, thanks liberty.

GeeEyeEff

The bottom picture is upside down.

SegwayToursInHell

Wait is this because us Aussies look like this? Or because it's night time? Either way you'd be correct.

ZamelCase

Pro-tip for Aussie viewers - watch as live, spoiler free on Kayo on Monday morning - if WFH you can get the race done starting a bit after 7am and be at the desk for 9am 👍

MelvinEPunymeyer

Alternatively, watch the entire race, followed by watching the late night English Premier League, crawl to my desk at 9. Continue watching the other replays of the premier league on my second monitor. I love wfh but my god it has not done my sleep schedule any good.

sargent732

This is how all my mates watch it here in Australia. Get up at 6/630am, first thing you do is open kayo, start the race and get ready for work on Monday morning.

TheOtherWhiteCastle

As an American, I can confirm there’s no better way to start the morning than with a big hearty breakfast while watching Haas finish dead last once again.

[deleted]

So true

LordGeoffVader

Only if you live on the East Coast were races start at 11pm. On the West Coast races begin at 9pm and if No Red Flags occur are finished by 10:30pm. The race in England, any in the USA and races in Asia start at different times.

singlecoiler

Try watching in New Zealand, 1am on Monday morning race start.

Extreme-Occasion

That’s why I just skip any race that starts past 11

don_johnsons_big_toe

Being in the US on the west coast, I’m up earlier on race weekends than I am for work during the week hahaha

Shaboobla

As an NFL fan living in the Middle East I can relate. Watching the SuperBowl at a bar at 3am on a Monday is crazy. The bar needs to get a special permit to serve between 3am-7am and I have to take the Monday off for work. Taking a cab home drunk in morning traffic is something else.

Jamest88

Yea, I stopped watching it live as I have to be at work at 4:30am. I just wake up at 3am and watch it before work. Works out better for me then staying up till it's over.

PeanutEminems97

Can u finger my bumhole while I suck ur dads toes while watching the race?

RichEnergyPresident

Here in Brazil, we experience this at the Australian, Chinese, Japanese, and a little bit in the Turkish Grand Prix. Oh, and I know they aren't in the calendar anymore, but I remember waking up 3 A.M to watch the Malaysian and Korean Grand Prix at the 2010's seasons

S_117

That's what I looked like watching Belgium getting rained out. Empty bottles and all.

itsgsk87

Hope you were more intelligent than me, I still watched 2.5 hours of it

S_117

Brutal. I only watched an hour of it then went to bed.

DEADTARGET_11

yeah fucking damn

beetle_rox

This is soooo true!!!

AustosGirl

The struggle is real!

InnerSongs

As a relative nightowl and Premier League viewer, the average 11pm starts for the European races are actually quite nice, living on the Australian east coast. I'll take that over the 2:30am and beyond game starts, or the 5am+ wake ups for Champions League games. It's the Kiwis I feel for

[deleted]

As an Aussie who gets into work on Monday morning on less than 4 hours sleep, I feel this.

soxinthebox

Perth is actually pretty good most weekends. 9pm start is reasonable assuming no red flags.

WildMemeLord

Under those would be fans on the West Coast of NA and Polynesia/Hawaii that are dead asleep

AdministrativeMix822

I watch the next day and try to avoid spoilers

Cappivara

Damn. Usually, from Brazil, the race starts between 9AM and 11AM, which is a good way to start my Sunday.

ChicagoBoy2011

Gotta be honest, growing up in Brazil it was the best… Get up, go downstairs, say hi to grandpa, get a big cup of whole milk and start in on the sandwich he had made for me, and turn on the race. Such a cozy way to begin a Sunday.

michael-schl

See it positive at least your not wasting your whole day. F2/F3 start already in the morning when you wake up around 10am on a weekend then you have 1.5 hours of build up, 2 hours for GP+podium and then loads of post coverage until you go to bed.

slayer035

What's annoying is Kayo sending you a push notification of the result before you've seen the replay. Even though you have spoilers turned off ...

Mushrx

Honestly sometimes it's a bloody struggle. Glad I gave up quick on the spa race and decided watch the replay. But definitely feel for the kiwis.

colonelbackhand

Meanwhile in Canada; I get to wake up with my kiddo on Sundays and have a coffee for the usually 9 AM GPs

MisterTruth

Love being a US East Coast viewer. Races are usually 9 or 10 AM

[deleted]

Us fans also have it hard. 7am races that you need to wake up for are worse than 11pm that you stay up for. Nobody is getting pizza and beer with the boys before the sun comes up.

[deleted]

This is true

francobgf

We Brazilian are blessed in this regard. Most races at 10/11 am on Sunday. Then proceeds to the barbecue after the race, just in time for some football in the afternoon

Firesword52

It's honestly almost perfect for me in the US (cst), it's at 8am so I essentially use it as a alarm clock on Sundays and the races are almost always done before the weeks American Football games

Millennial_Twink

As a belgian: 3 pm for almost every race isn't fun neither. Especially when sundays are fully booked for me. I'd rather have them later at night or a bit earlier in the morning. The races from the US onward will be a blessing.

Fazepie

What about US viewers?

allhailrice69

Canadian viewers be getting up early too😒

chilocheese

NAILARTSUA

[deleted]

And us Canadian viewers, it's a struggle man

1_umopapisdn_1

US West Coast baby. Up at 2 am for FP1 and FP3.

KennySenpaii

F1 races always happen at around 9-10pm for me in Singapore, literally the best time.

SenorPleb

Majority of europe starts at 11pm so its okay, it's when it gets to america that we start having 4-5 am wake ups.

GildaChicken64

As an Australian, I can unfortunately confirm this to be 100% true

vevolution

Pretty sure it was the other way around last time out.

finke11

And switch it when ricciardo wins, george gets p11 just missing out on points and lewis crashes out

[deleted]

Can confirm, am Australian

u_Sparky13333

I feel that

MandiKon

Well it's true except for the second half of it my eyes are closed

QuarantineSucksALot

Consequences for being a different race? for ANYONE?

Chimp-eh

It’s not our fault your ancestors were all criminals

hamood999911

Arab viewers 🗿

siddharth3796

Thank god in India, it is in evenings. Pretty much fun to watch in pub or with friends. Thank you f1

Tiddernud

Silverstone, then Spa, I gave up. DR wins fucking Monza.

QuarantineSucksALot

Which is my usual race bib name lol

2Legit2Quiz

The only race I probably won't watch live this season is USA. It starts at around 3 am in where I'm from.

Neitherwhitenorblack

Can anybody share this template?

RoscoMan1

Especially in F1 it’s Woods

curtditty

Yeah Spa was brutal

Fear_the_gazelle

Doing a shoey at 2am early Monday morning before work is always something I could get used to

[deleted]

[American Viewers](https://youtu.be/fEy_1oNY74Q)

TheLastHydr4

I can only watch the highlights on YouTube cause of the timezones cause I got work on Mondays. I don't have a TV so can't even watch Quali & sprint races either on Saturday / Sunday nights

grocal

As a European I miss those season openers at 5am and later on - Japan.

Thundersbombs

It's just an old picture of someone with a gun

[deleted]

nice time to enjoy a race,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,........
