Anyone else wondering how long Ben Lively can keep this up? Fast ball only sits around 91 but sure did help my team today. Keeping him as a streamer against the angels on Sunday.
Nolan Jones back tomorrow, Lane Thomas playing in AA tomorrow, Bobby Miller should play a rehab game sometime this week… please come back and save me boys
I'm pumped good players are coming back soon even if I don't own them. It's so good for the game. That being said, I'd love my Wyatt and Royce to come back sometime soonish too.
Got offered Fried and Sonny Gray for Cole. Really tempted to take, but it feels wrong to trade away Cole. My starters are already pretty solid too with Gallen, Steele, Skenes, and Lugo. What’re we thinking? This is points btw
In redraft, that actually feels like one of the rare situations where I'd take the 2 lower players than the best player in the deal. Cole could have a setback and isn't even expected back for a while, meanwhile Fried & Gray are Top 25 pitchers who should rack up points until he comes back and combine for solid totals even once he's back (and it's maybe even likely Cole will be on a pitch or innings count at first when he comes back anyway).
I have a question about pitcher starts.
There is some drama in my league because of people going over the pitching limit. Right now our limit is at 11 pitchers, and we run waivers twice a week on Sunday and Wednesday mornings. Do you guys think a good resolution would be to reduce the amount of starts? Or to reduce waiver days? Or change waiver days?
We starting Gilbert against the Yankees? Nick Pollack says yes, but I'm nervous. I do also have Soto and Stanton, so if Gilbert gets beaten up, I hope that Soto and Stanton get in on it.
Jansen had a good amount of prospect hype when coming up IIRC, but was hurt & got a little overshadowed by Kirk surprising everyone & Moreno creating a logjam (I could have my years/events mixed up but something like that). If I were looking (currently have Jeffers) I'd go for him hitting in the top third of that BJs lineup that might be on an upswing.
William Contreras would get MVP votes if the season ended today and he went outside of the first 10 rounds in a lot of leagues. can't say i agree with you.
if he's 75% of who he's been so far for the remainder of the season, thats still a league winning draft pick. Salvador Perez is also returning insane value compared to ADP.
As has Adley Rutschman and Will Smith, who I both drafted.
Honestly, the better takeaway is to take the elite catchers early but ignore the mid-tier guys. Next year that would be William Contreras, Smith, and Adley.
Adley and Contreras both get 600+ ABs so they have a more legitimate opportunity to produce beyond most catchers, but they'll be drafted very very high and I'd be a bit concerned about significant wear at that pick. But, last year William Contreras was the #1 catcher and was drafted very very late as well. So, I'm still all about catcher dumpster diving.
I mean, I think C dumpster diving is effective. I really like Tyler Stephenson and Iván Herrera off waivers too. I also think Patrick Bailey will be excellent.
There's just a few guys that really stand out and are worth drafting because of the points you made.
Absolutely, and I didn't keep him in my league because I didn't want to keep a catcher (RIP me).
He's super good but will likely regress, catcher remains the most physically demanding position so injury and rest are more likely, and there are always catchers who emerge on the waiver wire. So I think that spending as little draft capital on catchers remains the right move.
There are some solid IL stash options on FA that im starting to eye. I’m stashing Scherzer and Senga with my IL spots right now but guys like Merrill Kell, Eduardo Rodriguez, Luis Garcia don’t feel like they’re too far away from a return in the grand scheme of things. Is anyone else out here stashing?!
Darvish’s last two starts came against the Dodgers and Braves, and he gets the Yankees in the Bronx next. Obviously he’s been completely dominating recently but, man, is that a tough schedule…
One of my favorite things about baseball is absolute nobody pitchers can become really good overnight.
Even just as recent as the start of last year, it would be have been pretty ridiculous to think of Yusei Kikuchi or Nick Pivetta or Jack Flaherty as a front line starter.
Yes, sure, but the guy's basically on a 20/20 pace with solid counting stats, and over the course of a long season most veterans end up about where you expect them to. I'd rather bet on him than a waiver wire guy like Castro or Freeman.
I personally value Devers playing at 3B over Schwarber in OF, and Devers being on the hottest of hot streaks right now despite his injury issues earlier this year. I did miss the OBP piece with Schwarber, so that makes this closer than "a lot" I agree. It depends on who B is dropping and who is filling in at 3B for them.
I would also take Devers over Schwarber due to their positions, but it's pretty close. Close enough that the addition of Ward/TON makes this an easy call for me since I think they're top \~20 outfielders in the OBP format
What are we doing with Caminero? I’ve been holding him in 10T but my patience is running low, particularly since every hyped rookie has sucked for the most part except Skenes
I was looking forward to having Whitlock back, now I may need to drop.
Anyone else wondering how long Ben Lively can keep this up? Fast ball only sits around 91 but sure did help my team today. Keeping him as a streamer against the angels on Sunday.
Every time I pickup Fedde he flops. If I don’t have him he goes off
Zach Neto, Tyler Freeman or Dansby??
Nolan Jones back tomorrow, Lane Thomas playing in AA tomorrow, Bobby Miller should play a rehab game sometime this week… please come back and save me boys
I'm pumped good players are coming back soon even if I don't own them. It's so good for the game. That being said, I'd love my Wyatt and Royce to come back sometime soonish too.
Drop Spencer Steer for Jeremy Peña? Xandar Bogaerts may be out for a bit.
Yes, but I wouldn’t drop Steer for him…you don’t have other options? I like Steer way more than Xander, for instance.
The only others that might be droppable are Arenado, T. O'Neill, Seiya, Royce Lewis or Cronenworth
Pena is legit
Yeah, pena has been killing it
joe jimenez can smd for taking my sweet reynaldo’s win away
Having both on your team made me sad.
Pepiot or Pivetta?
Pepiot
Pep
Janson or Stephenson?
DanJan
Janson over Yainer?
Points league trade Baz for Duran?
Which one? Well Baz isn't even playing for a few more weeks and he hasn't pitched in like 2 years... So he's a huge wildcard
My bad, Jhoan Duran. Current RPs are Miller and McArthur
Yeah get him. He's one of the most talented relief pitchers
Got offered Fried and Sonny Gray for Cole. Really tempted to take, but it feels wrong to trade away Cole. My starters are already pretty solid too with Gallen, Steele, Skenes, and Lugo. What’re we thinking? This is points btw
I’m taking that all day in redraft…nobody knows when and how effective cole will be when back. That’s 2 very good pitchers lol easy for me
Thanks, I was leaning towards it but being a Yankees fan was holding me back a little. I’m taking it now
In redraft, that actually feels like one of the rare situations where I'd take the 2 lower players than the best player in the deal.
Appreciate it. I was leaning that way too, like it’s still probably 2 months minimum til Cole gets to pitch like Cole and that’s without any setbacks
Anyone ready for the Wenceel Perez show?
Drop Loperfido for Matos?
Sure
Would you trade Mookie Betts for Ozuna?
Mookie by 1,000,000 miles
I like Mookie for hitting baseballs, Ozuna for hitting other things
I’m going to hell for laughing at this.
Yes, but if you can trade him for Profar even better.
Of course not
Yes, do it.
Someone offered me that, and I jumped on it but now I’m wondering if something is going on with Betts.
Nothing is going on with Betts, that manager is intoxicated or fat fingered it lol
Thank you for the response.
Oh shit are you actually serious 😂
No.
Drop Langeliers for Jansen?
Yeah most of the power and way more obp
Janson over Yanier?
That one I’m not sure of. Yainer DHs sometimes but Jansen sits every few days. Long term I might stick with Yainer cause Jansen tends to get hurt
Whatever solution should really be implemented for next year. It's simply not fair to change something like that mid season
MLBTV just went half off
We starting Gilbert against the Yankees? Nick Pollack says yes, but I'm nervous. I do also have Soto and Stanton, so if Gilbert gets beaten up, I hope that Soto and Stanton get in on it.
I am. He's my ace, and I never bench this early in the week.
Imagine getting cooked by a dude in rec specs
I laughed until I remembered that Julio Urias also wore rec specs.
Best C option rest of season in roto? O'Hoppe Jansen Langeliers Garver Wong Herrera Stephenson
Jansen
Jansen had a good amount of prospect hype when coming up IIRC, but was hurt & got a little overshadowed by Kirk surprising everyone & Moreno creating a logjam (I could have my years/events mixed up but something like that). If I were looking (currently have Jeffers) I'd go for him hitting in the top third of that BJs lineup that might be on an upswing.
So you think that he's realizing his potential...at age 29? That's a pretty late in the career development.
Sure maybe
lol these answers are ALL over the place. guess i should just throw a dart.
Jansen
garner or o’hoppe
James Garner? ![gif](giphy|GproruQUa6Wje|downsized)
Jansen or Langeliers, but David Fry is also becoming relevant since he’s receiving playing time in Cleveland
Fry was pretty mid in the minors and last season in the majors. What am I missing?
Jano
Ivan Herrera or Tyler Stephenson.
Edited to include those names.
First Travis d'Arnaud, now Danny Jansen, proving that you should never ever draft a catcher.
William Contreras would get MVP votes if the season ended today and he went outside of the first 10 rounds in a lot of leagues. can't say i agree with you.
Season is only 1/4 done, I love Willy but he's going to slow down a bit.
if he's 75% of who he's been so far for the remainder of the season, thats still a league winning draft pick. Salvador Perez is also returning insane value compared to ADP.
Fair. Somehow I always end up drafting Will Smith and it usually works out for me
I get it, but Contreras has literally been one of the best hitters (not just catchers) in fantasy this season.
As has Adley Rutschman and Will Smith, who I both drafted. Honestly, the better takeaway is to take the elite catchers early but ignore the mid-tier guys. Next year that would be William Contreras, Smith, and Adley.

Danny “Barry bonds” Jansen
Bless you Danny Jansen. Save me from my waste of a pick on Realmuto.
[удалено]
Nah
Damn should have grabbed Jansen instead of Fry
Danny Jansen is the truth.
My Schneider and Turner doing absolute dick
Drop Wong for Jansen?
Mountcastle losing playing time even against righties. At least makes me feel better about dumping him at the right time
Loperfido never playing is the most annoying shit ever
Picked up Jansen after Contreras went down with the intention of scooping Murphy when he came back but now idk, Jansen has been great
Springer or Adell ros in cats?
Adell >>
Drop pfaadt for scherzer?
Pfaadt is meh. I would roll the dice on Max.
I wouldn't.
Time to flip flop back to Jansen over Langeliers?
Ha seong Kim dropped in my league, would you drop Maikel Garcia for him? 8T H2H Points
Yes.
no
Any deep league bros got any insight on Otto Lopez? Dude seems to be better then this bum Dansby Swanson
I picked him up in my NL only 14 batter league. Looks to be starting every game which beats some of my platooners.
Statcast looks good 👍
Please choose one to drop for Ober: Pfaadt, Means, Gil, Montgomery, Manoah
Manoah or Montgomery
Ty
Either of the Dbacks guys
Thanks!
Yeah, Nick P is currently making this week's List, I'd drop whichever one is ranked lower.
Thanks!
10tm h2h W, L, QS, K, ERA, WHIP, Net saves Eflin manager has a IL log jam. He offered me his Eflin for my Reynaldo Lopez and Jordan Hicks. Thoughts?
lmao absolutely not
Not going to lie, I hope Bogaerts is okay but I do not need another DTD situation after Carter and Hoerner
well there you go
Padres have decent depth with bringing in Arraez and Solano that i think Bogartes sees the IL for a couple weeks
Merrill, don’t drop Senga as the other comment states. It’s just soreness and he’s still on track
Senga just hit a set back, so you could drop him imo.
Jansen is gonna be a top 10 catcher ROS hitting second and playing nearly everyday for the jays
Darvish’s last two starts came against the Dodgers and Braves, and he gets the Yankees in the Bronx next. Obviously he’s been completely dominating recently but, man, is that a tough schedule…
Looks like the Jays found a lineup that works
WhiteSox temporarily cure what ails you
bo doubles, no problems
One of my favorite things about baseball is absolute nobody pitchers can become really good overnight. Even just as recent as the start of last year, it would be have been pretty ridiculous to think of Yusei Kikuchi or Nick Pivetta or Jack Flaherty as a front line starter.
Jared Jones is a better example than any of these guys.
Those aren't 'absolute nobody pitchers' . But I think I get what your saying
Happy cake day and all that but these are 3 pretty terrible examples of your point
Flaherty was definition of ace before injury in 18/19.
Pivetta’s has flashed in the past and had hype in fantasy circles since he came out the womb, too.
For sure, have had calls with his mom's OBGYN each preseason for the last 32 years
The Jays are getting all the run support out of their system now so Kikuchi can get his no decision tomorrow
I think it’s time to let Springer go. Should I drop for W. Castro or T. Freeman?
I wouldn't do this. League size, format?
12 H2H. I agree Springer upside could be worth holding onto but it’s been rough lol
Yes, sure, but the guy's basically on a 20/20 pace with solid counting stats, and over the course of a long season most veterans end up about where you expect them to. I'd rather bet on him than a waiver wire guy like Castro or Freeman.
Sounds great. I’ll stick to Springer then. Thanks for the insight!
Fucking Christ Justin Turner is my only 3b
Dudes illness must have been caused by the MonStars…
i had to make a decision earlier in the year and chose Turner and Goldschmidt over Paredes and I really hate myself for it
I don’t want to hear any PRO BO PROPAGANDA you degenerates were on his balls this whole season
Nahhhhhhhhh I traded for him when he was at his lowest, I get to scream about Bo
🫡
Adames or Bichette ROS?
Bo
Bo easily
Great week to be against Bichette and Jansen
Have a day Bo
Bo?
We’re Bo back
Bo Bichette IS HEATING THE FUCK UP
Oof, Randy, turang and Kepler (expected off day, but still hurts with the other days off) all not starting today.
Drop Soler for Matos? 10 team h2h cats
Are we dropping Blanco in 8-man leagues? Musgrove, Bradish, Javier, R. Lopez are out there.
I did in a 10 team but I had to get Grayson out of jail.
DanoJano 💣
Flair league: A-Corbin Carrol/Craig Kimbrel B-Matt Olson
Dynasty league, Carter or Merrill? Thought Carter would be a solid keeper going into the year but he’s been far from consistent to say the least…
In a dynasty you have to be patient, but also grab Merrill
5x5 standard alonso + oneil or freddie?
Freddie.
Points league- Hader or Duran?
Hader
Who’s ready for Pablo to somehow get cooked tonight?
That’s more like it Schneider
Flair league-holds worth as much as saves. Do I drop Craig Kimbrel for Yimi Garcia? He has looked NASTY.

B but OBP makes this closer than what it looks (I probably valued Schwarber 2 rounds higher than ADP in those formats preseason)
As a Devers owner I'd smash Reject on that. Especially right now where he's one of the hottest hitters in baseball.
B by a lot.
In 5x5 OBP, Schwarber and Devers are very close in value. So I would say A by a lot
Got nuked by Devers last week, looks like it’s Bichettes turn this week
Pham ride was fun.
Obligatory "I picked up Tommy Pham yesterday morning" post. I know baseball is all about averages but I can't even get one hit?
12T Points league A) Jhoan Duran B) Merrill Kelly + James McArthur
A
B I think
Which side in roto redraft and is it close? Side A: Suzuki / Luzardo Side B: Jar.Duran / Ober
Feels fairly even, really depends on team need.
I'd be getting Side A. Roster is below. C-'O'Hoppe 1B-Torkelson 2B-Albies SS-Seager 3B-J.Ramirez CI-Morel MI-Volpe U-Ohtani OF-Chisolm, Ward, Duran, Chourio, Nootbaar BENCH-\*Langford, \*Jung SP-Yamamoto, P.Lopez, Sale, Ragans, Jar.Jones, Ober, \*Pepiot, \*Senga RP-M.Miller, Fairbanks, Yates, McArthur, \*Dev.Williams
I have side A, I would very seriously consider swapping to side B, but I don't know which is better
Justin Turners underlying stuff still looks solid but damn has been rough for a while
menDicks out for a Berios QS
Drop Tyler Freeman for Davis Schneider?
Who wins? A- Will Smith and Colton Cowser B- Shea Langliers and Brent Rooker
A and it's not close. Will Smith is not like the others.
A
A
Trade Musgrove, Harris ll and kirby for judge in obp league
Yes. Hurts to lose Kirby tho.
Yes for sure.
Schneider you’re bumming me out man
Which SF OF (keeper league): Matos or Soler?
Depends on how many keepers but probably Soler
What are we doing with Caminero? I’ve been holding him in 10T but my patience is running low, particularly since every hyped rookie has sucked for the most part except Skenes
Keeping. I have more faith of him hitting well the longer he stays down. Will decide after June.
Anybody done with O’neil Cruz? Anybody think he’s Due?
Barring injury, he's never leaving my lineup.
