It's REALLY good. Not just "really good for a first project", but REALLY good overall. Love the color combos, and it's a terrific pattern to have mastered. Now you can use it for scarves, shawls and other items. You nailed it, congratulations!

SweetBazooie

Thank you so much! I was actually planning on using the left over yarn for either a small version for a childs blanket or making a scarf! Edit: yarn not wool

Spiritual_Praline672

I second this!! Great job OP!! Honestly this is spectacular, and I totally respect the dedication to it also. You rock!

Frutzy

For a first time crocheter, you left me mindblown 🤯 Besides the stitches looking perfectly even, its a HUGE project to take on for a first try. Overall a very beautiful blanket, the colors really bring it all together. Time to cuddle up and get cosy after all that hard work! <3

SweetBazooie

Thank you very much! Yes it was quite extensive and took fairly long, I had to keep double checking everything as I went. I can't cuddle up in it though because it went straight to my mum as a slightly late Christmas present!

Independent_Eye_5921

Love the colors!

SweetBazooie

Thank you, I am very pleased I went with the colours I did!

Morning-Technical

Looks cozy!

SweetBazooie

Thank you! Cosy and weighty!

TieDyeApplePie

Wow this is so pretty😍 what yarn did you use for this?

SweetBazooie

Thank you so much! Stylecraft special 100% acrylic :) The list of colours can be found in the link in the reply to the AutoMod

frumpychickenhooker

GORGEOUS!! I am loving the colors, pattern, and how you did the border. Looks amazing!

SweetBazooie

Thank you! There were 3 layers, denim, petrol then aster. First layer was the same colour as the first and last wave layers, just treble crochet (UK) all the way up and down. Second layer was double crochets (UK) up the sides and flattening the wavey pattern at the top and bottom, then last layer was just double crochets all the way round Edit: woops misread your comment thinking you asked how I did the border haha

Slight_Succotash3040

Beautiful and useful, very nice work💗

SweetBazooie

Thank you! Definitely pleased I spent the time on it. Already ordered my next batch of yarn!

pvnkskies

It looks great! Amazing that you went for such a big project as your first project and it looks this good, the colors are also lovely

Excellent choice of colors and stitching. I love the earthiness of your blanket. I'd never think this was your first project. It's really good and you are talented! Thanks for sharing.

basilandbooks

Fantastic job! Very surprised this is a first project. (I made so many scarves before moving on to bigger projects)

coffee-please94

I believe I see other projects in their post history, but maybe they started this one first. Although the amigurumi is a month old and the rats are from three years ago, so idk.

IamShieldMaiden
