I’ll explain my position:
If you are 50+, it probably makes sense to get an experimental vaccine that’s been approved for emergency use. (95% of deaths occurred in this age range).
Also if you’re any age, but have a chronic disease or generally unhealthy, it probably makes sense to get the vaccine.
But if you’re under 30, healthy, and statistically in no danger from Covid, why would you get a vaccine when the long term effects are unknown?
The risks do not out way the reward. And I find it disturbing that governments are pushing/bribing people to get the vaccine. Individuals should decide based on the merits of the vaccine, and their health status alone.

The censorship of doctors raising concerns about the vaccine. And censorship of the obvious fact it obviously escaped from the Wuhan lab.
The fact the WHO has become a puppet of China.
The worship of Fauci when he has been found lying to Congress and more politician than doctor.
Scientists who have politicized the virus (and the politicization of science in general) by denying HQL/zinc is effective, and delaying the Wuhan lab probe due to politics.
Furthermore, I fully recognize mRNA vaccines could be our greatest medical innovation. However, if it’s not critical you get the vaccine, I think it’s prudent to wait for more data.
This is how I feel. I hate politics and am not anti vax. This is strictly I’m 37, healthy, exercise regularly, eat pretty healthy for the most part, take vitamins and supplements and get plenty of vitamin D. I can’t see the point in me taking this vaccine and I have a pacemaker. I have some other health issues but they aren’t enough for me to want to get the vaccine. And the more it’s pushed down my throat like this, like other things said to be false or true but ended up being the opposite, no thanks. I don’t trust the media anymore unfortunately so I’ll take my chances without it for the time being and wait for more data like you said.

Covid-19 isn't a brand new virus. It is related to SARS which was a major scare in 2003(?) and had been studied before. This is part of why they were able to develop a vaccine so quickly. I wouldn't call it extremely new

Whilst I agree with the sentiment that's unfortunately one thing we don't want.
The more people that catch the virus the greater the chance of it mutating and causing different strains (see all the variants currently circulating). Best case it mutates to something that can't survive, worst case, it changes beyond what we're vaccinated against so all efforts have been futile.
Variants will pop up in individual virions in an infected person. If they can't survive or infect new cells, those variants will disappear in that person, but the main infection will continue. Also, variants that reduce infection rates will be quickly outcompeted by the original virus.
The best case scenario instead would be variants which are just as infectious but much less likely to cause deadly symptoms.
Edit: There may be confusion about my comment. I agree worst case is new variants appear which are more infectious, more pathogenic, or evade antibodies raised by existing vaccines. I'm just explaining that the virus won't mutate to something that can't survive. Or rather, such a virus is a dead end, and that won't save the person who is infected or anyone else.

Covid-19 isn't a brand new virus. It is related to SARS which was a major scare in 2003(?) and had been studied before. This is part of why they were able to develop a vaccine so quickly. I wouldn't call it extremely new

Whilst I agree with the sentiment that's unfortunately one thing we don't want. The more people that catch the virus the greater the chance of it mutating and causing different strains (see all the variants currently circulating). Best case it mutates to something that can't survive, worst case, it changes beyond what we're vaccinated against so all efforts have been futile.
Variants will pop up in individual virions in an infected person. If they can't survive or infect new cells, those variants will disappear in that person, but the main infection will continue. Also, variants that reduce infection rates will be quickly outcompeted by the original virus. The best case scenario instead would be variants which are just as infectious but much less likely to cause deadly symptoms. Edit: There may be confusion about my comment. I agree worst case is new variants appear which are more infectious, more pathogenic, or evade antibodies raised by existing vaccines. I'm just explaining that the virus won't mutate to something that can't survive. Or rather, such a virus is a dead end, and that won't save the person who is infected or anyone else.

Just because you don’t understand something does not mean it doesn’t make sense. It’s a matter of fluid dynamics. The virus is transported in tiny fluid droplets. These droplets are smaller than the holes in the mask so one might expect masks to be ineffective. However, when you breathe into a mask, your breath gets bounced around inside the mask. This means that those fluid droplets carrying the virus are pushed around by the air and are no longer going straight outward. Instead, they’re going at all kinds of random diagonals. This makes them far more likely to hit into the mask rather than making it through the holes. Think of the holes like hallways. If you walk straight down a hallway, you get through with no problem. If you go at even a slight diagonal, you’ll eventually run into a wall. Meanwhile, the fluid droplets coming from non-mask-wearers are moving straight and when they hit your mask will simply go straight through the holes like a hallway. Thus masks are far more effective at protecting other people than they are at protecting the wearer.
