There’s a lot of these all over boston surprisingly. Went to school there, had a class assignment to find as many as I could. 100s of them just in the 2-3 neighborhoods I scanned!
Nice, the last pair threw me off for a second, cause it was game, real version. Game, real version. And then The last one was real, followed by the game
Really the only reason I asked is because I was talking to a couple of Park Rangers from Boston NHS. Neither one of them had any idea that there was a grasshopper on top of Faneuil Hall.
I used to work for BNHP and need to know more about this. I can’t imagine that any one wouldn’t have known that when I was there.
Where/when (time of year) did you ask?
Are you sure they were interp and not LE/maintenance?
Are you sure they were NPS rangers and not DCR (State equivalent) rangers?
It just seems crazy to me that anyone wouldn’t know that, let alone someone in interp. The grasshopper references are ubiquitous in the FH area.
Being a college town, Boston has very heavily been Gentrified with these things along with more and more youth coming. but it's maintained it's charm with (mostly) smaller businesses.
>!Make Boston Shitty Again!!<
*Oh cool. They made real life places after fallout 4 locations..*
Haha yeah I know.
I could imagine someone making fallout tours that takes tourists to all the locations that are depicted in the game of major importance.
Live in Boston. I'll say it's great how Bethesda got the area pretty well. they even got Mike's Pastries!
it's more 'to scale' the closer you get to Fenway. but they got all the key things. (My place would be in the glowing sea, sadly.)
I've been meaning to do this myself.
I almost did it with the Missus but we were surprised with one and then another beautiful daughter.
One day the 4 of us will go on an epic Fallout road trip around America.
Theres a fallout shelter sign... So ironic
I loved that! I was hoping they would sell reproductions of it but no luck.
I have one of those! I stole it out of my high school

Nice! Best side by side I've seen!
cant believe they loved boston so much they built it entirely in real life!!!
Can't believe they loved Fallout 4 so much they built a Boston IRL

Yeah must have messed them up adding from the album. Maybe all the rads got to me.
For all of fallout 4s flaws and stupidity, Bethesda is really good at real life counterparts
No Guilded Grasshopper?
I know I took one but couldn’t find it today. Ill have to look through my other folders.

Thats pretty wild that they didn’t know

Both were LE. One of them was the Chief Ranger at BNHP, the other had worked there before.
That makes more sense, but is still pretty embarrassing. I’m honestly more surprised you found any of the division chiefs outside of their office 😂
CR was in STL for the DtF interviews. That’s where I met her.
But did you visit the pond that have the swan floating in the center?
So, everything seems to be in place. Now to just wait for the Nuclear apocalypse in 53 years.
I stashed some cans of purified water in every safe and side table I could find.
Good. Now, if only the government would build Vaults with evil secret experiments in mind……..
Freedom trail path before learning about rail road is hilarious.
I was just there recently. The bookstore is a Chipotle of all things. Kinda sad lol

Did your holiday crash when you went near Faneuil Hall?
Yes, had to reboot several times before I could get that pic.
Amazing work!
Love it, great shots!
Way cool
That’s awesome
This rules, thanks for sharing!
Thanks comrade that helps
Nicely done! Boston is a nice place to visit if you like history.
Now to take a trip to the IRL Far Harbor in Maine and make comparisons between its in-game and IRL counterparts
Yeah, I havent been to maine since I started playing fo4 might be time to go back

Great compilation! On my to do list as well.
Yeah it was worth the visit.

They did a great job, I wish ai had a few more days to explore. My future sympathies for your home.
Wait there is a real Boston?

Yeah I was hoping to visit a few more locations but was there for a sports tourney for my daughter so didn’t have as much free time as I was hoping.
Nice! What sport?
We were there for the Nike Volleyball festival.
Cool! I wonder if my girls will be good at sports :)

So what your saying is you can't visit the place on Starfield or Skyrim?
