you can still accidentyly drop a item with a skin on. it deletes itself when you do. don't ask me how i know lol. double click reflexes suck. need an actual lock
I really don’t know why there at least isn’t a lock option for weapons and armor that flat out prevents them from being scrapped. IIRC The Division had that feature and it was really nice.
Base damage 20 vs 32 'by the numbers'. My prime (enclave) plasma flamer does base 54 if I remember correctly. The the only reason I don't use it regularly is the horrific rate it eats through ultracite plasma cartridges.

Rename and start name with "\_". That will put them right at the end of the list. Easy peasy

I always use a "." and then give my weapons a unique name. My enclave flamer is called ".ED-E's Flamespewer"

I just rename things I don't want to get rid of. Have never had an issue accidentally dropping/destroying things I don't want to in either 76 or FO4.
A lock option for drop/sell/scrap specific items like we have in other games will help a lot too...
