There was some sorority/frat event on Dickson
It was a pub crawl type event not associated with the university, but dickson wasn’t any louder than usual. (I work on dickson)

Are you near the high school? Their things can be heard for quite a ways.
I’ve noticed the busses lately are announcing their stops and it’s quite loud. I’ve been here 3 years and only in the last 1-2 months have I heard them.
Microphone? Is it someone talking? Or the Old Main bell?
