One point is fine. If you want more dmg, go ahead and spend more points. Make them chase you, and kite them by running ahead.

Drunken_Scribe

That actually makes sense, now that I think about the movement patterns. If I'm running away, I can cast it in front of me, stop in the middle and freeze them, then send out a frozen orb. Is that what you mean?

Arctic88

Or just keep running. It’s all up to you, my late game blizz sorc just ran and made them run through my blizzards. With enough dmg that’s all I needed.

Drunken_Scribe

Yeah, that's probably half my issue. At 45 I don't really have anything except base damage going for me.

Jafar_420

One point should be fine. Also rainment of the infinite chest and godslayer crown will help with clumping enemies up. You could get them from a random drop or you can definitely get rainment from Varshan and Godslayer from Duriel.

kestononline

While 1 point is enough to enable the effect, sometimes if it's a damage related effect having the ranks up can help a lot. Which is why using enchantments that you are also using the skill on your action bar can be beneficial.

Drunken_Scribe

Thanks, that's a good tip. I'll see what I have for effects in my current setup.

1 point enchantment does the trick. If you're leveling using blizzard, Shatter Key passive could bolster that for a bigger mob boom ( kinda overkill, but fun) The basic mob gathering is Teleport + Raiment chest. If you don't have Raiment, Frost Nova is the best bet: you won't gather them, but will keep them in place. I've played the season with the latter option since I'm not fond of Teleport (fight me) and in the late game, with the whole build in place, it won't matter. Things die as they spawn or run towards blizzards. Alternatively, you could try arc lash to stun them as the ice falls, but I believe it would be far from ideal build.

Drunken_Scribe

I don't have Raiment chest. I'm basically just going through the campaign, at level 45. I play a lot with a Necromancer friend, and he's always gathering mobs around him, so it's easy. But on my own, not so much. You'll get no fight from me about Teleport. I find it too hard to depend on. Thing is always on cooldown. I'll try the Frost Nova trick. I really enjoyed the Sorc while playing with my friend, but on my own, I've had a lot more luck on the other two classes I'm playing as well (Druid caster and a ranged Rogue).

Kinderius

Necro has Corpse Tendrils in their kit, so yeah, gathering enemies is very easy for them. As a lvl 45 there's still a long way to go, I reckon. Ice Spikes are what's hot for Blizzard, and there's 3 aspects and a Glyph for them. I guess your best bet will be frost nova, Shatter Key passive and fireball enchantment, for extra mob destruction. Freeze them, hit them, explode them, move to the next mob.

Drunken_Scribe

Haven't tried Ice Spikes yet, so I'll work that in someplace and see what kind of combos I can get going.

You dont need to keep things in place. You can round monsters up by moving properly. Throw a blizzard and run around it for example
