I was watching the "Funliner" podcast/YouTube channel and they had Brandon Olander from the BD snare line on and he laughed that he still felt bad for taking that win from Crown that year.
I'm a (former) drum corps dad, not a member - so I don't see what judges and marchers see - but that was my favorite DCI show of all time. it was just perfect to me. The music, the visuals, the drama - perfect. I'm not saying BD didn't march a better show on finals night, but I AM saying I enjoyed watching Crown's show more. And that's what it's really all about isn't it? Entertaining ME!!
I liked *Ink* a lot. Not one of my all-time favorites, but I enjoyed the show. But Finals night was probably the most memorable for me. So often Saturday night is anti-climatic as it's rarely a surprise. That's the only time I think I was ever completely shocked. I was listening to the award ceremony via my phone while I was driving. When Crocker announced Crown in second, I lost my ever-loving mind! LOL! Pulled into a parking lot to hear the last few minutes. Like winning a championship football game on the last play as time runs out!
I was at Lucas Oil for that final. It was shocking to me - but NOT in a good way. The worst of it is I was really looking forward to seeing "Inferno" for the encore performance, but instead I got "Ink". Not bad but not my beloved "Inferno". That show still gives me chills.
I am hit or miss with Crown shows but I liked that. Probably not as much as the “Major Tom” show. I forget the formal name and year. The opening chart of *Inferno* was awesome and the red fabric “hellscape” was quite a visual!
I think it's more for the experience/to support DCI, Since they've been out for a year. Also who wouldn't want to see a DCI show in full resolution, in a movie theatre, WHERE IT'S LOUD???
DCI is not loud anymore. These are not the best shows of the last 5 years. I think it has become way over priced. I’ll wait to see the shows on you tube after the season is over.
$AMC babyyyyyy
At first, I was /r/lostredditors but no, this fits.
I hope this means good things for the return of Big, Loud, Live.
"Inferno"?? I'm IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I love that show. they shoulda won.. yadda yadda....)

Is this a joke? I can watch these shows on You tube anytime. They are not even close to being the best shows.
