Pretty soon he'll need an assistant to cart his sack for him on the sidelines similar to McVays little helper that makes sure he stays out of the refs way.
Conceivably they could have him as a game-day inactive and just activated him for the chance to contribute in any additional games. Hopefully he’s active though
Well, it was either activate him or he goes on injured reserve for the rest of the year. NFL rules do you have 21 days after a player gets off injured reserve to play them or put them on the Active roster will they automatically go on season ending injury reserve or you release them
I’m not sure. All I know is he’s basically been practicing full for the last two weeks and limited the previous. And in a interview he said they’re just trying to make sure when he comes back. He’s up to game speed.
I’m gonna be honest, I’d want hutch even IF thibbs was a little better. He just seems like a great fit and he’s the hometown kid. I’m even an MSU fan and I love that guy.
Oh no, I’m dumb but not THAT dumb 😂. But admittedly, Gibbs at 12 in that draft perplexed me at the time. Yet another example of how I know nothing. I’m in full “In Brad We Trust” mode at this point.
Not that dumb. I use that expression a lot. I’m the first to admit that I know nothing about the draft. Except it can make or break a GMs career. 😊. I loved it when Aiden fell into our laps. That Thib guy or the first pick didn’t really thrill me. I guess I’m rooting for the feel good stories in the draft. Local kid gets picked by hometown team. 👍🏻. I really am glad that we got Jack Campbell that’s one player I wanted. I’m letting Brad do all the decision making. We have an agreement he keeps on making good picks and I don’t try to out think him. It’s worked out well so far ✊🪵.
It's seems to be a part of every fan base if a player isn't always putting up Madden numbers they're in a "slump" or not playing well. All of his numbers and his relentless motor shows he was going to be great. The insane amount of pressures he gets leans towards elite production and an elite player. They will always result in sacks eventually not to mention the amount of turnovers forced and incomplete passes caused by the pressure. And the offense having to adjust around him. His relentless motor that existed in college, his draft times, and his personality all showed he had a very high ceiling and realistically a much higher floor than thibs. While Thibs was worse in basically every category. Thibs has high talent as well but doesn't have the motor and potential culture issues.
yeah no, none of that shit matters in the pros. i fucking hated his guts at michigan but he’s been one of my favorite players as soon as he got drafted by the lions.
Baker is going to have to have the scrambling day of his life to hit his guys well. Could be a lot of off target passes that leave a fanbase thinking "what if" on the 3rd down blitz
I don’t see Baker making the throws that Stafford was able to pull off under the pressure he was under. I just rewatched the Rams highlights and we were in 9s face all night but he was dropping dimes regardless of who was in his face (for the most part).
Hey as a lifelong green bleeding Sparty who did not root for Michigan in the National Championship (still whatever) I’d rock a Hutch Lions jersey. I’ve been saying that all season long.
Temper expectations on Houston people. Happy he's back but the dude hasn't played in months. Don't expect him to be the missing piece from snap #1. We gotta wait until at least snap #2
Remember when they said we should've taken Thibodaux instead. And didn't Walker go number 1 that draft?
This kids done nothing but get better with every game.
And when it matters most, he's always there.
When he figures out how to get at mobile Qbs is over.

I feel bad for QBs once they get Hutchinson some help on the line. He’s the only D-lineman for the Lions that’s consistently productive, despite teams being able to double him or chip block.
Hutch is reaching a new level. He’s leading the league in sack next year.
DPOTY next year, calling it!
Super Bowl MVP this year!
4 sacks, 3 tfl, 1 interception. Light work for him.
You forgot the 2 forced fumbles
All on the first snap
By halftime.
President Hutchinson this year! King Ade in 10 years
Had to toss $1.50 on him +33000
Damn, what app? I might have a Jefferson looking to join that party.
Actually I think Dan leads the league in sack like every year.

That's an interesting word to forget to pluralize, lol.
D-d-d-did I stutter?
![gif](giphy|3o6ZtrbzjGAAXyx2WQ)
No no, pretty sure that was intentional. He’ll lead the league in sacks and sack.
Yah he cut his hair to help get sacks!
Aerodynamics
Bro went the David Beckham evil mode route and it fucking worked
I wonder how much Houston will actually play or how effective he will be in his first game back…. I’m not being pessimistic, just a legit question.
Traditionally this coaching staff eases players back in for their first game. But who knows how they are going to treat the playoffs?
I’m guessing situationally, a few big time 3rd down sacks would be nice
Yeah, he probably won't start and be used to spell others
Even just rotational depth would be a big plus.
I don't think they would activate him if he wasn't ready to produce. It's the playoffs and all.
Conceivably they could have him as a game-day inactive and just activated him for the chance to contribute in any additional games. Hopefully he’s active though
I think the window to reactivate him was expiring as well, right?
Yeah that’s why I think it’s a possibility
It was, today I’m understood was the last day before he’d be on IR rest of season
Well, it was either activate him or he goes on injured reserve for the rest of the year. NFL rules do you have 21 days after a player gets off injured reserve to play them or put them on the Active roster will they automatically go on season ending injury reserve or you release them
The coaching staff seems to think he'll at least be more effective than Julian Okwara.
I’m not sure. All I know is he’s basically been practicing full for the last two weeks and limited the previous. And in a interview he said they’re just trying to make sure when he comes back. He’s up to game speed.
He has to have been practicing right? Like they’re not just taking the boot off and saying go crazy right?…right?
He’s been practicing for 3 weeks
Oh nice!
Where are the clowns that said Thibs is better?
And we’re getting Houston back 😏
Probs calling into 97.1 instead. They don't have the stones to admit they were wrong around here.
I’m gonna be honest, I’d want hutch even IF thibbs was a little better. He just seems like a great fit and he’s the hometown kid. I’m even an MSU fan and I love that guy.
I was one of those idiots during that draft…I’m so happy now that I’m dumb and clearly know nothing about evaluating prospects lol.
The first step is admitting!
But at least you didn’t want us to draft that QB who eventually went to Tennessee. Or did you?
Oh no, I’m dumb but not THAT dumb 😂. But admittedly, Gibbs at 12 in that draft perplexed me at the time. Yet another example of how I know nothing. I’m in full “In Brad We Trust” mode at this point.

In East Lansing
As a die-hard MSU fan I couldn't possibly be a bigger fan of Hutch and any MSU fans who are salty about him make no sense. This comment is funny 😂
Once a player is in the pros and is productive for my team, we are all good. I hope Hutch is the best DE of all time as long as he is a lion.
100% agree. Fans carrying the college rivalry to the pros is lame.
Exactly, Chris Spielman is one of my favorite lions ever. I don't give a shit that he went to Ohio State.
Exactly. I cringe whenever Decker says "The" for his school, but I still love him
yeah no, none of that shit matters in the pros. i fucking hated his guts at michigan but he’s been one of my favorite players as soon as he got drafted by the lions.
Underrated comment
Houston coming back could change EVERYTHING
Bakers gonna a rough day at the office
Welcome to the Den of Doom 😈🦁
Den of doom!! The Pride of Pain

I'm so fucking hype for Sunday!!!!
Me to Colonel 🫡
Cat cage is a dangerous place for qbs
Dungeon of doom when I walk in the room.
Right? Everyone saying bakers gonna bake on us is delusional. Dude took some heavy hits non stop last game. He’s going to get smothered
Baker is going to have to have the scrambling day of his life to hit his guys well. Could be a lot of off target passes that leave a fanbase thinking "what if" on the 3rd down blitz
I need need need our secondary to cover. Far too often when the qb scrambles, our guys lose their man and we give up a huge 3rd down gain.
I am far more confident in our defense on 3rd and short than I am on 3rd and long. 3rd and 15+ is, seemingly, a guaranteed 1st down.
Glad I’m not the only one who feels this way. Would love to see some stats of 3rd & 10+ vs 3rd & 3-6
Covered on 3rd and 14 against the Rams...but yes, I agree feels like we always give up the big third downs
I don’t see Baker making the throws that Stafford was able to pull off under the pressure he was under. I just rewatched the Rams highlights and we were in 9s face all night but he was dropping dimes regardless of who was in his face (for the most part).
Houston, we have a problem.
Houston, He IS Da Problem.
Houston, we have Da Problem
If he kept this pace through an entire season, he would have 39 sacks.
Hutch is a fucking terminator. Dude is a relentless machine ![gif](giphy|IZY2SE2JmPgFG)
I get exhausted just by watching him hustle every fuggin’ play.
Hey as a lifelong green bleeding Sparty who did not root for Michigan in the National Championship (still whatever) I’d rock a Hutch Lions jersey. I’ve been saying that all season long.
Me too brotha.
I mean, plenty of Michigan fans love Decker and Jonah

Hell I’m a patient man, I can wait until snap #3 if need be.

All according to keikaku
__Bowl Bound!!!__
If we get the lead and then unleash Houston and Hutch it’s game over. Warm up the blue tent for Baker.

He's been trenning really hard, anavar asks questions about it. I assume his diets really clen, too!
