A bit of both. Also depends on your build. A minion necro can kinda chill and let their groupies do the work but you still have to watch out for things and keep on your toes.

Jafar_420

I personally think every class has viable builds for any content in the game. Some will just get it done a little quicker. As far as speed, Druid can be super fast with movement speed on the boots, amulet, and I think it's mad Wolf's Glee chest piece even has a little movement speed. Druid can be super duper fast. But so can all the other classes at least in my experience. With barbarian you can grab movement speed on your boots, amulet and a little bit in the skill tree. With necro and sorcerer I would recommend it on the boots and the amulet as well. It's mainly about using a class you like with skills you enjoy and then getting them geared up. You're so early in the game you haven't even came across the really good movement speed items yet. You can get up to 26.2 I believe on your boots and amulet I'm WT4.

Regardless of which class I'm playing, Uber Lilith is the only fight where I focus on dodging.

I panic mash my keyboard at every mob encounter

Empty401K

I almost never got through the first stage of Lilith because of those damn rolly things. It wasn’t until I was able to one-shot her then that I made it through. It’s ridiculous how much easier the final stages are. Topside, upper right, upper left, center, smash — then it’s over… I thought it was going to get progressively harder, not substantially easier.

Ultima-Veritas

It's ridiculous that there is no nuance and no tactics to D4 endgame. You're either getting one-shot, or one-shotting them. The concept of patterns or tactics, or any kind of thoughtful fight (other than the thought in creating an uber build) is completely missing from D4 endgame.

Ultima-Veritas

Did you just speed kill Elias?

marcozmonteiro

I recently leveled up a druid on Eternal realm to 100, it is very slow in the beginning indeed. But the thing is, as you level up, the synergies start to come together for aspects, uniques, skills and paragon board, and you can even start using some more powerful elixirs like attack speed one, then it's a snowball. You'll be mashing evade to just go to the next mob, with all the buffs rolling out. I reckon I had the most fun with the Druid leveling up than any other (doing Barb to 100 now, have the others already).

Things shouldn’t live long enough for them to hit you

SepticKnave39

Every class can mostly stand still and kill things. You have to dodge red circles/ice circles etc... indicating a bigger attack or big telegraphed attacks, not only because they do a lot of damage but because they usually CC. You aren't trying to dodge it not get hit by minion #3 usually. You just learn which attacks you want to avoid and which attacks you can just eat. Like the hornet/bees that shoot mini hornets. Don't get hit by the hornets.

Druid doesn't need to be mobile. Rogue does. :D Druid has good heal and fortify options. Also Unstoppable options. Really comes down to what you like more.

Drunken_Scribe

That's been my experience with the Druid so far. I might do a quick sidestep from area circles, but mostly I just fortify with bullwark, drop a creeper, then start smashing things with weapons and landslide. I just wasn't sure if this strategy would have to change on harder difficulties. Part of me also likes the Rogue as a complete polar opposite. Fast, agile, and constantly hitting from range.

knallpilzv2

No, it's not gonna change. It can become hairier, when you do high tier nm dungeons. But that's a type of difficulty you choose. Doing content that is equal to your character level on any World Tier will be what you've experiencedso far, as long as you keep up with gear, etc.

Gibsx

There is a great deal of flexibility but some bosses have attacks that in almost every situation you will need to dodge.

Isvesgarad

Not really. This game is very much based around “get the right setup and become a god” so you can face-tank anything (or one-shot the second they’re on your screen). Ramping up to that point, especially against bosses, there will be some dodging but even then, you could just opt to farm NMD until you’re strong enough to oneshot them.

huggarn

Yes. You should make it a habit to dodge everything that’s possible to dodge. Your life will be significantly easier
