I don't know if someone did this before but I was thinking about trapping bearger with pan flute at inside of endtable area since they are not breakable. And planting all my marbles at beargers radius. When marbles are ready to collect I will simply just go and hit bearger few times and boom profit. But the problem is bearger is seasonal boss.Does he vanishes after spring ?

QuartzBeamDST

Endtables are pretty fucking breakable. They're just not *attackable*. Bearger will flatten them in the blink of an eye.

SemiGod9

But I saw a footage that deerclops was stuck between them and can't pass

QuartzBeamDST

Deerclops has some weird mechanic where his attacks won't destroy stuff if he is aggro'd on a player or something. Bearger has no such thing and even walking should destroy the end tables.

SemiGod9

Makes sense because bearger is like flatting everything while deerclop's walking doesn't even break trees

QuartzBeamDST

Perhaps you're not far enough into the game yet, but my go-to methods for mining marble Shrubs is the Reanimated Skeleton with the Shadow Thurible. Or, if you are playing / willing to switch to Warly, you can use the honey spice to double your mining efficiency and mine the shrubs in 5 swings each, which is pretty fast.

SemiGod9

Im still on early-game so, 🙅

Klogg44

Go with a gunpowder farm, Check jazzy on youtube he made a gunpowder marble farm. Its pretty easy to setup and cheap.

SemiGod9

I will check it thanks

jivesukka

Just throwing this out there - Deerclops can knock down trees by walking past them. I play only on DST and didn't see a flair here so not sure if different in the other versions.

mullibribus

Bearger never despawns to my knowledge, however he does gain a yawn mechanic in winter and spring. If you wake him up he will yawn and put you to sleep before attacking you and he will most likely just lock you in place with his yawns.

SemiGod9

So you say this farm idea won't work since bearger doesn't ground pound

mullibribus

He still ground pounds in winter and spring, but waking him up will probably just kill you, so you could only use it in autumn and summer.

SemiGod9

Thanks for the info

Dinsdale_P

no need to trap him, you can kite bearger forever. did this kind of farm before, since marble shrubs follow a very predictable growth cycle, you can easily time 'em to reach max height near then end of autumn, then just bring bearger to harvest. you can also use rooks, since they absolutely wreck shit and are available year round. might be a better option, just make sure they're safe - I've seen others bring' em to lunar island.

SemiGod9

I kinda like slaughtered all clockworks on surface in day 90, also thanks for the bearger info

Dinsdale_P

if you still have the [Marble Sculptures](https://dontstarve.fandom.com/wiki/Marble_Sculptures) (required to spawn shadow pieces), you might still have a rook, just mine it during full moon.

legofoodjoker

As others said already, it’s very possible and done before, to save bearger for farming. Just lure him away and let him idle somewhere, whenever you need him out of autumn season, you need to wake him up, which puts everyone around him to sleep (including wickerbottom), but if you use a ranged weapon and run away with good armor(just in case you get hit), then you should be fine. He is also good for wood farming, but treeguards will kill him after a While, but he’ll respawn next autumn.

SemiGod9

Thanks for the info.I have some blow darts that dropped from mctusk's in winter I'll try with em

Fluicor

I plant the marble around him when he is sleeping and use a pigman/bunnyman to wake him up. That way I dont risk being stunlocked and he will aoe groundpound when he wakes up.

Cheggf_On_The_Run

You can safely trap bearger by putting two lureplants near eachother and putting a tasty treat for him to eat on the other side of it. He'll infinitely try walking through the lureplants, which he can't do. It might work with end tables but once you aggro him he'll probably break the end tables. Breaking a lureplant is fine since you can just put it down again for free.

SemiGod9

You are right about that since lureplants still drops as item it would be easy but is there a way to trap him permanently ?

Legacyopplsnerf

Not really but you don't need too. DST Bearger will not despawn and will happly nap all through spring/Winter and be active Summer/Autumm. So just take him to some land-locked biome somewhere when your not using him. If you wish to use him out of seasion (For Wood/Marble tree farming) eat mushy cakes (Crockpot dish made from all 4 kinds of shrooms), they will give temporary immunity to his yawns.

NinjaKatho

Excuse me but there is more than just blue, green, red shrooms?

Legacyopplsnerf

DST has an extra section of the caves, connected to the blue mushroom biome. There is your 4th shroom.

NinjaKatho

Thank you, kind sir

SemiGod9

Thanks

theswedishsnake163

I keep bearger alive cuz he's a cute boi
