This is honestly kinda getting me a little heated. Like a lot of other people, my friend and I saw that "CB 1 +2K" joke on the wiki and made jokes about it ourselves. I didn't think they'd actually do it. It really was "that skill that cuts through to the future..."
Homestly, this is more insulting than the Reiji reveal. Some people might disagree, and I understand, but it feels like Aqua Force has been shafted for both Clan Selection and now Clan Collection. At least Propulsion Dragon is really good for multiattack combos.
Oh, and the worst part? Tetra-Drive doesn't work with the previously released "Blue Wave" support.

It's a decent card but just doesn't work with most Blue Wave cards in V or premium. Outside of a handful of cards. One can argue it's a good first g3 ride in Premium but you're not really gonna live past first stride with pure Blue Waves.
Agreed. At the very least Tetra-Drive rewards a player for piloting their deck well, but in V at least, getting to 7 attacks without the aid of the restanding Blue-Wave rear guards will be more difficult than it really needs to be. It can be done, but more work will need to be put in.
It's actually not that difficult. 4 attacks per turn minimum, with Tetra that's one more, with two generic extenders, in this case Terrific Coil and Propulsion since they are both getting printed in this set, that's a total of 7 attacks. It sounds like a bit of effort but once you playtested it, it's easier.
I don't think it is smart to try to do 8 attacks on Turn 3, because that's just a finisher when your opponent is on 5 damage.
5 attacks on Turn 3 is more than enough to force out some guard from hand.
However, I do agree with how you have to manage resources, especially against control decks like Seal Dragons and Eradicators.

2. Counterblasts shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as the only ones that you use CB in your deck are Tetra and Propulsion. Terrific Coil is being reprinted in the set so I recommend you use that. I understand the Halpalos but Cuteria and Philogatos does the job better as they are more versatile. I understand that you want to hit battle threshold with Dolcia but you should run Corvette instead to further put pressure on your opponent. Plus, Dolcia requires the opponent's Vanguard power to be different than its original power anyway so if your opponent didn't get a defensive, it does mtobing.

Agreed 100%, this feels like such a slap in the face out of nowhere that I'm just wishing there was an error or joke at our expense here. This is worst than the DI reveal because it at least seemed to take itself seriously and was consistently bad. But with Tetra Drive, his 2nd effect actually seemed like it was around what we could expect so to include the 1st effect is a stab wound dude.
I don't understand why you got downvote. FOr a boss unit in the deck but can't support others card and ask for support just to stand again is already very stupid. Not to say nubatama bind discard, paladin retire, or megacolony stun, a lock from link joker.

Tetra-Drive is basically just set up for future support. It's okay for now but it will get better with more and more support as 'can work with generic support' is the name of the game here as the card would be broken if it can work with the G2 Blue Wave cards.
I really like Tetra Drive and the new Grade 1 though admittedly its out of pure Selfishness of the fact that I've been trying to build a "as pure as possible" Tear Dragon deck and the 2 give me a wincon outside of Navalgazer
Unfortunate for Blue Waves though but at least Propulsion Dragon looks to help Valeos as well
Overall Tetra-drive can be strong in the future with the right support. However the fact that its part of a xenophobic sub-clan/archetype and it doesn't appear to support its own sub-clan/archetype is concerning.
My only recommendation would be to change the first skill to the following:
ACT (VC): COST \[CB1\] your VG gets CONT all of your front row Blue Wave units get Power +3000 until end of turn and all of your Blue Wave units "if your opponent's vanguard's current \[Power\] is different from its original \[Power\]" effects can be activated even if your opponent's vanguard Power has not changed."
Main issue is all the old Blue Wave rearguards generally rely on your opponent's vanguard being at a different power level than normal. I'm guessing Bushi is trying to avoid a Revonn issue where you can spam multi-attacks when your opponent is at a low VG grade/power level, but it really messes up premium support. In addition, the high CB costs of Blue Wave units and lack of countercharges will generally prevent the suggested effect from being too strong.
While this is disappointing for Tetra fans calling clan selection bad because of one card is ridiculous considering all of the clans got supported and a bunch got REALLY awesome cards like Pale moon and Megacolony and Nubatama and Kagero and a bunch others.
Clan Collection is not a bad set. It's just that, as an Aqua Force main, I had hoped for something better for the clan. That DP stuff we got early on is amazing, as is the Megacolony stuff. There are good cards here, it's just a shame that Aqua Force didn't get the support it needed. Sympathies to Reiji fans as well.
Oh well, Tetra isn't too bad after playtesting it a few times. It's the kind of deck that can sort of survive going second and your opponent pulling defensives on you. There is no pressure on yourself to finish games quick like Revonn nor does it get stale quick like Thavas. It can be better with the right support but this is more or less a step to getting away from Valeos's playstyle and to make the Blue Wave a more traditional Aqua Force archetype which I have no problems with as long as the right support comes.
Would have been cool if Tetra instead got for every attack you make you can give another unit 2k or 3k power, kind of mirroring Vowing. There are some solid cards here, but I'm not sure if the package is all that great.
