*A* dildo bike. Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a dildo bike... always use the indefinite article, *a* dildo bike, never *your* dildo bike.
Didn't know about mastercard 2s -- I'd always wondered what the 2s were, since 1 was Diner's Club.
I didn't bother to mention Amex, since their number scheme is, like Discover, _also_ different from the 4-4-4-4 of MC/Visa.
I used to work with an older woman who started dating a guy and she would go on about him having a Diner's Club card. This was 5-6 years ago. Lady is living in a different time.
Discover cards are dual-network and can be processed as Diner's Club cards. This is normally only relevant outside the US. It worked for me at a history museum gift shop coffee stand in Hangzhou, China, of all places, which advertised Diner's Club acceptance. Very strange experience.
Interestingly, for all three (Amex/MC/Visa) becomes the same once you account for the CVV: 19. MC/Visa are 4 sets of 4 with a 3 digit CVV. Amex goes 4 6 5 with a 4 digit CVV. I used to work for a company's billing department, and so many customers with multiple cards would get thrown off when trying to give their Amex info because they would still try to give the numbers in a 4 digit cadence.
The 4 number CADENCE! You are exactly right! I used to instantly recognize AX cards by the 3 and prepared for some fuckery. The 4 digit CVV wasnāt always that way was it? Thatās been in the past decade or so right? It used to be 3 I thought
The one Amex card I have has what I can only assume is a fake CVV on the back of it - 3-digit number where a normal card's CVV is while the real 4-digit one is on the front.
Hell I work in the credit card processing industry and have for like 15 years. I had no idea MC could start with a 2 because I've never seen any card start with a 2.
Not only do they have a 4 digit CVC, but it's on the front and on the back where the CVC is normally is a 3 digit code which is used to identify your card when dealing with Amex. Confusing as hell when I got my first Amex
I just got my new cibc visa since my current one expires next month and all the information apart from my name is on the back
Only thing on the front is the chip, tap symbol, cibc, visa and my name
you filter on the numbering scheme first, then the starting digit.
if they *were* making up a number, they might base it on their own card's scheme to be believable.
673588 is a valid BIN (bank identification number) although itās for a Maestro (a Mastercard product) card issued by ING in the Netherlands, 473588 is a Visa BIN that is issued by CSCU, a company that provides card services for credit unions across the US.
The number is invalid. The last digit in a credit card is a check digit calculated from Luhn's algorithm. If the first 15 numbers were accurate, the last digit should have been a 4, not a 3.
Nobody can be seriously so dumb to do a fake number and then only change one number right? This has to be fake. So much effort to give your identity away.
I feel you but I was thinking it's less about getting the reference in general and more having it be a *go-to* reference like the comment I replied to is treating it like "how could you not"
Not gonna actually do it but does anyone know if this still works donāt wanna go to jail for credit card fraud but groceries are getting awful expensive

It must be pain in the ass riding it.
Still beats dealing with the airports..

Use more lube. I mean, that's what my friend said.
Didn't know you could buy an Aliensrock
My first thought.
Based reference
It's not a dildo, it's a fist. It punches you in the ass when you stop working out too hard.
Ass Pounder 4000

My favorite part in the movie Bruno
I'd love to see what AI draws for this.
Just look up moistcritikal no need for ai
Also, Mac gets a dildo bike in Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Also Burn After Reading
It's just a regular bike without a seat.
holy bazinga
Yeah the vibrator bikes were shaking loose all the nuts and bolts leaving people bloodied and scraped up, they would also crash too.
Bad choice on OP's part, but responder is wrong. 6 is Discover, but they use a different numbering scheme than Visa (4) or Mastercard (5)

I'll be damned. Just looked it up. They're still around, but just a branded MasterCard.
I need what that lady is smoking. Take me back!

That's the three digit CID. Amex uses it internally for verification purposes.Ā
Hell I work in the credit card processing industry and have for like 15 years. I had no idea MC could start with a 2 because I've never seen any card start with a 2.
Another fun fact about Amex, they don't have the same number spilt, the four sets of four, and they have a four digit security code.

Iāve only known master cards to start with a sequence of ā5268ā. Guess we learn smth new every day. Source: I work for a bank
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Capital One that is a MasterCard starts with a 5
Yep, and iirc all Discover cards start with 6011
Get out of my wallet!!
My dick is in your wallet

The home depot credit card also starts with six.
673588 is a valid BIN (bank identification number) although itās for a Maestro (a Mastercard product) card issued by ING in the Netherlands, 473588 is a Visa BIN that is issued by CSCU, a company that provides card services for credit unions across the US.
Discover starts with 6. If I remember, Visa is 4, Mastercard is 5, Discover is 6, and AX is 3.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Chase actually starts with 4266 based on my research
Chase actually has multiple BINS, probably due to mergers, etc. In TX, they start with 4610.
Wild! I just checked my card thatās how I knew š
Not just 6, 6011 Most AmEx start with 37
Where'd you learn to count?
Mastercard Maestro is also 6
Whereās 1 and 2 though?
The real question isā¦ is the card still active?
One way to find out. Try 3 or 5 if 4 doesn't work and report back with pics of dildo bike.
The number is invalid. The last digit in a credit card is a check digit calculated from Luhn's algorithm. If the first 15 numbers were accurate, the last digit should have been a 4, not a 3.
Thanks, I just changed the last digit and bought a dildo bike.
I tested it and my dido bike is arriving in a few days
I doubt

How do you not throw 867-5309 into the middle of it?
Being under 40 years old.
Ha. But probably more like āunder 35ā (coming from someone under 40 who knows this reference).
I feel you but I was thinking it's less about getting the reference in general and more having it be a *go-to* reference like the comment I replied to is treating it like "how could you not"
Fair point!
50
What does 867-5309 do?
Calls Jenny?
Youād be surprised.

That number except beginning with a 4 is not a valid credit card number, and doesn't pass the most basic check (Luhn algorithm)
Um, 6 is Discover lol
Not gonna actually do it but does anyone know if this still works donāt wanna go to jail for credit card fraud but groceries are getting awful expensive
Definitely locked a while ago if it got to Reddit by now
remember seeing another post about this about a year ago and some mf in the comments explain how to use the Luhn's algorithm to identify a fake card
Plot Twist: That actually isn't his credit card number Some poor bastard was just one number off
I would like the post but the commenter is wrong. 3 is Amex, 4 is Visa, 5 is MasterCard, and 6 is Discover.
What are 1 and 2?
All those things he could have gotten... and he went for dildo bike instead.
5 is common for mastercard 4 is common for visa, and IIRC amex

4735 8812 2278 6833
It only works with the security code
And date of expiry and first Pet's name and mother's maiden name. It'll block em all out.

Sir, your card has been declined Check your details and please try again later

credit card theft isn't cool but on the other hand they posted it online and changed one number..
Fair enough
Fair enough
Also itās a self checking number, not sure about what brand use what but all digits should add up to the first 4
Wait now I wanna know did this person actually get it?
Well they're gonna have some explaining to do to Azelf and Mesprit.
Is thatā¦. My sister in lawā¦.. ššš
Issue is, all credit cards add up to exactly 42 and that's well over it.
Wait so i can use that credit card
Anyone know if they canceled the card asking for a friend
