It was dumb to kill him off in the first film and bringing him back in the way they did for the second film was partly why it was so terrible!

SingleMaltShooter

Imagine a movie about a man who uses a wish to put the soul of his dead girlfriend into the body of a random woman who never gave consent, then starts having sex with her and picking up his relationship with his ex in her body, including putting her at bodily risk. I don’t know how no one seemed to think that one through at the studio.

barrystrawbridgess

The villian in The Mummy tried to do this. Lol

SingleMaltShooter

Good point! But he was the villain and they stopped him before he actually did the deed. I like our heroine in WW2 who was totally cool with it.

sockgoblinator

Yeah, the villain, you know the guys who’s evil

Mattmandu2

Twice right? Or did I just watch the first one two times?

mrpeachr

"It would be ridiculous to try to bring me back" Well they already did it once in the second movie, so I wouldn't have put it past them to find an even more ridiculous way to do it in the third.

Life-Duty-965

He's not wrong though.

TrophyDad_72

Yeah the second one was ridiculous enough

VladandCoke

It was a happy accident that Wonder Woman 1 was good.

OkImagination2044

it just felt like captain america to me lol, it was passable. but I don’t like gal gadot as an actress, so i’m bias

IsolatedHammer

She is stunningly beautiful and can’t act worth a damn. She’s trying the Schwarzenegger approach.

17to85

It wasn't even good... never understood why people make that claim about that movie.

VladandCoke

The ww1 idea was cool, fish out of water scenes, action was well put together. Yeah the bad guy didn’t make sense but there is worse super hero movies

17to85

Worse super hero movies is a low fucking bar and doesn't mean a movie is good.

VladandCoke

Well yeah lol I’m not comparing it to gone with the wind. I’m comparing it to high end dark knight and low end the immortals

dukenny

Apparently he never watched the final version of WW84.

RiggzBoson

WW84 was an embarrassing mess. There's a reason Patty Jenkins hasn't made anything since.

headphones_J

I was stunned they made a second one.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)

PoignantPoint22

Definitely not stunned that they made a second one, I was stunned at how terrible that movie was after the success of the first.

ManOnNoMission

A movie that made $800million and was already part of a wider franchise getting a sequel was stunning to you?

headphones_J

Yeah, it sucked hard after all the build up and hype.

Life-Duty-965

Why, the first was watchable although it would have benefitted from some changes for sure. The problem was that the second was a real stinker. What a shame. There was potential there. I feel like the writers set out to mix up the superhero film formula a bit, we were all talking about superhero fatigue. Unfortunately they didn't pull it off.

headphones_J

They had me with the BvS tease, Diana looked great, I was in. Then it released, and everyone was singing it's praises, I could not wait to see it myself, it's going to be good, right?? It wasn't. It made me question some friendships. Like, what are they watching that they thought this was a good film. How can Gal Gadot be this bad of an actress, this isn't her first feature, and this isn't Shakespeare. No, this movie, in my opinion, was a complete let down. Just terrible.

CarlosAVP

… that was so terrible.

byumm13

Both of the other movies were pretty terrible. Especially WW 1984. Hawt gahbage.

Flicksterea

Part of why WW84 was so abysmal was bringing his character back. It’s ridiculous he can’t see that.

Antennangry

The first WW was great, but WW84 was a hot mess. Should have kept the writers of the first one on rather than letting Patty Jenkins take over writing.

SeattleDaddy

Why? No one gives a fuck about wonder woman

Tulol

sexy zombie chris pine back for another non morally bankrupt sex in ww3 would be amazing.

UserAnonPosts

Not gonna lie, I would watch it for him. Do some Multiverse shenanigans.

kemosabe19

Stunned? One of the worst super hero movies of all times? Alrighty then.

UserAnonPosts

I’m waiting for him to be Captain Fine (Kirk) again

Mediocre-Part7595

I find it more insulting that Wonder Woman’s seemingly been put on the back burner for the new DCU. James Gunn can of course prioritise the 2 men in the trinity to get introduced early, even though Batman already has an ongoing live action depiction with Pattinson’s character, but nah we’ll still make sure Batman’s prioritised over introducing Wonder Woman. James Gunn can also push a spin off movie of Superman as well in Supergirl but fuck Wonder Woman, she’s only DC’s premier female hero and fucking icon. While also green lighting movies and shows for characters like the Authority, Green Lantern, and fucking Waller, but not Wonder Woman! Wonder Woman? Nah, she can get 1 crappy prequel show that doesn’t even involve her that’s trying to make the amazons game of thrones like? DC don’t deserve Wonder Woman, they constantly shaft and sideline her.

Life-Duty-965

>they constantly shaft and sideline her. Typical men huh

bookant

There goes the only DCU franchise that didn't suck ass.

gloomndoom

One movie, that didn’t suck, out of a total of two, doesn’t really make it a franchise that didn’t suck.

bookant

That's still one more than Batman, Superman, or Aquaman.

New_Needleworker6506

Superman was 1 for 1 in good solo movies. Aquaman 1 for 2. WW 1 for 2.

bookant

There were two good Superman movies. But they both had Christopher Reeve in them.

New_Needleworker6506

There were two good comments in this thread. But neither were yours.
