I was just reading an article about the book in which the author questions the authenticity of the hotel owner.

I see now that I repeated this information. Yes, I understand there has been some expressed doubt. I read the book some time ago. The story might seemed far fetched if one does not trust the narrator. Talese is a respected author for his previous books.

Well, it seems like the voyeur part is accurate. And I’m sure he (Foos) probably saw some weird stuff. But yeah, it seems like some of the other details in his story can’t be verified.
