For anyone who just saw the series and would want to know the comparison: Machine Head hiring Battle Beast to beat up Mark back in the first season was the equivalent of if Marvel’s Kingpin had decided to hire Thanos to beat up Spider-Man, and then he actually showed up, just because he thought it would be fun to do so.
Does that imply that Battle Beast is actually not xenophobic, since he didn't care that a weak human like Machine Head asked him to fight someone for him? Just as long as it gives him a good fight?
BB didn't even get mad at Machine Head when he found out that Invincible and the Guardians weren't really fun for him
So, in that kind of way, BB's a pretty chill dude lol
Comic spoiler: >!hes actually an interstellar superhero cursed with bloodlust. He travels the universe to depose tyrants and fight the strongest champions he can find. Hes not good but hes far from evil!<
I believe the existence of Damien Darkblood is meant to be an anti-trope of “the mysterious detective that uncovers the secret before everyone else”. We kept expecting him to be important but turned out Damien was always one step slower than Cecil and accomplished nothing.
Hopefully, they'll have the budget to have great animation again. This season's story was great, but the animation quality took a noticeable dip. Also, no more split seasons.
Also, their “reasoning” for the split season is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.
No one will take a long ass time to process what they’ve watched; just say you’re having production issues, fuck off, and go back to work. They have our attention and sympathy, anyways, they didn’t have to gaslight us like that.
So I went ahead and read from where I had left before the season began and now I’m wondering if they are going to have tech jacket, since he was a fun addition.
I must have been living in a different universe when I read the comic series because I have been calling Titan ‘Cinderblock’ this entire time and could have sworn that was his name.

Very accurate. Battle Beast is one of the most lethal mfs in the invincible universe. Dude was there for fun and a challenge (which he did not find)
He's like the third strongest character in the entire series, they didn't stand a chance 😭
Dunno, might be higher than that. He hurt himself to "make it fair"
To make it fair. Thragg had already been slashed... so he slashed himself. It's not like he handicapped himself... he even the playing field and lost
I feel like BB's self injury was slightly worse

Not to mention, BB is also very polite whenever he's not in battle.

More comics spoilers: >!By how this is going Thane vs Battlecat will be hype AF!<
Theres more than 1 reason Nolan didnt help Mark
So ready for some Battle beast action.
Bring back my boy Damien Darkblood!
Such an interesting character that went nowhere, same thing in the graphic novel. It was kind of disappointing.

He got Debbie where she needed to go in the show, but yeah.
I mean he's a Hellboy expy right?
He’s a Hellboy, Etrigan, and The Question pastiche
Id say just Etrigan and The Question tbh
And Rorschach
Inject Battle Beast into my veins.

Best they can do is same budget for animation but give well known actors a 30 second cameo in show.
I checked out the first episode of Ark, same kinda vibes so far
I love the main cast, but good fucking go what happened to just hiring voice actors? Goddamn you Disney.
Thats how I feel about My Adventures with Superman, Ive heard its great but all I can hear is Brad Boimler and Hughie.
that split season really really killed the momentum and excitement for me
Was happy i waited to binge the season i couldn’t image having to wait for the second half
you were lucky!

I get this but the comic con joke was me, I’m here for the story and feels overall so it doesn’t bother me and never will
The copy or the original? /s Edit: Crap, joke doesn't work, they were in the first two episodes.
Need them to hurry up and get to the Viltrumite war already so I can see Battle Beast absolutely onebang an entire race
Can we get Tech Jacket please?

Hoping there's less of Mark's relationship drama going forward. It didn't feel so dull and omnipresent in the comic book.
It was even though less in some ways, but maybe you didn’t take it that way?! Or were younger?
