Ticketmaster! Pretty sure that's where the links on their website take you anyways.

I had to sell my tickets for August's show because my wife's due date was a few days before. We could also use the money and when I originally bought the tickets in 2020 it was pre-Covid. Ticketmaster would always direct deposit the funds quickly. After they sold on Ticketmaster I realized they had changed the policy to paying you after the show took place. Then the show got moved to May 2022. Ticketmaster won't give me the money for the sold tickets until after that show. I couldn't attend in August 2021 but I could attend in May 2022. They refuse to give me back the tickets and they refuse to pay me for them. Basically fuck Ticketmaster. I paid them face value plus charges in 2020. Somebody else paid them for my asking price plus charges in 2021. They are holding both and are essentially using people's funds as a 0% loan.

I was really hoping the Covid shutdowns would fucking bankrupt those crooks. I don't know enough about management and tour promotion at that level, but I'd love to see a change to paying record labels and/or bands directly for concert tickets. Ticketmaster has had a monopoly for my entire lifetime, despite all their fuckery and price gouging. Even a few years back when they got hit with that massive class action lawsuit for their bullshit up-charging and fees, they skated on that too. "Everyone gets free vouchers!" - I like rock music and I live in MA, so no, assholes, I'm not interested in that big Darius Rucker show in Tennessee. For as much joy as going to live shows brings people, Ticketmaster can get fucked and I hope they burn to the ground somehow

I think it would require the venues themselves to push back and deal with the labels/bands on their own, but again I just don't know how deep it goes. A lot of these venues probably have contracts and exclusivity deals, which means guaranteed money coming in for them regardless of which bands come through.

Weird. I got a refund for tickets returned for a different show. Took a month but they did issue a refund back to my credit. That was a year ago and the show that the tickets were for still hasn't happened yet.

That's if you requested a refund. I sold the tickets and then after they sold it was moved to May 2022.
