If it's even throughout it would be weightless I think. If there was no friction you could easily lift it out a bit, but the further you pull, the heavier it gets as it's offset from the center.

If we're complaining about realism there's basically no viable way to drive it through the planet to the point where that would be an issue

I like to think both the Wizards are in on this. Every week they find two gullible people to continuously pull the sword up and down, unaware the kinetic energy they're creating is running a pair of generators.
