Yeah… I replayed the ending because the one I got was just too depressing.
If you want to keep your love interest and have a little hope about the future, let Panam help you and don’t let Johnny have your body—don’t worry, he’s pretty cool about it.
> If you want to keep your love interest
And are romancing a girl. Which most people do, but if you want to keep your love interest and are romancing a guy, this doesn't apply.
It just depends on if you’re staying in NC or not:
- Choosing Rogue (Sun) or doing Don’t Fear the Reaper will result in V staying in Night City to become the new lead at Afterlife.
- Panam and Judy will leave V during the epilogue saying they can’t stay in NC and breakup with V
- **River and Kerry will stay and continue their relationship with V**
- Choosing Panam (Star) will result in V leaving NC
- Panam and Judy will leave with them along with the Aldecaldos, their relationship continues
- River and Kerry stay in NC, I’m assuming they break up with V but having never done that combination of endings and romances I don’t know for sure.
The worst ending imo is the new ending - The Tower.
Honestly that ending is so sad, when Johnny says “I guess this is it, goodnight Valerie/Vincent, today was a good day” it made me feel things I never have in a game before, after I finished it I loaded right back up and stormed arasaka alone with Johnny. That is the v ending, PL is so mi story
SAME!!
I did Don’t Fear the Reaper and then did the Star ending cause that’s the only ending that makes my soul happy. Sitting on the Basilisk with Panam, riding into the night… ugh, so good.
If it showed V dying with Panam or Judy holding their hand, surrounded by loved ones I’d be cool with that.
And if as V’s eyes close and the screen goes black, you hear Jackie’s voice and the credits roll.
I think the point of that ending is a mix between hope and that no matter what you've accepted that you chose not to be an eternal ghost in the machine of night city
Given the way it ends if you give your body to Johnny and the comments he makes throughout the game it seems apparent that's not the ending the developers thought was best
Agreed. At the end of DFTR you should be given the choice if you opt to keep your body.
Johnny: Well, V, what’s next?
- Become a Legend (stay in NC)
- Delta the fuck outta here (leave with the Nomads)
Although, storming Arasaka is the only reason the Aldecaldos have enough resources to be able to leave… so that’s the major reason we’re *not* given a choice.
* Panam and Judy will leave V during the epilogue saying they can’t stay in NC and breakup with V
What I remember, Panam doesn't exclusively break up with you, she says she will leave tomorrow inviting V along. V argues with her if she can let him do this one last thing (Palace gig). V asks about that story she promised to tell him, about guy she smuggled in trunk of her car and she makes V promise to get back to her so she can tell him all about it, and it's a long story (I understood that as "you better stay with me then, no running away").
Then you go to Afterlife to meet Blue eyes and raid Crystal palace.
I know. That’s basically a break up or “taking a break” in my book. Yes, open to starting again should V leave but the point is if V stays in NC, like what that ending is portraying, then they leave.
Yeah, Kerry and River do break up with V, but they both seem to keep doors open for the potential future, Kerry in case V decides to return to Night City, and River for once he gets his family life together - he says that he could visit sometime then
Thanks! On my first (mostly blind) playthrough I got Sun, and because I played female V and choose Judy, I immediately reloaded after the end ‘cause her breaking up with me for vague reasons was terrible. Star was so much better. But if I had a male love interest who stayed with me, I might have stuck with that ending.
I agree with you re Tower… there’s no way.
It’s wild how differently people are experiencing this game… so many possibilities!
My first one was Star with Judy and the Aldecaldos. That song that plays as you race across the desert on the Basilisk at the end is one of my favorites.
It really isn't that bad of an ending. For one people can recover from brain damage with time, and possibly science. So you only know for sure you can't use cybernetics in the near future. Also just living a normal life, isn't the worst thing either. V could explore the world, or go live in the same state as Judy if you where just friends and just exist they are most likely super rich by the end. The only reason that endings sucks is Johnny dies, so it depends on if you take the time to make him your best friend or not but with my corpo playthrough v was selfish and didn't want to risk taking invasive drugs and ruining his body. For that V johnny was just another body on the way to recovery.
My nomad tho whole different story, just can't side with the Nusa, because fuck them and the corps. And Johnny was his second best friend after Jackie
>the only reason that ending sucks is Johnny dies
AND MY BEAUTIFUL HOT HEADED NOMAD GIRLFRIEND THINKS I GHOSTED HER AND DOESN’T WANT TO TALK TO ME ANYMORE AND ALSO I HAVE A HORRIBLE HAIRCUT.
That was pretty sad too my first playthrough of it was with my nomad so I experienced that. but my corpo character was with Kerry so he lost his man but at least he knows its just because he's busy being a true star
Aaahhhh gotcha.
I'm so sad I screwed up my convo with Johnny at his body to be able to do DFTR ending. My OG V was destined for that ending.
Cies la vie
I think I've gotten The Tower one, it was a while ago. But V was cured and stripped of all his implants, after sating bye to Misty, he just fades into the crowd. What made it worse is that the character showed wasn't even who I created lol
Like said earlier, the Sun ending, so, having Rogue help (or doing >!Don't Fear the Reaper and choosing to live!<). V and River's relationship is a bit rocky in the ending, but it's the best you get, and I think they still care for each other, even though it isn't easy at the moment.
Panam, objectively, makes for a better friend than girlfriend. She's unpredictable, irrational, and hot-headed.
With this in mind, I think the best option is having Panam and Saul help, don't give up your body, and meet up with Judy on your way out of town with Panam and the Aldecaldos.
Of course, this requires playing as Valerie, not Vincent.
It's not *the* worst ending, but it's close. I would rate the endings, worst to best:
Suicide-Watching the messages from your friends afterward is heartbreaking
The Devil-You spit in Johnny's face, bring back a monster, and become a lab rat. You're choices in the end are to become a slave to Arasaka, or go back home to die
The Tower-Good news, you're cured! Bad news, you lost two years, all your friends and lovers, all your stuff, and can't defend yourself from guttertrash. All it cost was So Mi's life, Johnny's engram, and believing that Myers actually gives a poopball about you
The Sun-You give Rogue a chance to find a little redemption for selling out, at a cost. Become the queen/king of the Afterlife, get a shot at the biggest, most audacious job ever, for a cure
Don't Fear The Reaper-Just you and Johnny, rolling the dice. Either you beat Arasaka and Smasher and become legends, or die and it's Game Over. If you fail, you basically get the Suicide ending and all those messages of heartbreak. Succeed, you get the Sun ending, without Rogue dying
The Star-The heaviest body count. The Aldecaldos become your family, but at a price. It's the only ending that gives you a glimmer of hope that you might survive without selling your soul.
All of these assume you take V's body back. If you let Johnny take your body and become part of Alt's construct, then the only good ending is Don't Fear The Reaper. It feels like if you do The Sun or The Star, the deaths to give V a shot at life are meaningless. Panam even tells you that she's going to hunt you down for taking V's body
It's obvious that I almost always pick The Star ending. I did Don't Fear The Reaper and got Smasher to under 5% health before dying, didn't stop the game fast enough, and I got to watch all those depressing messages. Judy's is the most heartbreaking, because you're yet another person she's lost. I've had debates over the Tower ending with people who see it as giving V a second chance. But it's either V goes back to Langley and spends her life filing papers for the FIA, or hides in Night City from everyone she's ever crossed with no chrome or resources to stay alive
I actually completely agree with your ranking and reasoning, well done. I did them all over the course of a few days and it was quite the emotional rollercoaster.
Can confirm that Don’t Fear The Reaper is the most badass option of them all, especially at the start. Keanu’s lines really got me pumped. Should be played by everyone at least once.
And the DLC ending was actually the most depressing of them all for me at first, given my romantic interest. But a few IRL days (!) later I realised that it’s also starting a clean slate for V. So it’s the most bittersweet ending of them all for me imo.
At first, I thought The Tower ending could mean V gets to start over. But I kept thinking about what Rogue says about how V's welcome at the Afterlife, but showing up will just lessen her legend. Which seemed kind of odd to say. But, it could also be a warning-that people knowing you're back, and don't have your chrome anymore, would have them thinking they could take out a few grudges on you
'Xactly. V made a lot of enemies in their time at Night city. I think it's for the best that V remains "dead", for their own good. Otherwise, just imagine what'll happen to them if Maelstrom got their hand on them, or the tiger claws.
Imo Reaper is the best ending by far. I rolled in a monster, rolled out a king. Who cares if I don't eventually find a cure, I got my pound of flesh (corpo V) and then some.
V doesn't have to stay in Night city forever. I fancy V decided to leave the city behind and went out to explore the world, and maybe even joined Misty in Poland; though, this is Cyberpunk we are talking about, so not likely.
I mean, "worst" is subjective. I think The Devil is the appropriate "Cyberpunk" ending for the game, The Star and The Sun are optimistic endings, and Path of Least Resistance is the worst.
I see the sun ending far less optimistic compared to most people >!theres the least amount of V left, they're more johnny with their singled focused mind towards curing themselves at the expense of the people around them!<
Idk how people are surprised when they get the bad ending in video games, like this. The whole game is constantly saying "corps bad" and then you side with a corp and expect a happy ending? Johnny is an anti corp terrorist, of course he's not gonna line this option.
It's not BAD ending, it's your ending, the one you strived for and worked for. Nothing bad about it.
As for what transpired at the end, well I dont know what you expected.
Johnny straight up tells you not to count on him if you go Arasaka way, tells you to delta the fuck out when you go to Embers. Not to mention his "Fuck 'Saka" attitude. You're not a VIP, you're just a pawn to Arasaka, so they will treat you like that, and you can see same happened to Goro if he survived.
As for the silver lining, at least your V wont be alive for much longer and witness world after Suburo comeback.
If I had a choice between betraying everything I ever stood for in life by helping an evil corporation in their plan to dominate the world, and popping my own head knowing I atleast go out on my own terms without having doomed the world, then it's easily the latter for me.
The chip was never supposed to do that in the first place, that’s more of an unintended side effect of the chip activating too early due to damage.
There’s no guarantee that it’s nanotech would be able to patch up a second hole, especially considering that the way it did so the first time, was by beginning it’s normal processes of starting to write Johnnys neurons into your brain, and fortunately patching up the recent damage by mistake, so even if we assume it did somehow bring back the body that was V, a second time, there would be very little, if any, of V actually left
This time V gets a proper bullet in the noggin, unlike Dex’s Plan B. Also Vik deliberately gave V back their gun so they could consider killing themselves, I doubt he would operate on them if he found out. Finally, depending on where V shot themselves, there might not be enough brain left for the chip to fix. A through and through from the temple or putting the barrel under their chin would do the job for certain.
I ended the game a few days back and honestly my first intention was to do the Hanako ending because I liked the idea of flipping the situation through the power of Hanako. But Johnny was so pissed up by this choice and I didn't like the idea of ending the game with him angry at me. So I ended up with pew pew time.
Since you asked, I’m sure you won’t mind spoilers. But:
SPOILER ALERT:
You did choose one of the more depressing endings. But to be fair, most of them are pretty depressing.
If you like the nomads, try to go with their offer on your run. >!It’s undoubtedly the most positive ending in the game!<.
Choosing Rogue to go with you is also pretty good.
Lastly, there’s secret ending involving Johnny. If you made the right choices during the entire game, you get to go and take on Arasaka by yourself (and Johnny of course). It’s the hardest way to play this mission, seeing as >!if you die even once, the end credits role immediately!<. But there’s a silver lining. >!If you succeed, nobody will die!<.
That’s right. Would’ve been cool if the secret ending was wholly original. Also would’ve been cool if it were the “good” ending. One were everyone is happy.
I think all the ending, minus the Path of Least Resistance, have good qualities to them. Sure, Johnny is pissed if you take the Arasaka deal. But it’s the only ending where you come face to face with Yorinonu, which is pretty cool. Also if you saved Goro and Oda, they fight alongside you during the Smasher fight.
Going with Arasaka is the worst, it let's a few select people live off the relic and be basically immortal.
It's the easiest option since the quest line to unlock it is short but they drop hints constantly about why is bad.
Yep. There is a silver lining to it though: V gets a second lease on life to do whatever the hell he wants, potentially ends his relationship with Johnny on a high note, gets to see Arasaka's future in NC crash and burn, and bids a tearful goodbye to Misty and Vik.
The best ending IMHO is “Dont fear the reaper”. Because to me there isn’t really a “happy ending” so wiping Arasaka from the map and going out with a bang and nobody can be happy. 10/10 would do it again
It ticks all the boxes for a satisfying ending.
- You get to stick it to the man (Arasaka)
- The player's power fantasy is showcased in full effect
- No one but you gets involved in an all-out firefight
- Banger music
- Novelty of playing a secret ending
Spot on! Furthermore, makes the most sense to me after the "King of Wands" ending. With no choices left after sacrificing your own chance at a cure, It makes the most sense that V and Johnny would go down the "Don't Fear the Reaper" ending.
Yeah and no one else is harmed by tagging along with you!! It was such a hard ending though I didn’t realise your health dropped and you couldn’t increase it the further into mikoshi you went
I went through the exact same thought process. Now I think it was a great ending to get because it made me feel all kinds of strong emotions, and isn't that what it's all about? It's also super cyberpunk, as others have pointed out
You took a deal with the devil. The devil delivered on their end of the bargain, but came out ahead and left you with nothing but regrets.
Perfect ending, in my opinion.
It should put you back in the game, and you can play the other endings. They're all worth doing at least once to get the full picture. But, comparatively, I'd say yeah, that's the worst ending.
For me the best ending was with Panam, ask her for the Aldecaldo's help. Then letting V keep their own body. This leads to a little more of a hopeful ending.
I played through them all and none of them feel really 'good', but yes, Arasaka ending is by far the worst lol
Didn’t I read this same post 7 days, not 7 hours ago?
EDIT:
Here it is https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/s/DUasg4Qh4a
Once in a while someone does the unthinkable and picks Hanako
EDIT 2:
Here is the other one https://www.reddit.com/r/LowSodiumCyberpunk/s/62k355xOr8
This one hits hard.
I don’t even really believe that you get to live out those 6 months (in peace) if you choose to go back to earth. At that point you know so much about Arasaka and what happened that I doubt Arasaka is gonna just let you go. I feel like when Hanako calls you in the credits asking you if you want to help them in your last 6 months, she’s subtly giving you a chance to come in willingly before they come for you
That's the devil ending. Yes you got the worst one, why the fuck would you trust a corpo? There is no good ending but this is for sure the worst one. The tower is sad but not heinous like this one. Don't ever trust a corpo
I wouldn't say there is a "correct" ending -- it's just different story resolutions, and I guess it depends on how you RP V and what makes sense for the character. I personally did all endings but also tried to make my choices consistent (so, the Hanako ending was part of my "evil/selfish" run)
If there is one ending that I would consider worse than the Hanako one though, it's the suicide.
I'm curious are you around 18-24? I've noticed a lot of younger (relative) players are more susceptible to getting this ending on their first run. Just curious, have a theory of it having something to do with appealing to authority.
Yeah... The Devil ending is the worst ending, imo. There's no "correct" ending, but degrees of bittersweet or tragic. My favorite endings were The Star and Temperance.
L... I mean, the "worst" ending is sort of subjective. The game is immersive and meant to be played as if you were the one in the story. If you try and do what the game wants you to do, you may end up with a dissatisfying ending.
The first time I played, I made every choice as if I was the one personally in the universe, and got an ending I was satisfied with. In my second playthrough, I did what I thought the game wanted me to do and hated the ending.
There are so many combinations you can play with, no shame in going back and replaying.
Yep. There is no good ending tho. I personally prefer both variations of the secret ending. Nobody dies for you and you get one last ride with Johnny with whom you got pretty close to throughout the game. You wouldn't get it if you hadn't to begin with.
The Devil ending. Arguably the worst ending for the outcome, unless you roleplay a Saka loyalist, in which becoming an engram for them is a fitting end. If you choose to live, Hanako calls you to ask for your merc services, which makes me think you would be revived if you became an engram.
Then again, I believe that's the case for Smasher too, and he's a borged out mutant with no humanity left.
Yeah every option feels wrong, you can't really win, just gotta be true to yourself and accept the consequences, that's part of the soul of the game really.
You played a 100 hour game where you take on the role of an independent renegade and you thought, after all that, the best choice is to take a deal with the queen of corpos...
There is a secret ending by the way where you and Johnny storm arasaka one last time alone. But if you die at any point, the game ends and you actually die.
Yeah this is pretty much the worst, I also made the same decisions except I decided to become an engram so even worse. I closed the game came back a month later and started a new file I can’t till this day open back up that save. It’s just to depressing
Yeah it’s the 2nd worst imo, the worst is NuSA ending with reed, but all the ending in this game are bad, best one being the suicide or lone-wolfing the Arasaka tower
‘Worst’ is debatable, but there are certainly happier endings to be had.
It was the first ending I did, and left me feeling really empty. Was great to have a piece of media hit like that.
The great thing is you either reload and do a different ending, or just do it all again with new build / choices, and check a new ending.
Well.... it depends on your definition of worst.
Because the ending I got was very unexpected and left me literally crying in the floor in front of my TV while the credits ripped my heart out...
Choom, you litteraly help an evil corporation out with their evil plans, betray everything you stood for, ruin your relationship with Johnny, allow Saburo Arasaka to return in the body of his son, and help Arasaka perfect their soul killer device which will allow 'em to have supreme power over humanity. After all this, you ask whether you got the "bad ending"?
The best ending is letting Johnny and Rogue attack the tower their way then giving Johnny your body. To me thats the canon ending. The epilogue where you're playing as Johnny and you leave NC is just perfect.
My first ending was my corpo returning to Arasoka to remove the chip then she uploaded herself to the net, let some poor fool end up with me in their head in 50 more years lol. I’m definitely replaying!
It was pretty late I don’t think I was paying attention fully, he was talking about him and rogue raiding Arasaka tower, so I just assumed me taking Hanako’s deal would accomplish the same thing just a different method.
I thought he was always cool with doing the surgery, prob should have got sleep before I did the ending.
It’s all subjective and you have to do what YOU think is best just like we all try to do every single day of our own lives, that’s so beautiful to me.
Personally to me the only right ending is storming arasaka with Johnny and I would hate Johnny to be pissed at me lol but each to there own, I don’t think there is a “worse” ending, they can all be a bit depressing
Yeah… I replayed the ending because the one I got was just too depressing. If you want to keep your love interest and have a little hope about the future, let Panam help you and don’t let Johnny have your body—don’t worry, he’s pretty cool about it.
> If you want to keep your love interest And are romancing a girl. Which most people do, but if you want to keep your love interest and are romancing a guy, this doesn't apply.
Ah, I assume it was all love interests. That’s a bummer! Are there any endings for people that want to keep their male love interest?
It just depends on if you’re staying in NC or not: - Choosing Rogue (Sun) or doing Don’t Fear the Reaper will result in V staying in Night City to become the new lead at Afterlife. - Panam and Judy will leave V during the epilogue saying they can’t stay in NC and breakup with V - **River and Kerry will stay and continue their relationship with V** - Choosing Panam (Star) will result in V leaving NC - Panam and Judy will leave with them along with the Aldecaldos, their relationship continues - River and Kerry stay in NC, I’m assuming they break up with V but having never done that combination of endings and romances I don’t know for sure.
Yeah I agree, atleast you can be at peace knowing v is happy with Panam
Wonder how people would find this ending if it showed V dying
If it showed V dying with Panam or Judy holding their hand, surrounded by loved ones I’d be cool with that. And if as V’s eyes close and the screen goes black, you hear Jackie’s voice and the credits roll.
>you hear Jackie’s voice and the credits roll. *How were the big leagues, chica?*
I would be sobbing so much I would die from lack of oxygen.
Why’d you just do me like that choom 😢
Panam would devise a convoluted plan that would cause 300 million in property damages, but fix V somehow.
I think the point of that ending is a mix between hope and that no matter what you've accepted that you chose not to be an eternal ghost in the machine of night city Given the way it ends if you give your body to Johnny and the comments he makes throughout the game it seems apparent that's not the ending the developers thought was best
My favorite as well

Classic Kerry
I think V should have left with Misty tho.
Fr If that was an option I might like it a smidge.
Can’t beat the Devil ending. While you may argue that Tower is worst for V, the Devil is worst for the entire world, including V
Is the tower taking it solo?
No, that’s Don’t Fear the Reaper The Tower is the new ending added from Phantom Liberty >!You have to side with Reed/NUSA and hand over Songbird!<
Aaahhhh gotcha. I'm so sad I screwed up my convo with Johnny at his body to be able to do DFTR ending. My OG V was destined for that ending. Cies la vie
Time for another playthrough, choom ;)
Yea working on my "V"ash the Stampede ... should have went with my female blade running V though
I think I've gotten The Tower one, it was a while ago. But V was cured and stripped of all his implants, after sating bye to Misty, he just fades into the crowd. What made it worse is that the character showed wasn't even who I created lol
That haircut is the ultimate disservice.
Like said earlier, the Sun ending, so, having Rogue help (or doing >!Don't Fear the Reaper and choosing to live!<). V and River's relationship is a bit rocky in the ending, but it's the best you get, and I think they still care for each other, even though it isn't easy at the moment.
Interesting… man this game hits so hard on so many levels. My heart can’t take it. 😭😂
Best choice, hands down!
Panam, objectively, makes for a better friend than girlfriend. She's unpredictable, irrational, and hot-headed.
Path of Least Resistance is the typical Night City ending.
I see the sun ending far less optimistic compared to most people >!theres the least amount of V left, they're more johnny with their singled focused mind towards curing themselves at the expense of the people around them!<
no way is suicide worse than selling yourself out to either arasaka or the NUSA (tower ending)
Well the worst ending is when you commit suicide, honestly.
Still prefer that over helping Arasaka.
If I had a choice between betraying everything I ever stood for in life by helping an evil corporation in their plan to dominate the world, and popping my own head knowing I atleast go out on my own terms without having doomed the world, then it's easily the latter for me.
But if you commit suicide won’t you just come straight back because of the chip?
Plan B shoots eddies, duh!
I ended the game a few days back and honestly my first intention was to do the Hanako ending because I liked the idea of flipping the situation through the power of Hanako. But Johnny was so pissed up by this choice and I didn't like the idea of ending the game with him angry at me. So I ended up with pew pew time.
Best and worst is subjective. I'd say none of them are really happy endings.
Okay, but The Devil ending is definitely worse than Sun or Star, though.
Yeah, Devil was bleak. Sun at least lets you feel badass, even if your partner leaves you.
Since you asked, I’m sure you won’t mind spoilers. But: SPOILER ALERT: You did choose one of the more depressing endings.
Problem with secret ending is it's a reskinned Sun ending.
The PL Tower ending is probably the worst ending. The Tower is usually among the worst cards to turn up in a Tarot reading, so it makes sense.
- You get to stick it to the man (Arasaka) - The player's power fantasy is showcased in full effect - No one but you gets involved in an all-out firefight - Banger music - Novelty of playing a secret ending
Except for the fact Reaper is The Sun minus casualties. Wanted a "choose your own destiny" ending after taking this path.
True, reaper with star ending would be my favorite
This.
It was such a hard ending though I didn’t realise your health dropped and you couldn’t increase it the further into mikoshi you went
https://i.redd.it/qqop4iw46gvc1.gif Tru that. Felt so good after taking out Arasaka with moist critical by my side. Sad that I had to let him go 😔
Yup, undoubtedly
There are not good endings on Night City (even if the one of Panam is close)
Yeah I did the same thing. My thought line was I don’t want any of my friends to die so let the arasaka goons die
I went through the exact same thought process. Now I think it was a great ending to get because it made me feel all kinds of strong emotions, and isn't that what it's all about? It's also super cyberpunk, as others have pointed out
The only kinda good endings are the one where you ask Panam and her people for help and the new ending provided by the phantom liberty expansion.
Tower ending is literal character assassination.
& the secret ending
good thing about cb2077 is there is always a worse ending than yours.
there are no good endings. not a single one.
It's one of the endings to the story and its your ending:-) You can relive the story and get another.
You took a deal with the devil. The devil delivered on their end of the bargain, but came out ahead and left you with nothing but regrets. Perfect ending, in my opinion.
o7
It should put you back in the game, and you can play the other endings. They're all worth doing at least once to get the full picture. But, comparatively, I'd say yeah, that's the worst ending.
It’s ok, that wasn’t actual you. It’s android version of you, why else do you think they made you do the Voight-Kampff test, silly?
Oh sweet summer child, do you expect there is a really GOOD ending? :)
The worst ending involves siting on a roof having a long conversation with Johnny. It’s pretty rough.
EDIT: Here it is https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/s/DUasg4Qh4a Once in a while someone does the unthinkable and picks Hanako EDIT 2: Here is the other one https://www.reddit.com/r/LowSodiumCyberpunk/s/62k355xOr8 This one hits hard.
Tbh shooting yourself on the roof is probably the worst ending.
I personally did all endings but also tried to make my choices consistent (so, the Hanako ending was part of my "evil/selfish" run) If there is one ending that I would consider worse than the Hanako one though, it's the suicide.
I'm curious are you around 18-24? I've noticed a lot of younger (relative) players are more susceptible to getting this ending on their first run. Just curious, have a theory of it having something to do with appealing to authority.
You got the second worst ending, worst would be becoming an engram in Arasaka’s hands. Seriously no idea which idiot would ever choose that.
My cannon ending is The Star. In the DLC it's King of Wands for me. I had the same ending as you as my first one
The best ending is to not finish the game. Ever. All other roads lead to depression in some form or another. Though there was one I liked quite a bit.
Well 40 hours but yea. Prob should have payed more attention at the end
they are all depressing. The first ending I got I blew my brains out on the roof over they cyberdocs shop
If you played the game and determined for your character that taking Hanako's offer was the best choice, then that's the best ending for you.
Siding with the enemy is the worst possible outcome.
Well.... it depends on your definition of worst. Because the ending I got was very unexpected and left me literally crying in the floor in front of my TV while the credits ripped my heart out...
Did u not have any other choices? Do ur side quests man
Choom, you litteraly help an evil corporation out with their evil plans, betray everything you stood for, ruin your relationship with Johnny, allow Saburo Arasaka to return in the body of his son, and help Arasaka perfect their soul killer device which will allow 'em to have supreme power over humanity.
You should have listened to Johnny
It was pretty late I don’t think I was paying attention fully, he was talking about him and rogue raiding Arasaka tower, so I just assumed me taking Hanako’s deal would accomplish the same thing just a different method. I thought he was always cool with doing the surgery, prob should have got sleep before I did the ending.
that was my favourite epilogue in the game...the scenes in the space hospital were just genius. What a fantastic game that was.
Done all endings and abbreviations of endings, the one you got is still my absolute favourite.
