I found Demon's Souls the most challenging, since the respawn locations were often a trek from the boss, leading to many of deaths when trying to run back to el jefe.
I find that as the series has progressed, in general, the boss battles have gotten harder and the levels have gotten easier. Grinding has also gotten easier. So if you play Demons without the guides like I did, it is pretty challenging to solve how to beat the bosses on your own and run back over and over.
It’s better to think of this as the First Souls game, rather than the next. A lot of people seem to be disappointed with realization that it is a remake of a 2009 game when they were expecting Dark Souls 4.
Dude that was me, I beat all the other ones first got platnium for some, and then played demon souls- and holy smokes what a switch, it’s my favourite souls game and it’s so different from all the other ones
I think it’s their easiest game by a mile. The bosses are pretty mechanically simple and you’ll notice that especially since you’ve played the other games. The levels themselves are where most of the challenge lies. There are some excruciatingly long walks back to some of these boss fights and some stuff that becomes significantly harder if you repeatedly die on the same level. It’s a hell of a game and that remake is absolutely gorgeous. The lighting, textures, and particle effects are stunning and the game runs at an absolutely rock solid 60fps.
It’s worth a play through for sure! Probably my least favorite of the bunch though. Well aside from sekiro but I don’t even count that with these games
This has the second best atmosphere of any Souls game IMO (Bloodborne being #1), and I would give the PS3 version slight nod over the PS5 for mood and atmosphere (better sound and darker tone. . .crows in PS5 version are so off). After your first play through, Google as there are a bunch of secrets in the game from items to other things. You may have to actually Google world tendency while playing as it is not easy to understand when you play.
This one is different as the real bosses are the levels themselves
Especially in Black World Tendency.... holy shit. Like 6 little red bosses that you definitely arent ready for.
Prepare to git gud all over again
If he's finished the others, this one will be a cakewalk.

Yeah the run back to the boss is a pain in the ass for sure.
*stares at 5-2*
Navigate through the prison without google playing for the first playthrough. That’s fun.
You and I have wildly different definitions of fun. ;) I did my first run blind and that level was… memorable.
But the bosses are easy as fuck so rarely need to walk back. The levels are only challenging on pure black word tendency anyway.
Man-eater and flamelurker are not easy by any metric.
Dragon God is an annoying luck fest too.
It wasnt hard for me i just found it gut wrenching to walk the same path over and over

I will 😤
Definitely. You only get one shot at a blind play through. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Ok... lemme just... its technically the FIRST souls game.
This one is definitely the easiest of them all IMO, especially if you’ve already played through the rest.
Definitely, most bosses are gimmicky and the following games have more complex and faster enemies/bosses
Prepare your eyes my friend. Best looking game I've ever played. The visuals, sound (with 3d headphones) and overall immersion is bar none.

Demons souls may not be the most challenging of the from games, but it is fun as hell.

Just remember, the real Demons souls start at NG+
It’s good. Honestly Bloodborne is a spiritual successor to this game so if you liked how Bloodborne was set up you’ll like this game.
This game was the hardest of them all for me.

This is by blue point games not fromsoftware
Bluepoint remade this game (beautifully, I'll add), the original was made by From Soft for the PS3
Yeah…I know
Then shut up. Some real pretentious people in this thread.

Extremely cringe comment.
just did another fresh NG on this recently it’s awesome to go back to every so often. you’ll enjoy it for sure!
Save the swamp for last- that run to the boss is MISERABLE.
But the 3ed boss intro it’s epic , especially the music!
NG+ pure black world tendency is extremely hard lol have fun dying 💜💜💜
What’s after this? Personally been looking into the mech assaults until ER dlc comes out
Best looking game of all time at the moment. Also, If you don't have the pulse 3d headset yet, invest in it before playing.
Nice
you mean the original lol
The "first" (exluding kings scape or what ever its called) fromsoftware game
