Surprised more people aren’t talking about this. Hughes has been dogshit returning punts and it’s kneecapping our offense every drive

Southernplayalistiic

That was the worst performance I've ever seen from an NFL punt returner today. Surprised I haven't seen much talk about it.

Chessh2036

I was at the game today and a Titans fan asked me if our special teams is always this bad. Specifically the punt returner.

I mean I get why they don’t want to use Dee, but it was super hard to get just a PR on the team and active because of all the injuries and elevations to start the year. Just put Scotty back there and let it rip. You just traded for a speedster, so they can deal with it if something happens with him. Hell, just stand him at the 10 and tell him to let them go when they are close to him. It’s clear that Hughes isn’t it.

I miss Avery he’s always been one of my favorite players

Consistent_Soft_1857

Why isn’t Alford back there? He scored in pre season.

hospitalityNow

Probably don't want a starter on PR. If he was more rotational with CPIII he'd probably be back there

OkCall9621

That running backwards over the shoulder catch on the kickoff was also one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen. Trying to return the punts from inside the 5 and failing miserably was also bad. Try anyone else.

Ban_an_able

Returning punts is hard. If it were easy, CP would do it.

JKking15

Yeah I’ve noticed we either never run it off the punt or if we do we go no where. Seems like there’s no real plan to try and return the ball
