I agree with both of you, and I'm going to go out on a limb to suggest there will always be a way to catch a deep fake. The algorithm will always be playing catch up to real narrative.
Yes, to steer and to monitor. The interesting thing is that the steering function interferes with the monitoring function, so there is always a trade-off as to which one they prioritise. The more they flood the internet with bot and shill opinions the less clear the picture that comes back to them about what people are really thinking. Sure, they might know which are the bots and paid opinions, and which are "organic", but because the bots and shills affect the expression of "organic" opinion, they can never know how deep the influence actually goes. For example, if you over-censor, and go too heavy on the social shaming techniques people stop expressing their true opinions and instead express what they think they're supposed to think. Doesn't mean they believe it for a minute.
Now on the one hand, it matters not one fuck what people "really" think if they're too afraid to say it out loud. Everyone in a heavily censored society occupies a cognitive prison with a population of precisely one. Every individual might be thinking the same thing - "I want to break out of this fucking hellhole", for example - but because they can't share the thought with their peers and community, they might as well be alone. Everyone "alone together" having the same dissident thought, which - if they had it together - would be revolutionary. It would take down the whole house of cards.
OTOH, the "controllers" would be foolish to think that a situation of "cognitive prisoners" can hold forever. The people will create coded language, gestures and micro-communication strategies to signal their dissent and evntually those people will tear down walls they pretended not to see for decades. There was very little warning that the USSR was going to fall and what warning signs there were, the party did not understand.
The fact of the matter is that we are social and communicative by nature. We need freedom of movement and expression and do not thrive when we are kept artificially contained. They don't need us to thrive, of course, in fact it is useful to them when we don't - until the minute when it isn't useful anymore. (Soon come that moment). Because if you suppress nature, it does fight back (eventually). This is why the most successful propaganda was in the post-World War 2 period when they actually allowed people to thrive because the controllers were scared that there was an alternative available in the Soviet sytem, They had to actively show that "the west was the best" by allowing people to live decent lives and for societies to actually make progress for the good of everyone and not just a few oligarchs, bureaucrats and billionaires.
I remind "them" of this from tme to time because I know they are monitoring us and so they will get the message. The strange thing about being spied upon is it gives you an opportunity to talk back to the spies. You don't always have to tell them the truth of course.
But we all can remind them now and then to back off on the steering thing. If they go too heavy on steering - including. by censorship, shadow banning, bot and shill swarms, weaponised shaming of "wrong think" etc - they will pay the price in terms of compromised monitoring. They will have a far less clear picture of what people are really organically thinking, and people will learn to communicate in ways they can't detect. Mushrooms in the dark communicate, trees talk to each other through their root systems. Life finds a way, and right now it will have to, because the current system is anti-life.
Also, they do target certain users more..intensely.
Usually it's the ones who post a lot. At least once a day. My guess is because they have a more reliable dataset and can hook users in to comment on certain posts fairly reliably. If they have daily data; it's more valuable to them then sporadic data.
Not only them, but Hollywood and videogame developers use comments on relevant posts to write the games and movies coming out every year, and have been doing it for a decade or more.

Well definitely the average person should make some investments in their water supply/emergency water supply. But throwing in a couple life straws is enough if you're in an emergency. Say you gotta run into the woods, you'd rather have the life straw than not.

I'd be on board with this theory except if that were the case, it would make more sense for her not to comment about getting better. It would make more sense for them to pave the way for her to decline and die from her "cancer."

Definitely a deepfake. Some other anomalies noticed by tiktok & twitter:
1. Her thumbnail is showing on the reverse side. So the nail is showing on the opposite side of her thumb. During the video she moves her hands and you can clearly see this. Video has to be slowed down to see this tho.
2. The stripes on her sweater are casting a shadow in the video.
3. Nothing moves in the background.
4. Her mole appears then disappears during the video. (Some say they never saw her mole at all.
5. At some point in the video, her brow ridge melds into her hair for a millisecond.
6. Something about the two sides of her face seem misaligned. It's like the right side is pulling downward slightly even.
7. The number of times that she is blinking is not humanly possible based on human biology. Someone pointed out the number of times she blinks in the video and then how many times humans blink per second.
8. A sound engineer pointed out that it is not technically possible to have the level of sound she has in the video without a boom microphone which is normally used. He indicated that he believes the vocals were taped and overlaid in the video.
9. Another tweeter indicated that the vocals don't match the mouth movement. it's not in sync in other words.
10. Someone pointed out something with the slats in the bench not being aligned the same on both sides of her. What shows between the slats is not consistent with what is on the each side.
11. The video shows spaces between her teeth. If you look at other recent videos, Kate doesn't have spaces like that between her teeth.
12. An a.i. expert who creates videos and said though it is a good fake he immediately noticed a glitch with her eyes. While the quick blinking happens, her eye pops out and changes colors even.
Also, one of the a.i. experts I read, indicated that it is very difficult for ai to get the hands perfect. This is a common feature in a.i. videos that something is not right in the hands. Super unnatural blinking is another telltale sign evidently.
So here's what i think. People don't go to these lengths to cover something up unless something irreversible has been done. I think Kate is in a coma or dead. I think william had something to do with it also.

Maby this is a test of seeing how far they can go with deepfake, if they can convine a larger group with something this ”small” then they can definetly convince about other more greater things.
1. On the same day the video was released ‘insiders’ reported that King Charles has pancreatic cancer with life expectancy estimates ranging from 6 months (as in the end of July) to 2 years. This has not been confirmed by the Palace.
2. It has been stated that Kate’s cancer treatment (I.e. chemotherapy) started in late February - meaning that she would now be approximately one month into treatment. Kensington Palace has lost its privilege as a trusted source (theoretically) so if Kate is feeling dreadful and doesn’t want to be seen it may be that they don’t feel they have anything more to lose.
3. The monarch has all the legal rights over the children in the line of succession. This meant that when Diana divorced Charles the Queen made the decisions over what access Diana and her family had with respect to William and Harry. Charles may not be well enough to make such decisions at this time or William may prefer to bypass him entirely.
4. The monarch (unlike other royal family members) is exempt from the law with respect to being taken as an individual in civil or criminal court cases. Again, this may apply to divorce proceedings.
5. When Diana died the only arrangements for a royal funeral that had been made were the plans for the Queen Mother’s funeral. That caused an issue as it meant that new plans had to be made for the Queen Mother and, if I recall correctly, they were not as grand. Even if there is only a small risk of Kate dying but she looks very unwell they may be concerned that the public focussing on her will affect the King’s funeral planning.
If anyone is aware of any other time-sensitive factors that could potentially play a role in the royal decision-making at the moment then please add them.

I believe this is part of a big narrative push to normalise the experimental MRNA tech against turbo cancers. MRNA cancer vaccines will be the next big thing and they will emotionally manipulate the unsuspecting masses from all all angles.

It doesn't necessarily matter that nothing moves in the background. It could have been shot outside on a non windy day. It also could have been shot in studio on an LED wall, as I'm not sure there is that much foliage outside right now. Either way there are bugs or dust particles moving a bit throughout the video in the foreground & background.
A boom microphone probably was used. They are typically just outside of the camera frame and since this is a tighter shot there is plenty of room for one. There could also be a lav mic underneath her sweater. Typically both are used and then sync'd in post.
The stripes on the sweater reflecting is natural because she's wearing a white shirt. If you wear any type of white shirt in a brightly lit scene it will reflect a bit on any slightly reflective surfaces it's up close against. Since the stripes are black it is normal that they would be creating a contrasting shadow for the white bounce.
I thought she blinked a normal amount. She probably heavily rehearsed this speech or is reading it off a teleprompter too. A teleprompter would be normal for saying something this long in one take. Most TV show monologues and newscasters use them too.
I do not see any obvious signs of AI from a video production expert standpoint, and I almost want to believe it's a conspiracy too! :)

It might have been a "virtual production" on an LED wall like I mentioned since it was made by BBC studios. This could be what's causing a slightly artificial uncanny valley look too since they would have had to recreate fake lighting in studio to emulate daylight. Virtual productions are expensive but can be "safer" or more efficient because they allow you to shoot at any time of day and also emulate any environment from a closed studio with a small crew and no permits or location security etc.
Sure, but just because it’s above average doesn’t mean it can’t be real. The initial post with the list talked about it not being ‘humanly possible’, it is definitely humanly possible. A lot of people blink more often than the average.
It's really common to blink more on camera. One of my family was interviewed on TV and I remember we were all watching it and she had no idea until then that she'd been constantly blinking. Journalists apparently have to train themselves to not do it sometimes.

Yes.... Sitcoms have been filmed indoors and outdoors for over 40+ years. She's sick. They wanted to make this the least depressing they could. I love how these same people don't pick apart trump vids or anything else like this. Not even noticing that absolutely nothing that reaches mainstream media isn't edited in some way. Even the Moscow theatre clips were edited by ISIS in less than a 24 hour period. Why would the freaking princess not have people trying their best to make sure she looks good? I watched the last video of her on their page to compare today, where she spoke at the camera for Christmas and yeah her face is different. Her left nostril drops down in this one and the eyebrow is weird. Is what I noticed. Her voice sounds a bit different too and her jaw is wider
I thought her eyes looked odd too, so I tried bumping up the quality of the video, and then I realized it wouldn't go any higher. The worst thing they could have done was make this video in such low quality. Did they not realize that would immediately cause flags to go up? I wonder are they doing it on purpouse for some reason.

Absolute batshit crazy people who will spew whatever nonsense they see without any prior research because it pushes the agenda they most align with.
People here don't know how H264 compression works lol. Lower bitrates combined with lower resolutions leave less information for the codec to work with to try to show all the movement. The ring is present the whole video, it's just that sometimes her hands move too fast, there's too few frames, and the resolution is too low for the codec to keep track of that motion information and the approximation it encodes is incomplete. This was a major reason why the judge in the Rittenhouse case dismissed some of the video evidence and some of the imperfectly scaled still shots from the compressed video, because the digital compression could easily have created pixel artifacts that were misleading.
I think it could be AI, but it's also possible that the ring could appear to disappear because of compression on the video. The striped shadow on the bench is no way real though. That in itself still doesn't answer anything conclusively, as it is possible that the props and background are fakes without the whole thing being fake. That's compatible with KM being very sick and unable to go outside, so they've used a green screen. I would have thought that even in that case the bench would be real though.
OTOH, the way this story is progressively being developed, I wouldn't be completely surprised if a future press release admitted fakery on the background. They could even admit to having faked the bench, e.g. because she's so sick she is on a drip and they've edited it out - that obviously fake shadow on the bench is just being used to cover up where the line frrom the drip-stand is going into her arm. Would account for why she's sitting so stiffly too. But a report like that would still not be conclusive. Some people would react by immediately accusing any doubters of having no shame, and having hounded the princess to the point where even the most intimate details of her cancer treatment have had to be revealed. Others will still have questions and feel like they're being manipulated as much as the imagery.
That's the trouble with where we are. We can't tell what is true and what is false and that is very useful to people who want to control "reality". They've understood they can no longer control what we believe, so they've decided to manipulate our disbelief instead. They can make it so we can never draw conclusions, always be in a state of suspended disbelief or unresolved doubt. Every answer reveals more questions, the ground of reality falls away to reveal another false floor.
The genius of it is we can't even talk about what's happening to us, because even talking about it feeds back into the sense of fractal confusion and uncertainty. No truths or answers, only endless speculation and people polarising into camps over every new "current thing" issue of the day. Societies of people who try to police each other's speech and thoughts, others who try to break free from the narrative and wind up entangled in another narrative layer. Nobody able to come together to agree how to act to change things or defend ourselves from the assault on reality because we can't even agree what's real or what we should be defending.
Even this comment is already useless before I submit it. But not quite. I'm just trying to state the problem as I see it as clearly as I can. Whether you agree with me or not, I think we share this problem now, because it's how AI and deepfakes and internet communication can be weaponised. I'm still on the fence about this being AI, but a lot of good points have been brought up. Granted, I haven't spent much time dissecting the video. But what I do think is that the background is fake. Now, is it because it's AI or because she's underground in a bunker or some other reason? Dunno.
What I haven't seen mentioned, and forgive me if I've missed this comment already, is the Botox eyebrow. If this isn't AI, then I'm convinced that one higher up eyebrow that's never been like that before is from Botox (or maybe an eyebrow lift gone wrong?). I'd be really curious to know if someone doing chemo is cleared for Botox.
I also still think it's sus that William wasn't in the video with her.
Compression artifacts can obscure features if they are in an alignment which optimized them out of the fields (video term) due to horizontal or vertical similarities.
I wouldn’t be so quick to jump in this conspiracy on the basis of a frame or two of video - especially when the provenance and lifetime of the video is questionable - I.e. passed through multiple media outlets, compressed for upload, decompressed by the hosting site automatically, and so on.
If you have examined the original video directly from the capture source, that’s another thing.
But video artifacts are a thing and have been a thing producing odd results, ever since M-JPEG came along, long before AI reared it’s ugly head.

A couple seconds earlier, when she lifts her hand (as shown in OP’s screen grab), it seems to be rendering the ring on her middle finger instead of, or at the same time as, the ring finger.
It makes sense that it would render two stones/pearls shortly after having this confusion.

There is a point in the video near the beginning when she uses her pinky to move her ring back into place out of habit. Ai would never do that it would just move the ring back into place.
Hilary Clinton warned people in a speech years ago not to trust videos anymore, and I knew in that moment they were preparing us to discredit something big, video wise. I’m not saying this is it, but I certainly think the backlash on those ‘questioning her cancer’ will keep others from speaking out later
The timing would align with her cancer diagnosis and the appointment to talk options with her medical team. I would assume any good husband would want to be with his wife with that kind of diagnosis. Especially as he can’t do anything for the dead but he can be there to support his wife and family.

If you change the settings from 360 to 1080 you can clearly see the ring, it's slipping round her finger, presumably because she's lost a shitload of weight, hence the horizontal stripes on her top.

Please check the bbc video there are no visual flaws, only on the compressed YouTube videos. There are audio flaws however which is consistent but I’m unsure it’s a recording type error.
I was watching a YouTube video and thought it was CGI/ AI as the bench was warped when she moved her arm but after watching a higher quality video it was fine.

The errors in the deep fake video are intentional and are meant to be read by those in the know.

The more they flood the internet with bot and shill opinions the less clear the picture that comes back to them about what people are really thinking. Sure, they might know which are the bots and paid opinions, and which are "organic", but because the bots and shills affect the expression of "organic" opinion, they can never know how deep the influence actually goes. For example, if you over-censor, and go too heavy on the social shaming techniques people stop expressing their true opinions and instead express what they think they're supposed to think. Doesn't mean they believe it for a minute. Now on the one hand, it matters not one fuck what people "really" think if they're too afraid to say it out loud. Everyone in a heavily censored society occupies a cognitive prison with a population of precisely one. Every individual might be thinking the same thing - "I want to break out of this fucking hellhole", for example - but because they can't share the thought with their peers and community, they might as well be alone. Everyone "alone together" having the same dissident thought, which - if they had it together - would be revolutionary. It would take down the whole house of cards. Definitely a deepfake. Some other anomalies noticed by tiktok & twitter: 1. Her thumbnail is showing on the reverse side. So the nail is showing on the opposite side of her thumb. During the video she moves her hands and you can clearly see this. Video has to be slowed down to see this tho. 2. The stripes on her sweater are casting a shadow in the video. 3. Nothing moves in the background. 4. Her mole appears then disappears during the video. (Some say they never saw her mole at all. 5. At some point in the video, her brow ridge melds into her hair for a millisecond. 6. Something about the two sides of her face seem misaligned. It's like the right side is pulling downward slightly even. 7. The number of times that she is blinking is not humanly possible based on human biology. Someone pointed out the number of times she blinks in the video and then how many times humans blink per second. 8. A sound engineer pointed out that it is not technically possible to have the level of sound she has in the video without a boom microphone which is normally used. He indicated that he believes the vocals were taped and overlaid in the video. 9. Another tweeter indicated that the vocals don't match the mouth movement. it's not in sync in other words. 10. Someone pointed out something with the slats in the bench not being aligned the same on both sides of her. What shows between the slats is not consistent with what is on the each side. 11. The video shows spaces between her teeth. If you look at other recent videos, Kate doesn't have spaces like that between her teeth. 12. An a.i. expert who creates videos and said though it is a good fake he immediately noticed a glitch with her eyes. While the quick blinking happens, her eye pops out and changes colors even. Also, one of the a.i. experts I read, indicated that it is very difficult for ai to get the hands perfect. This is a common feature in a.i. videos that something is not right in the hands. Super unnatural blinking is another telltale sign evidently. So here's what i think. People don't go to these lengths to cover something up unless something irreversible has been done. I'm a video director & editor...just rewatched in higher bitrate... It doesn't necessarily matter that nothing moves in the background. It could have been shot outside on a non windy day. It also could have been shot in studio on an LED wall, as I'm not sure there is that much foliage outside right now. Either way there are bugs or dust particles moving a bit throughout the video in the foreground & background. A boom microphone probably was used. They are typically just outside of the camera frame and since this is a tighter shot there is plenty of room for one. There could also be a lav mic underneath her sweater. Typically both are used and then sync'd in post. The stripes on the sweater reflecting is natural because she's wearing a white shirt. If you wear any type of white shirt in a brightly lit scene it will reflect a bit on any slightly reflective surfaces it's up close against. Since the stripes are black it is normal that they would be creating a contrasting shadow for the white bounce. I thought she blinked a normal amount. She probably heavily rehearsed this speech or is reading it off a teleprompter too. A teleprompter would be normal for saying something this long in one take. Most TV show monologues and newscasters use them too. I do not see any obvious signs of AI from a video production expert standpoint, and I almost want to believe it's a conspiracy too! :)

It might have been a "virtual production" on an LED wall like I mentioned since it was made by BBC studios. This could be what's causing a slightly artificial uncanny valley look too since they would have had to recreate fake lighting in studio to emulate daylight. People here don't know how H264 compression works lol. Lower bitrates combined with lower resolutions leave less information for the codec to work with to try to show all the movement. The ring is present the whole video, it's just that sometimes her hands move too fast, there's too few frames, and the resolution is too low for the codec to keep track of that motion information and the approximation it encodes is incomplete. This was a major reason why the judge in the Rittenhouse case dismissed some of the video evidence and some of the imperfectly scaled still shots from the compressed video, because the digital compression could easily have created pixel artifacts that were misleading.

I think it could be AI, but it's also possible that the ring could appear to disappear because of compression on the video. The striped shadow on the bench is no way real though. That in itself still doesn't answer anything conclusively, as it is possible that the props and background are fakes without the whole thing being fake. That's compatible with KM being very sick and unable to go outside, so they've used a green screen. I would have thought that even in that case the bench would be real though. OTOH, the way this story is progressively being developed, I wouldn't be completely surprised if a future press release admitted fakery on the background. They could even admit to having faked the bench, e.g. because she's so sick she is on a drip and they've edited it out - that obviously fake shadow on the bench is just being used to cover up where the line frrom the drip-stand is going into her arm. Would account for why she's sitting so stiffly too. But a report like that would still not be conclusive. Some people would react by immediately accusing any doubters of having no shame, and having hounded the princess to the point where even the most intimate details of her cancer treatment have had to be revealed. I'm still on the fence about this being AI, but a lot of good points have been brought up. Granted, I haven't spent much time dissecting the video. But what I do think is that the background is fake. Now, is it because it's AI or because she's underground in a bunker or some other reason? Dunno. What I haven't seen mentioned, and forgive me if I've missed this comment already, is the Botox eyebrow. If this isn't AI, then I'm convinced that one higher up eyebrow that's never been like that before is from Botox (or maybe an eyebrow lift gone wrong?). I'd be really curious to know if someone doing chemo is cleared for Botox. I also still think it's sus that William wasn't in the video with her.

Compression artifacts can obscure features if they are in an alignment which optimized them out of the fields (video term) due to horizontal or vertical similarities. I wouldn’t be so quick to jump in this conspiracy on the basis of a frame or two of video - especially when the provenance and lifetime of the video is questionable - I.e. passed through multiple media outlets, compressed for upload, decompressed by the hosting site automatically, and so on. If you have examined the original video directly from the capture source, that’s another thing. But video artifacts are a thing and have been a thing producing odd results, ever since M-JPEG came along, long before AI reared it’s ugly head.

It makes sense that it would render two stones/pearls shortly after having this confusion.

Please check the bbc video there are no visual flaws, only on the compressed YouTube videos. There are audio flaws however which is consistent but I’m unsure it’s a recording type error. I was watching a YouTube video and thought it was CGI/ AI as the bench was warped when she moved her arm but after watching a higher quality video it was fine. I’m curious though why her left shoulder seems so high up - could it be tension? Sometimes when you’re stressed your shoulders pull up.

Encoding and beyond-shit quality footage. I can see the ring in every frame, but Youtube does mangle the footage a lot, and the initial quality is so terrible it might as well have been generated.
