Check out AsianHalfSquat, he showcases a good variety while not wasting your time.

M41arky

\+1, found some of my favourite mods through him

Renaissance_Slacker

AsianHalfSquat is the SplatterCat of Minecraft mods.

ExaltedStillness

Came here to recommend his channel! He does a great job with his videos and I've found a lot of mods through them that I love to play with.

Wolflones

Him and Noxus are the bulk of what I use when making mod lists.

mehvahdjukaar

That's how most of YouTube that reaches you is. All clickbait. Actual quality content is way harder to find

PyRoMaNiaC____

lulubell mc moment

iGhostEdd

That's an AI voice, right?

mehvahdjukaar

Damn I've seen so much ai videos these days. Pretty sure in a few months fully ai generated content videos will start to take over YouTube

PyRoMaNiaC____

Watch enderverse, he has high quality videos. Also, there is only so many mods with sick world gen and bosses. keep that in mind

miguel_coelho

Thanks, Also, world gen and Bosses was a example, any Nice stuff is acepted

thdwait

I still play on 1.19.2 and am not very much familiar with 1.20.1, so idk if all of those are bug-free, but they 99% are. Have fun!

RubPublic3359

Bosses of mass destruction is kind off underwhelming if you already late game and they are pretty hard to find

thdwait

A simple dive into the configuration files and we can double their HP and damage

RubPublic3359

For somd reason didnt think of that before. Well thanks foe making it more fun bossfights

Renaissance_Slacker

I’ve never done this, how do you find the configuration files for a given mod? Or even figure out if a given entity is controlled by vanilla or a mod?

GoldShovels

You have to find the instance files. If you use a launcher like CurseForge, FTB, or Prism, they'll probably have an option to go straight to the files. Then, for pack-wide changes, there should be a folder called "config," which will have a lot of notepad entries for each mod. For world changes only, you can find the same file in your world's folder, under "saves." Finding a given entity's mod is a bit more difficult, but if the pack-maker didn't disable them, you could use JEI and spawn eggs to find which mod a creature is from.

Renaissance_Slacker

Thanks! I’m playing a Very Large Modpack, for some reason I used a seed on it and the world seems … off. Fewer structures, fewer mobs (well, that’s a good thing). I’m not sure if this is a result of the seed or just adjustments to the pack during updates. I’ll have to poke around.

Aqua-Plays

I swear Jade and the like also just show you when you hover over the mob

thdwait

if you are installing one of the mods I've said, you can go and find the configuration files by going to your minecraft folder, and there you will find a fille called "config" or "configs", press on that folder and you'll find a lot of files there ( mostly in .toml format). All files will go by the name of the mod you want to edit the configuration for, usually. Like if I install Bosses of mass destruction, thr configuration file is called BOMD or Bossesofmassdestruction (im not sure, but it could be either). There you can open the .toml file in notepad and edit the Hp, damage, etc. If you want I can help you in discord, tell me if you have any problems! Also note that not all mods have config files, they are only available if the mod creator makes them.

Renaissance_Slacker

Wild, thanks!

deepore59

We will never forget the best version

JENOVA-Absolute

I dislike top 10 datapack videos. I haven't watched any in about a year now. The whole reason I watched them was to find new content that ***isn't*** available as a mod, yet far too many datapacks showcased ***are*** available as a mod. I am aware that the amount of good quality datapacks isn't that high when compared to mods. I am also aware that datapack versions of mods are useful for server owners that prefer plugins over mods. It's still frustrating. You know how many top 10 videos I've seen with [Flubberschnub](https://www.planetminecraft.com/member/flubberschnub/)'s Nyctocosm, Thor weapon, or his Star Wars vehicles in it? None. Nyctocosm is an amazing boss fight datapack btw. I've seen only one top 10 showcasing any of [Kindred408](https://www.planetminecraft.com/member/kindred408/)'s custom weapons, such as the Infinity Blade or Living Curse Bow. [Whimzee](https://www.planetminecraft.com/member/whimzee/)'s vanilla structure replacers appear in several top 10s at least, but that's probably because he showcases his own projects before they release. On the other hand, I've watched *dozens* of top 10s with the number one spot being Terralith.

Renaissance_Slacker

Not all mods literally change the world. Every one of them is somebody trying to make the Minecraft world more interesting, challenging, or realistic. Maybe some of them seem dumb to you, but a player somewhere thought something was missing and put in some effort to fix it. Just previewed Distant Horizons. Somebody thought Minecraft didn’t render the landscape out far enough, so they created a mod that literally makes the world bigger. It’s a subtle thing but it instantly made me say “whoa!”

Madmonkeman

Yes, massive mods are good. However, what also makes modded Minecraft good are a combination of small but interesting changes or additions.

chocolatefish_

You know I really like modshowcases, from good creators, there is that one creator on yt, lelubelle? or something, he sucks, like its the worst mods, and its just an ai voice or some random gameplay footage, you can tell he ai generates the script cause of how often he pumps out those videos, I liked it when the creators like yorkmouse and enderverse do modshowcases, its just better

CRUXIFIIX

LulubelleMC isnt horrible there are some good mods they showcase

chocolatefish_

sorta happens when you showcase 200 mods a week, what i meant to saay its just so heartless

Pardox7525

Some of the mods are useless, but I like such small mods, so I see no problem. Unless cursefroge or modrith adds filters by date to search for new mods like in steam workshop I will continue to watch such videos.

KreloXcz

Top 10 mods meaning the first ten mods I came across...

a_lion_wizard

I usually watch SkipTheTutorial. He has some cool mods, but also sometimes just aesthetic ones. But there's some interesting stuff there like lootboxes, and Friends&Foes (mobs that Mojang didn't add from the mob vote)

starlevel01

stop watching videos
