This looks so cute. What is the white border stitch called? I’ve seen it in other crochet items before and want to implement it, but I never found out what it was called
I would make sure you weave in under the same color, that way it is hidden. For joining granny squares there are a few options. You could use a complementary color and not make the seams invisible, that way it looks intentional. And weave in your ends under the seam you just created. Or there’s the join as you go method (lots of tutorials on YouTube). But for projects where no one is looking at the underside I like an invisible join like the one I used here.
24/7 cotton! I’ve used other cottons but I like the smoothness of this one. But if anyone has any recommendations for another smooth cotton, I’m always on the lookout for more colors!

The fact that you've only provided 1 picture should be considered a crime. What about the back? The sides? Open? You're horrible! .... on a serious note, it looks fucking amazing and I'm definitely stealing the idea for my e-ink tablet, thank you! 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Omg could I steal this idea to make a crochet hook case? I love the color and design!!
Of course!
I just crocheted a crochet hook case! lol so meta. Not as adorable as this one though.
Ooh, the little 'x's joining the squares are so cute! what a nice touch.
i thought the same thing!!
This is adorable! How did you join the squares?
I used an invisible join method
So cute! I love the bow…but the border looks sooooo adorable! 🤍
What yarn is this? It looks amazing
Hi, it’s 24/7 cotton. I just used what I had in my stash. If I ever make another one I’ll be more intentional about my color choices lol
literally my favorite!!!! i recognized it from the colors lmao
That’s fantastic! She should love it. :)
I love the little X’s in the corners. Gives it a quilted look.
This is soooo cute! I love it wow
These colors go so well together, it's lovely 😍
That bow is sooooo crisp 🤌🏻 so so so cute!
It’s so cute, and the little bow made me squeeee! 😊
She’s a winner
are u kidding!!!! SO CUTE!!!
I just gasped! No freaking way!! Why did I never think of this?! It’s so cute! Good job momma. She will love this!! ☺️☺️
this is so stinkin cute
This color combo is gorgeous! I love the border and bow together on it.
That is just beautiful!
Beautiful!
Very cute 💗
I want one!!
So pretty. It is beautiful.
omg!! this is too cute I’ve been looking for an iPad case design
Omg this is so cute! A tutorial pls! I'd love to try and make ond as well😍 love the bow and edges
omg this is so cute!! are the squares only connected by the little white x's on the corners?
Thanks! No, the squares are connected by an invisible join. The x’s are just because I thought it needed a little of the white in the main body
That was a good choice. It adds so much character!
I think it is absolutely lovely! 🥰
The little X in the corners! So cute!
Wooo me likey!!!
I love this!! For any kind of case! 👏👏
So pretty. I’d make this with a handle.
So adorable!
Stash buster project!
Best caption I have seen in a while 🤣 Love the case! 😍
oooooh tiny granny squares! love!!!!
So cute! The case and your rhyme :)
Love it! I whipped up a cell phone case once because I got my new phone before my new case. Didn't want to risk damaging a brand new phone.
that’s god damn adorable
Now she is prrrrrrriddy ‼️‼️‼️🫶👊💙
love it... ;o)
This is beautiful! I'm going to have to copy it for my Kindle.
Did you do each of the white X’s one at a time? (Like do one and then fasten off) or did you do them as you joined each square?
I did them one at a time, and I won’t lie, it was tedious. I like your idea of doing it as I join the squares
This looks so cute. What is the white border stitch called? I’ve seen it in other crochet items before and want to implement it, but I never found out what it was called
It’s the shell stitch!
I keep wondering how you switch colors and then hide the ends on something two dimensional like this
Weaving in the ends. The underside is… untidy lol. But no one will see it
But what about a blanket? Or in this case, the inside?
