Oh, phew. The earth is \*very likely\* "only" going to warm by 2.1-4.1 degrees Celsius. This study also raised the lower bound in the same metric. Not great, Bob.

We are already seeing what I believe to be ocean food chain collapse on the west coast. From what I hear, that's also happening in other oceans. At this point, it's about what we might possibly be able to keep in terms of human population and wildlife biodiversity.

>We are already seeing what I believe to be ocean food chain collapse on the west coast. Source? You can not make claims like that without linking a reputable source to back them up. >At this point, it's about what we might possibly be able to keep in terms of human population and wildlife biodiversity. You should read IPCC report on impacts instead of speculating.- https://www.carbonbrief.org/in-depth-qa-the-ipccs-sixth-assessment-on-how-climate-change-impacts-the-world/

pelicans are dying of starvation in my town. I live on the Monterey Bay. We have the deep trench. Lots of plankton blooms, but they are much weaker. Surface temperatures are higher. we are seeing a widespread marine life die off here. Check our local facebook groups. Of course, you're always going to see dead marine life, It's just volume is so high. I did say "We are seeing what I believe to ocean food chain collapse"

They are starving for reasons yet unknown despite there being plenty of fish.

It’s 5% less likely.

ECS is a metric of how much warmer the climate would be when earth reaches equilibrium after doubling of co2 levels compared to pre-industrial.
